I contacted them in April, 2026 to do some touch up and they said they would as soon as we got to a period of time when it wasn't going to rain. It's now September and they haven't gotten back to me. I have left phone messages and they don't return my calls. I sent a text message and I got a response that said I was blocked. I called their phone number today and the message was that the mailbox was full. I'm wondering if they're still in business, although their website indicates that they are. Is there a reason they can't do work now or are they just stonewalling me? I wonder if I'll ever find out. It's a shame how they have treated me because they did good work in the beginning. Why spoil everything over a simple touch up job?

It is time consuming and one can easily become swayed by the personalities of the people coming out to do the estimate and walk-through process. The owner, John Bryant was the first person out of four who we interviewed. Our final decision to go with Capital Concrete Coatings was based on several factors. John is an good communicator, highly experienced in his field, and made good suggestions. He invested additional time by meeting with us at another's client's home to see his work. In talking with him, we recognized that creativity is part of his thought process and it makes for the execution of a good design. Now, that the project is complete, we are thrilled with the results. The Project: Resurfacing our concrete pool decking and making it look like a stone surface. The job was complicated by the fact that a portion of the deck was not level. John worked closely with us in coming up with the right stains and gave us good advice in terms of choosing colors that would not make the concrete surface too hot during the summer. Even more importantly, the combination of colors chosen made the stone look so natural. The primary team worked well together and were guided by Richard, a good man, experienced and a long-time employee of Capital Concrete. Just so you know, John played an active role, especially when the slip was put down and especially when drawing and painting took place. He was totally hands on during the whole process. I should add that we had no idea how labor intensive and time consuming this was going to be, but the final product leaves no doubt that it was done by professionals. (The day that they started hand-drawing and cutting the rock patterns as well as the following day when staining took place were so exciting that I almost wanted to pull up a chair and a bowl of popcorn while watching them make art in our backyard. I jokingly called John, Degas and Rich, Picasso.) I hope, if you choose this company, you can be around to witness the process. We are truly thankful that we selected this company. I can't wait till Covid19 gets kicked to the curb so we can have a cocktail party out on that gorgeous pool deck. Photos simply can't capture it all.

The people were nice, but lacked basic skills as the wall was completely uneven. This caused challenges later when the fence company tried to complete their portion of the project. They also used chipped bricks throughout the wall. When asked about it, Aphascapes advised that the bricks were defective. Then why using defective bricks in the first place then? They bought them directly from the supplier and the cost was included in the overall project. Very unethical. I contacted them on 2/18 to fix the chipped bricks and Alphascapes advised that they would come by. I reached out multiple times to follow-up with them but then the communication simply stoped. They have yet to show up as I am writing this review. I had to hire another contractor to fix them. This company might be ok when it comes to basic landscaping projects but I would not hire them for anything else. This was a nightmare.
