    Bananas Foster Pie

Work had company Xmas party here for 30 people at a cost of $2,880. 2-stars for service, drinks, ambiance. 1. Alcohol: It's Miami so we all ordered Mojitos and they tasted like gasoline. So we reordered vodka & tonic, Jack & Coke - drinks that can't be made wrong. This is funny, but they forgot the tonic and just served straight vodka! Jeff ordered a glass of Pepsi and it took 90 minutes to get it. Also they only refilled our water goblets once in 3 hours. 1-star for the beverage service. 2. Salad bar: They had us eat salad for over one hour which is less expensive than meat; but the salad bar was exotic. Kalamata olives, marinaded artichoke, grilled garlic cloves, sautéed mushrooms, salmon, prosciutto, sliced parmigiano cheese, lobster bisque, and many more items. 4-stars for the Salad Bar. 3. The Meats. It's a steakhouse so meat is the Star Performer. First they bring out the inexpensive meats like sausages and chicken and overcooked beef. I skipped all those. Finally they brought the flank beef steak and the lamb. The lamb was amazing and I got exactly 3 bites of it. Again, we paid $80 per person plus a 20% gratuity. 4. Rest Period. For an unknown reason, the staff left us alone for more than 30 minutes while we sat with empty plates. 5. Dessert. There was a beautiful dessert plate of six offerings that were so artistic. I actually couldn't narrow it down to even the top three choices. However, we didn't get this. We had our choice of Key Lime pie or Banana Foster pie. Almost everyone chose the Banana Foster pie and it was 5-star delicious. Since this is a chain restaurant, I don't know if it was baked on the premises or shipped in frozen. 4-stars for dessert. 6. Ambience. Here is where the restaurant truly downgraded our holiday party. They had a beautiful dining room with floral arrangements and statues, but they didn't seat us there even though it was nearly empty. They put us in a tight closet where we were literally elbow to elbow and that's why we had poor service. Luckily we're a great crew who enjoy each other's company, so we made the best of the tight uncomfortable seating. This closet they put us in didn't even have artwork on the walls or one centerpiece. It was a disappointment since we expected fancy treatment. 1-star for the party room and the ambiance. In conclusion, be sure to reserve the dining room; do not order any mixed drinks; and wait for the lamb. Then you might enjoy this chain restaurant.

Not the best Texas de Brazil location I've been to in terms of food, but then again maybe they've gone downhill a bit as a chain or the novelty has worn off. For anyone who has never been, it's still a definitely a must try once. However, if you're familiar with the all-the-meat-you-can-eat concept and have high expectations, you may be a bit disappointed. Only one of the meats really wowed me. Seasoning was good, just a tad salty. The salad bar here did really impress me, everything, even the lettuce, was totally fresh. Service was friendly. The interior was freezing, the AC was set to a temperature much colder than it needed to be, which made it not only unpleasant, but also made your food go cold really fast.

This was the first time my husband and I visited this restaurant. The over sized centerpieces and decor was beautiful. The atmosphere was refreshing and beautiful. The service was amazing and staff was pleasant. Everything about this experience was great up until my server or concierge presented the check and stated that the gratuity was not included. First off it's not a law that's written anywhere that a patron must include gratuity. I dine out well enough to know that at the bottom of the check will let you know if gratuity has been calculated in the meal or not. Let me at least see the check before it's even told to me. Then when I receive the check it's all marked up with X's and all types of lines indicating the gratuity breakdown. I find that offensive and unprofessional for a restaurant of this tier. I don't know if they all have been trained to do that and if every single patron's receipt looks like mine did but it was pretty degrading seeing this receipt. Staff needs to be retrained to Uphold fine dining etiquette standards.

Loved our Thanksgiving dinner here. It's been a while since my family has been here but the service was fantastic and they seated us quickly. The buffet and salad bar were freshly stocked and we were able to get some sides for our meats. The selection of meats were great and cooked to our preference. Our server Jennifer was very helpful and had my lamb chops order brought to our table. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back another time.

We were pretty disappointed with the meat selection. It was very fatty and chewy. They only sent out their "expensive" specials once. When we asked our waiter to send over some medium rare filet mignon, the chef sent it over raw. Everything was over seasoned to make you drink water and fill up quick. Not worth the $64. Random $.50 ID charge on the receipt as well...we didn't order alcohol. Pass.

The salad bar is awesome. They come around frequently with the meats but the better meats like Filet Mignon don't come around that often. The fried banana was delivered to the table it did not look appealing at all. The Lobster Bisque was awesome. The mashed potatoes were not good at all. Seemed watery to me.

Cous cous at the salad bar!! Get it!!

We were very welcomed walking through the door. We were offered seating inside or out. The Floridians feel the weather is too muggy to sit outside, we were more than happy to do so. A word of caution, you are on a very busy street when you sit outside, so there is a good deal of traffic noise. To begin, they bring out a plate of four types of bread, along with a tray with green and black olives and a red tangy spread. This was quite good. We started out with an empanada appetizer. You have a choice of four kinds, we went with spinach. Before the appetizer arrived, the waitress brought out a plate of bread and olives. We are off to an excellent start. When the empanadas showed up, we were provided 8 cups of dips, six of which were different toppings to put on the appetizer. We tried them all. From barbecue sauce to salt, hummus, and a tomato based sauce, we had fun tasting the different flavors. For the entree, both of us went with the Outside skirt steak. We went this route as it was recommended by the waitress as one of their more signature dishes. We went with it prepared, medium. A short time later, the meal arrived, both of which were the 14 ounce portion. They do offer a larger portion if you're super hungry. The steak was slightly overcooked, but not enough to ruin the mood. The steak was flavorful, but a bit on the fatty side. I get the fat as it adds flavor so it really was not an issue. The meals come à la carte. So we ordered steamed broccoli and sweet potato fries. Overall good experience. A place I would return to again.

We had reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. They have a tree in the middle that gives it an outdoor open feel. And an incredible wine display in the back. Our waitress, from Portugal, did a great job of explaining the menu to us and guiding us on what to order. We started off with the Bolinhos de Bacalhau which are cod fritters and OMG they were sooo good! These tasted identical to the ones we've eaten in Lisbon. It comes with the classic pairing of black eyed peas which are awesome when eaten together. We also tried the Chouriço Assado which the presentation when its brought to the table is a treat itself. It comes out on a flaming pig and then its sliced tableside. Our waitress recommended trying the chorizo with the piri piri sauce which is slightly spicy and it was delicious. It added another layer of flavor. For entree we got the Paelha Marinheira which was absolutely amazing. First off, its a huge portion and comes piping hot. Each bite was full of seafood. We added the lobster which was perfection. It's great to share between 2 people. For dessert we ended with the pasteis de nata and its great because it brings 2 pastries and we paired it with ice cream. It makes for the perfect sweet treat without being too much. The pasteis de nata is served slightly warm and is perfect with the cool ice cream. Overall great restaurant for some Portuguese cuisine.

I had the seafood stew, which was hearty and full of mussels, fish, clams, white beans, and other seafood. Side rice was just ok. My mom enjoyed her salmon and vegetables, which included eggplant. For dessert, I had to get the famous dessert of Portugal, pastel de nata, which is a mini egg custard tart. It tasted wonderful, but was different from the traditional pastel de nata because it had cinnamon and powdered sugar on top, and personally I like the traditional plain version better. My port (sweet wine) was a delicious accompaniment. Service was very attentive. Interior is small and cozy. Plenty of parking.
