barrel chicken sandwich with Nashville hot sauce on the side
    Kelsey S.

Our family stopped in over the weekend for dinner. We got seated inside right away. I don't think the air conditioner was working because it was hotter inside than outside. They had a live band playing and there was a pretty decent crowd. They have a lot of staff and they all work quick and together. Our family ordered a round of drinks and they came out fairly quick. They weren't too strong for a cocktail but they were good. I had the raspberry spiked lemonade, I liked it. I tried the blue berry one which I thought was better. The pina colada crush was a little too sweet. I had ordered the barrel chicken sandwich, with the Nashville hot sauce in the side. I really like it, just was too hot inside to finish. It comes with a big pile of chips. The Nashville hot sauce was pretty good. My boyfriend loved his hush puppies. Everyone enjoyed what they got including the honey chicken Mac and cheese, buffalo chicken wrap and the burger. As there was 6 of us, they did charge for gratuity. 6 people $200. Not too bad. Just wish it wasn't too hot inside.

Made reservations for a Friday evening with some friends. We opted for the dining room since there was live music in the bar. We started off with the crab dip, which was really tasty! I'm used to eating crab dip with bread or pretzels but the tortilla chips they served were really good with it. For meals, we ordered Caesar salads with blackened chicken, Baltimore crab soup, and salmon BLT salad. The chicken was good but the Caesar salad itself just tasted like wet lettuce without any dressing. My friends liked the soup but thought it tasted more like cream of crab as they couldn't really taste the mix of Maryland crab. Our server was super nice and kept checking in throughout the evening.

Our daughter and grandson recommended that we try the Fallston Barrel House. So, we did. We made a reservation for a late lunch at 3:15 PM. We were very surprised to see the parking lot full of cars. We were told that a reunion was taking place in the main part of the dining room. We sat at the one low table in the corner of the bar, and it was perfect. The restaurant is decorated in a nostalgic theme - old pictures of long gone actors, and whiskey barrels. The restaurant is huge. We were told that they could accommodate up to 400 people in an assortment of dining rooms and bars. They also have an outside patio bar. Our server, Justin, was very friendly and attentive. We all decided on burgers. My husband and I had the Barrel Burger topped with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and bacon. The burger came with chips. Our friends had the Fallston BYO Burger which meant in addition to the 1/2 lb. fresh Angus chuck, they could make it their own. They had fresh onions, cheese, bacon and a fried egg. They got their burgers with fries. The burgers were cooked perfectly to our specifications. We were all pleased with our burgers and the restaurant.

The burgers are always delicious! The shrimp salad was equally as good! The honey chicken mac n cheese was lacking the little sweetness you should get from the tenders, but was still good. Tater tots fried perfectly crispy! Some of the best onion rings I have had, and I have tried many! The prices are a bit pricey for some things, but worth the it! I would like them to add Pepsi Zero to their drink list. But thats a meh issue. The restaurant was loud due to the live music, and also had music playing over speakers. There were a little packed, but we got a table immediately. Our server was nice and attentive. I have been here a few times and always love the food! 100% recommend!

Live music and food. First visit to this HarCo landmark.

Bidenomics. Stings everyone, everywhere and politicians don't care. They've forgotten they work for us and that we are a "free" people. I decided to descend on the FBH to take in some live music on a Sunday afternoon. Carl Filipiak and Jimi Jazz rocked the house. The show was in the FBH Cellar. So, what does one do when they go out to hear live music? Well, you eat and drink. And that's what a buddy of mine and I did today. Service here is very good and attentive. Food? Well, let's go back to Bidenomics. My first visit, reviewed here in Yelpland, had me order home style chicken tenders. Last year, four tenders ran $15. Today? Three for $14. Hmmm. Everything seems to be up at least a third from a year ago. Food. Energy. Fireworks. Food, retail and foodservice: we have the above example. And, even shopping at Aldi, $50 filled three bags. Now it fills two. On top of that, items are in smaller packages and prices are stratospheric. For the same amount of money a friend spent for his annual Independence Day celebration, he only got two thirds of what he bought last year. Enough of my rant. There's 81 million reasons why things are the way they are and I'm kinda tired of it. Oh, my $63 synthetic blend oil changes are now $107. All said and done, despite Bidenflation, FBH is a great dining and entertainment destination.

Decided the last minute to stop and grab a bite before a long drive home. Better than expected. The food was good. Service was good.

They supply the BEST music and fill the dance floor every Monday from 6-9:30

Never have I been to a place that my husband and I have enjoyed as much the FBH! Great food, live entertainment, huge dance floor filled with fun folks and the friendliest staff. We love it so much that we're there on a weekly basis!

We ordered a veggie breakfast burrito (yum), a make your own omelet (delish) that came with potatoes and toast, a carnivore bowl, and two sides of bacon. All dishes were great. Knew the menu very well. and gave us some menu recommendations that were all spot on. The interior of the restaurant is a dark wood kind of muted bar type look. It's not a very big area, but it's very cozy. We ordered the glazed chicken dinner and the salmon dinner. They were both recommendations of the waiter and he did not disappoint. Five stars for both dishes. The only thing I did not like really was the old-fashioned that I ordered. It was hardly any bourbon in it. But other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is excellent. The service was excellent.

Every town, burg, or community - however large or small - should be the proud possessor of at least…read moreone... Bistro, that is. A cozy little restaurant that serves up delightfully delicious food in a decidedly casual setting. And in Havre de Grace, The Vineyard Wine Bar fills this niche with a subtle sense of style. As the name suggests, wine has played a significant role in Vineyard's obvious success. So much so, in fact, that not only does the restaurant sport a superb compendium of vintages by the glass and bottle, its lunch and dinner menus are also divided into categories - Light Bodied, Medium Bodied, Full Bodied - that correspond to specific types of wines. Yes, wine is definitely the name of the game... But don't let that fool you. The kitchen also has a great deal to say... and all of it good. The food here is excellent in every respect, as is the service. If I lived in HdG, I have absolutely no doubt that I would be tempted to dine here every day of the week. The Vineyard is everything a great bistro should be - and then some. But I begin to digress... As you have undoubtedly surmised from the above remarks, our dinner here was an extraordinarily satisfying experience. My dining partner and I began by sharing the Bruschetta Trio. Bruschetta is an Italian appetizer that begins with grilled bread topped with garlic and olive oil and then adds a variety of toppings. In this case, the finishing touches consisted of a luscious garlic spread, sundried tomato and basil pestos, melted mozzarella, and house marinated tomatoes with a balsamic glaze. While most incarnations of bruschetta may be consumed manually, Vineyard's substantially succulent variations on the theme (as you will note from the photograph above) demanded the ministrations of both knife & fork and were well worth the effort... Incredibly and unforgettably delicious. As we moved on to what would be considered the entrée or main course, options were numerous and varied... from Cornish Game Hen to Crispy Skin Duck... Venison to Dakota Steak... Lamb Vindaloo to Pesto Bucatini... ... On this particular evening, however, matters piscatorial appeared to take precedence. My dining partner was absolutely ecstatic with her Tuna Bites. Which is precisely what they were... diminutive squares of blackened tuna luxuriating in a Creole remoulade (a creamy, mayonnaise-based sauce originating in France). A definite "wow" factor at work here. On the other hand, my Mango Glazed Salmon was equally up to the mark... First of all, it was wild caught, which I much prefer (with rare exception) to the farmed variety. Secondly, as with most species of fish, salmon tends to be prone to both over and under cooking. Here, however, it was perfectly prepared - cooked through but still moist and succulent at the core - superbly complemented by a slightly smokey red pepper coulis (a smooth sauce made from puréed and strained fruits or vegetables), and companioned by lemon & herb risotto and roasted asparagus spears. On to the wine... With regard to both taste and texture, tuna and salmon are certainly among finny fare's heartiest representatives. Thus, despite the oft-quoted dictum, "Red wine with meat, white wine with fish," and the gentle urgings of our server in that direction, I have always found that salmon and pinot noir are - somewhat akin to lamb and red Bordeaux - a match made in heaven. And, in this instance, the 2022 Lundeen Mon Père Pinot Noir from Oregon's Willamette Valley proved to be a perfect match for my companion's blackened tuna bites as well. Dessert was a special treat. Naturally, many of the usual familiar sweet endings were present and accounted for. And, given the superior quality of the cuisine thus far, I had no doubt whatsoever that they would have acquitted themselves with suitable aplomb. For some reason, however, my dining companion and I were both drawn to the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake (pictured), which we decided to share... and, which, as it turned out, proved to be one of the high points of our evening. This was an intriguing amalgam indeed: The sweetness of taste being more influenced by the former; the firmness of texture by the latter. It is - if you will pardon the seemingly psychological digression - what we might consider a type of "gastronomic Gestalt," in which the whole is greater than the mere sum of its parts. In other words, the components of Crème Brûlée and Cheesecake have been combined... and from this fascinating combination there has emerged a new dessert that is even more desirable than the components have been individually. Well... call it what you will. I just know that it was so incredibly delicious that I would return at a moment's notice just to indulge my taste buds once again.

We liked a few of the wines and ended up purchasing a bottle of Honor Cava Brut Rosato for $32.99. Solid choice. Nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable and fairly priced for the setting. The space itself felt calm and cozy, especially with the fireplace and wine displays, but at the time we were there it didn't have a ton of energy or buzz. To be fair, it was early in the day, so I can absolutely see this place feeling very different in the evening or on a weekend when the patio and waterfront vibe are in full swing. V-NO is a pleasant, low pressure wine stop with friendly service, a thoughtful tasting experience, and a beautiful waterfront location. It may not scream "vibes" during slower daytime hours, but it's an easy place to relax, learn what you like, and enjoy a glass (or a bottle) without feeling rushed. I'd definitely come back later in the day to see it come to life.

We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas.
