Everything was smaller portioned than our tasting. We did not go with Sagno for the cake since I did not like their cake. We ordered tiramisu, the tiramisu was not made with marscapone instead cream cheese, obviously cheaper and not the right taste. The Miami events- awesome all the way around! The violinist was amazing, the dance floor beautiful and great DJ. Drinks by us- great to work with but only around 8 bottles that were average brands. For a full open bar not sure it would be enough for a lager crowd. There are a lot of additional costs to the all inclusive price. We arrived about 15 minutes before show time and parked in one of the nearby Aventura city parking lots (complimentary parking), or you can opt for valet parking at a fee. I would personally walk each time because you typically don't walk more than 500 feet or so to get to the building. When you arrive, you go through a light security check point and walk into the venue. They have concessions with a full bar and light snacks. Mixed drinks and wine are $12 for a single or $18 for a double. They have a few spots to walk in and check your tickets and the ushers take you right to your seat. There's not a bad seat in the house (we were two rows from the back of the theater and loved our seats- see photo). If you see a show you want to attend, go for it! It's a great theater, with amazing staff!

Like many women's clubs in Florida, the Hollywood Women's Club was founded in 1922 during the Florida Land Boom years. In the 1920's women's clubs were formed to give back to the community. They became a way for women to get out of the house and assert their independence. They allowed women to get involved in politics and launched the women's rights movement. The Hollywood Women's Club predated the founding of the city and in 1924 they joined the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The first club members were the wives of officers in the J.W. Young Organization which was the development company building Hollywood. They met in the first clubhouse that was built on land donated by the founder of Hollywood, Joseph W. Young in 1927. Early club projects included donating hundreds of books to the first public library, holding tag sales to pay for health screenings for children, giving migrating farmers assistance with housing and welfare, getting the Miami Telephone Co. to bring the first telephone line to town, and collecting $12,000 during a war bonds drive. Today the club supports literacy programs, funds a youth scholarship, participates in the Hollywood Historical Society, supports the neighborhood crime watch, and provides financial aid to many state charities through the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The original plans for the clubhouse included an ornate Mediterranean Revival style. After the collapse of the land boom due to the Great Depression and several hurricanes the design was scaled back to a more affordable $25,000 Classical Revival style building in 1927. The building was listed as a a local historical landmark in 1985, and added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1995. Between 2012 and 2014 money was raised by the club and added to a grant to prevent the clubhouse from sinking into the sand. Other cosmetic work was also completed on this charming historical building. In 2022 the Hollywood Women's Club celebrated their 100th anniversary. During this time further electrical improvements and upgrades to the kitchen were made. Today the clubhouse is available to be rented for private events. The 1,200 square foot main event room has hardwood floors and a grand piano and can accommodate 60 people. There is also a catering kitchen. Information on how to rent the clubhouse and join and volunteer with this important civic organization can be found on the club website. If there are any upcoming events you can find that information as well. For instance they hold 2 round bingo nights for $10. The next bingo night is May 30th and they serve inexpensive drinks including alcohol and snacks. For over 100 years the women of Hollywood have been coming together to improve their local community as well as the state of Florida. Women's clubs have a legacy of helping their communities and it's nice to see that this one is still going strong today.

Previously was able to play with my daughter in the soft play area but now it's not allowed unless the parent purchases a pass as well. I myself never would jump on the trampoline but would watch my daughter play but now that is not allowed unless I also purchase a pass or you will have to sit outside the trampoline area out of view of your kid(s). If the parent purchases the pass you will than also have to purchase the socks or you will not be allowed in the area, even if your not jumping. You will notice all of the employees walking in and out of the trampoline area with their shoes on, all of the employees. Once after purchasing a pass I was told I needed to also get a card and then purchase tickets as well to enter the area which made no sense because I already purchased the 2 hour pass. None of the staff seems to be on the same page with what is happening or what the "current rules" are. They will usually close around 9pm but if you show up between 7pm-8pm they will still charge you for the full 2 hours even though your not getting it. No hourly rate and no discount for the time or pass for a following day just the full price for the 2 hours even though you don't get the time. The reason I'm now writing the review is to let people know my experience so that they can save their time. The new rule they are now implementing after I've been coming here for over two years is that in order for you to go to the trampoline area now you have to be 45 inches tall and my daughter is 2 inches shy of that and she has been coming to this place to play on the trampolines for a very long time and now all of a sudden she is no longer welcome because of her height. She is very disappointed and started crying there in front of everyone and couldn't understand because we have purchased so many pairs of socks every time we've come specifically for the trampoline area because you cannot go without their sock but now all of a sudden she's no longer welcome

We simply wanted to visit the property and take normal pictures of each other while we were there -- no professional photographer, no equipment, and no commercial photoshoot. I was told that because I was "well dressed," I would need to pay over $300 to take pictures. I explained very clearly that this was NOT a professional photoshoot. What disturbed me most was the explanation I was given: I was told that if I had come wearing jeans and a shirt, I would not be charged the additional fee, but because I was wearing a long dress, jewelry, and had my makeup done, I looked like I had money and therefore could afford to pay more. I also felt racially profiled during this interaction and extremely uncomfortable with the assumptions being made about me. A visitor's admission or photography fee should not be determined by how expensive an employee thinks they look, what they are wearing, or how much money an employee assumes they have. If there is a legitimate photography policy, it should be clearly published and applied equally to everyone based on what they are doing -- not based on their clothing, jewelry, makeup, race, or perceived financial status. I came expecting to enjoy a historic and religious site. Instead, I left feeling singled out, judged, and discriminated against. For this to happen at a place of religious significance made the experience even more disappointing.
