Hey friends! So...Monday is martini & margaritas for $5 day here & WOWZERS!!! They actually have ALL of their signature martinis at this price!!! ( Which is like 7-8 of them!!!) Im pretty sure we tried all of them! They had an amazing happy hr for munchies as well & the beautiful bartenders Gabby & Casey were absolutely amazzzzzing!!!! We went here the other evening and had a really nice night. It was not very loud and it was a dim lit room. Give out fresh bread as well. They had a good spread of different fish. Cooked in different ways. The cocktails were nice. I ordered the reef punch and it was refreshing. The cod imperial was so good! I loved it. The flavors were on point and I would highly recommend it. We were really disappointed in our New Year's Eve dinner at Bonefish, Bel Air, MD (12/31/25). Sat at the bar where the cocktails and wait staff were very good. That said, both the lobster stuffed shrimp and the crab topped UNICORN should have said, "ESSENCE OF LOBSTER/CRAB" There was little if any lobster/crab to be found. Further, the rice/risotto side was a cold blob, resembling day old partially-cooked mashed potatoes. Additionally, both plates were tepid at best. NOT a good dining experience. This, hopefully, was an aberration, since the location was busy, ( capacity crowd) thus, very noisy, as, usually, Bonefish here and elsewhere have been decent. read more

Not my favorite place to eat bit one of my friends loves this place due to the bang bang shrimp appetizer. Luckily we came here on a Tuesday or Wednesday when they was a shrimp special. We ended up trying other food, neither of us liked our entrees and just wished we would have just eaten more shrimp. Drinks were vastly different between the 2 bartenders; so we only ordered from the young lady since there was a full ounce difference in liquor between the drinks. Stopped by here for late lunch on Sunday. There was not many people in the restaurant which I thought was weird for Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away and the server took our drink order right away. I ordered one of the special, ahi tuna with jasmine rice and broccoli. The food was good but the rice was undercooked. We also ordered the mussel as an appetizer. The sauce tasted sweet like some Thai curry. It was definitely different but good. After a few hours traveling with three kids coming from the Poconos we had to stop for something to eat! The wait wasn't long after making reservations by phone. They took Covid precautions and made the atmosphere easier to be in given the fear people have. The waitress was attentive but seemed to struggle with the amount of tables that were in her area. My appetizer (bang bang shrimp) was not put in in by mistake, I realized after my friend got hers and people who were seated after us got theirs and soon as I mentioned it to the waitress, she did put the app in. We took 3 first-timers here this evening and their plates were completely cleaned! They were each very impressed. Our waiter was perfect! He served us very well but wasn't pesty like some. My how the mighty have fallen! This place used to be a solid choice for a nicer dinner out in Bel Air. Unfortunately that's no longer the case. To start, our server was subpar, walking by us several times without any acknowledgement. Then we ordered from the Social Hour menu, and I pointed to the Meomi listed for $9. She asked if I wanted the 6 or 9 oz glass, and I chose 9 (there was only one price on the menu, which was $9). When the bill came, my wine was almost $19 a glass! I couldn't understand why a difference of 3 oz would be more than double the $9 on the menu, let alone that the server never mentioned it (obviously just trying to drive up the bill). When the manager came over, she essentially said that this was just the way it was but did agree to charge me for the wine I had consumed, which was fine. But the worst part was that we could see the server and manager having a full conversation about us. They were pointing and laughing, completely visible to our table and everyone else. I get it, we were the "problem" table, but for heaven's sake, take it back in the kitchen. It felt petty and we were super uncomfortable, and frankly it all left a terrible taste in our mouths. They served me raw food. Which happens I get it. They brought me out a new dish that was cooked properly. The manager apologized. It was a lobster tail that was raw and I did eat some of the veges and stuff on the plate before I realized it. The reason for the 1 star is that I was not offered anything for the mistake. I didn't expect my $40 lobster meal for free, but maybe a coupon to come back or my drink taken off. I sat without food for an additional 15-20 min while my husband ate alone and then I ate alone. The pieces of shrimp were pretty big, and it was tossed in a very delightful and savory sauce (4.5/5). As for entrees, a couple of my friends and I ordered the Blackened Baja Fish Tacos (3/5), Crabcake Sandwich (3/5), and Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. If you are a fan of their bang bang shrimp, the taco version will not disappoint. I was not impressed by my fish tacos because the fish wasn't seasoned at all, or lacked flavor. I admired the addition of mango salsa and greens to my taco, making for a very colorful dish. I usually love mango on my foods, but it didn't seem super fresh to me, and became annoyingly sweet rather than enhancing the taste of my taco. My boyfriend does not recommend the Crabcake Sandwich either. He claims that it was very bland, and came with less crabcake than anticipated. Our server was very sweet, and the complimentary bread with olive oil was delicious! She also recommended the side of Potatoes Au Gratin, which was easily the best part of my meal. During our meal, I believe the manager came up to us and greeted us. I appreciate something as simple as asking your customers how their meal was because it shows that you take pride in customer satisfaction and make it priority. We went here for dinner on Memorial Day around 6 PM without a reservation. We were seated promptly. The restaurant ambiance is pleasant and the food is tasty. I love the bread! I had the 6 oz filet mignon for my entree which comes with two sides. I enjoyed my food as well as the four people I dined with. Something I did take note of however... There was a man, who I assume was the manager, approaching each table inquiring on the food and service. He did not come to my table, except to help serve the food. Even so, he did not say a word. My party of five was the only one composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds, so I do believe that were not shown the same open, accommodating service because of our race. I was unsure whether this was significant, but I saw another Yelp review about racist service so thought it would be important to mention. How disappointing. The food itself is tasty but if you want good service you're better off visiting a different Bonefish location. Would not go here again. read more

Their food is better than average. If you haven't had their bang bang shrimp, I highly recommend it. As one who doesn't like to waste food, I usually request a side of ranch dressing to both dip the semi-spicy shrimp in as well as to pour the remainder over the lettuce that fills the bottom of the vessel the shrimp is served over, it makes for a spicy salad (along with the remnants of the bang bang shrimp sauce). The mac & cheese is creamy & kid friendly. The french fries were soft, squishy, over-oily and inedible (tested by both child and adult). But here's the rest of the visit. I went with my 10-year-old son. He wanted the mac & cheese. I, of course, wanted bang bang shrimp (& a bowl of lobster bisque, also very good). The server asked if I wanted the shrimp & soup together. "Yes", I did. And they were. Shortly after my shrimp & soup were delivered by the kitchen, the server came over and asked how everything was. I said mine is fine, but my son was missing his mac & cheese. She said, condescendingly, "You.Never.Ordered.It." Really? Ok. So, rather perplexed, I asked (again) if we could get an order of mac & cheese. She said, "you got it". As the server walked away, my son grinned and said, "she said, 'you got it' the first time you ordered it". Hopefully, we'll get it this time. Let's stop and examine this. Let's assume, on the off-chance, that I indeed didn't order food for my son (because we can't assume either the soup or shrimp was for him because she asked me if I wanted them served together), wouldn't that prompt the server ask either me or him what he wanted to eat? He's 10, not 2. Do we assume that the acceptable practice is to take only one person's order when two are sitting at a table? It makes no sense. If we take the server at her word, that would mean I ordered for myself and she simply walked away without even inquiring as to what my son would or wouldn't eat. Nope. She forgot to put in my son's order and then blamed me. I was ordering take-out as well, but given this fiasco, I called it in while I sat there and then picked it up on my way out. Of course, the hostess who seated us knew we just ate. So when I asked for the take-out order, I did tell her that, given the obvious dinner failure, I didn't want the server to screw it up twice. My advice to you eating there is -- make sure you all get the opportunity to order food, otherwise some of you may not be able to eat together. My advice to the restaurant is -- if your server staff suffers from short-term memory loss, perhaps it would be better if they actually wrote orders down, and maybe even count the number of orders against the number of seated patrons to make sure they don't skip anyone. 1 + 1 = 2. read more

However last night was disappointing. Our waitress was lovely. Our drinks were good. The bang bang shrimp was delicious. But after that it was very poor. The sea bass was rubbery and tasteless. The mashed potatoes were hard , pre cooked and obviously microwaved. The Singapore noodles were so over seasoned I'm sure my husband's blood pressure rose 20 points due to all the sodium. A few times, things have fallen short of expectation, but nothing huge. For example, last time, my friend's side of jasmine rice was on the hard/crunchy side. She said something to the waiter, and a replacement side was given quickly. No big deal, and service was good. Often, the manager will go around and ask how everything is going. One time my mom expressed that she loves the bread and oil. As we received our check, the waitress gave a box of extra bread and oil. It gets busy on the weekends and Wednesday bang bang shrimp night. If you have reservations (online!), seating is just a short wait if at all. One of the few chains I like. This was the third time my wife and I have been here. This time we came to have the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer...it was fantastic. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, not a chewy rubbery one among the plenitude of delicious crustaceans delivered to us. Both of our dinners were absolutely great. I had the scallops, which were seared, tender, and seasoned to perfection. To those who hate crowds, why go to a good restaurant, because that is what they draw...crowds of people who want to eat.
