I knew it was out of freon because the AC was leaking freon. James was able to schedule for an early morning appointment to repair the leak the following day. He put in more freon in the meantime so my house will have air conditioning until they can repair it. The next morning, Chris and his crew showed up as promised, first thing in the morning and fixed the leak. I will definitely use Richmond's Air again in the future, but for now, hopefully this leak repair will last me for a few years before having to call for service again. Hopefully my next call to Richmond's Air will be a yearly maintenance type of deal and not to fix a leak! I definitely recommend this company. As a PSA, please, please, please STAY AWAY from home warranty service companies! If you must purchase one, stay away from Fidelity National. This is while Service Experts recommended $1K+ part placements and later stating that would not fix anything and I needed to replace the unit (that is furnace, condenser, and coil for $10K+). While in my attic they also told me I needed to replace my water heater tanks either with new tanks ($8K+) or with a tankless water heater ($6.5K). They also attempted to sell me their "maintenance plan" and "advantage plan" which basically locks you in for 10 years if you replace anything while the replacement is not even yours. It is leased to you. AVOID BY ALL MEANS!

The follow up is to warn you again that these people are dishonest and to never let them put anything on your credit card. After they called and said they were going to credit the false charge, they sent me an invoice in both June and July 2026 to bill me for the fraudulent charge they shouldn't have made in May in the first place. I Have also filed a charge against them for these invoices with the Texas Attorney General (maybe I'll message Paxton that I'm not voting for him if I'm still getting these bills ;-) )and a fraud complaint with the FTC. I will send a letter to their corporate office to the CEO and General Counsel, but they are probably as dishonest as this Houston office. So I'm going to file complaints for each and every invoice I receive on this in the future.
