Where do I begin to review one of the worst hotel stays of my life? My Room was not as described - a third party site listed a full kitchen & the pictures showed a spacious room. I was provided a tiny double bed room with a "balcony" (2' deep and no room to enjoy). Solé should have some responsibility here since they did not ensure accurate room descriptions with third party sites. Unfortunately they had no other availability so I was stuck with my original room. Absolutely nothing in this hotel has been updated in who knows how long. Except the restroom on the restaurant level. My Room was dirty (clean bedding) and completely plain. See my pictures. No dresser, no laundry bag, only one garbage can provided. It was very challenging for my family of 4 to stay comfortably for a week. Beds were TERRIBLE and gave me back pain every morning. The walls are SO thin and we constantly heard plumbing throughout our stay, which also woke me up at night. Very small pool & limited lounge chairs but lots of beach seating. An inconvenience to walk on the sand to get pool towels every day. Door to the beach was very heavy. Drinks weren't good or strong. Inconsistent pool bar menu prices...clearly they had increased menu prices but were providing both old and new menus. Also inconsistent service- on my first day I had a server come to my pool chair, the next 3 days I did not, instead I had to go up to the bar and order my drinks/food. Food was okay, nothing to complain or rave about. Housekeeping cleaned my room fine, but I ran into the cleaning lady & pointed to my bag of laundry asking her not to toss as that was my laundry. She said "okay yes". Hours later, upon returning to my room, I found that bag gone. Yup, she tossed it. The hotel did take care of the problem to my satisfaction, but I'm still perplexed as to how this happened. I lost my favorite leggings because of the "misunderstanding". Restrooms near pool were one toilet per gender. On my last day the women's restroom ran out of toilet paper. I alerted the staff which called housekeeping, but in the interim, a manager handed me napkins to use as toilet paper... Elevators are extremely slow and time consuming. With the various issues experienced during my stay, the staff never followed up. Either me or my husband had to continuously inquire on updates in order to get a response. Such an incredibly wasted, disappointing experience for my family's spring break vacation.

I didn't take a bath because the water was always this yellow green color.

This hotel had good and not so good things but I will be thorough. I booked through capital one and enjoyed the perks of a free breakfast, drinks, early check in and late check out... supposedly. I would not have paid to eat breakfast there as it was VERY expensive and the wait to be served is long no matter if they are busy or not. It was delicious though. We arrived at the hotel and although I had early check in, the room was not ready. 2 hours later, it was still not ready so they offered me an upgraded room. The only issue with this was that they have 3 elevators and none of them were working. So, my husband hauled our luggage up to the 19th floor which was awful. The room was huge, great views, great tub although I did not bathe in the tub due to color of the water as pictured below, and they did bring a fan when I requested one which was nice. I booked this hotel because online stated they had an indoor pool and hot tub. They do not. The outdoor pool is small and closed at dusk. There is no hot tub and if you want to enjoy the sauna, they have separate women's and men's saunas so you can't enjoy them with your spouse. Eventually the elevators were in working order but they take FOREVER. They day we left, it took over 20 minutes to get downstairs because the elevators are so slow. The room they gave us had a washer and dryer. I let them know upon leaving that the dryer is broken so that they could fix it before next guest. She stated that they were supposed to lock those doors and not let us use them because the washer/dryer was the owners of that room, not the hotel. Well, they didn't lock the doors, we didn't know that, and we used it. The dryer was still broken. The beach access is nice. We stayed end of December and after 2pm, the sun sets behind the buildings so there is no sun on the beach. So, that was disappointing. All that to say, the staff was super attentive and kind so I don't think you'd be unhappy staying here, I just probably wouldn't stay here again.

We won't stay here again. The room wasn't the cleanest and the restaurant does not have many non seafood options and is very very expensive. The restaurant is the only option in the hotel for food, so you have to leave the hotel or DoorDash if you don't want to eat at the restaurant. We had also needed assistance with our tv (it rained the whole weekend we were there). They wouldn't knock on our door unless we removed our do not disturb sign. We removed it and the maintenance man was very helpful. We weren't in a hurry to put the do not disturb sign back on because it was late in the afternoon and we had already seen the cleaning lady in the hall earlier that day. My husband and I were talking on couch and watching tv when all of a sudden our door opened. It was cleaning lady, she didn't knock or announce herself at all. Just used her key and opened the door. She also didn't apologize for walking in on us. For these reasons, we wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to our family or friends.

Customer Service needs lots of improvement, with any issues that arose (inclusive of being moved 3 times for their mistakes!); DID NOT consider courtesy and/or the fact that as a business, there is a required mindset of "customer is always right". The importance of Client / Customer's experience is essential for hospitality and guests should have experiences as close to ideal as possible. Their lack of empathy was extremely disappointing, for instance, a man in their house keeping dept walked into the room without permission! This was escalated and management was not empathetic to the situation and did not immediately apologize BUT rather tried to defend their actions without even understanding the depth of what happened. We were extremely disappointed and couldn't believe this was the service received - you DO NOT get what you pay for when it comes to their customer service. One positive thing is that their service staff (pool attendants, beach attendants, bell boys, car service) were great, as well as the room and beds were decent sizes and comfortable; which is why they received 3 stars or else 1 would suffice...

Although I'm sure that some negative reviews are valid, Solé Miami offered exactly what I was looking for: a quiet and upscale stay with beach front access and room service. My room was exceedingly large, had an extensive balcony (yes, it overlooked the street, but who cares), and had a full kitchen, a large living room, a spacious bedroom, and a beautiful, well-lit bathroom with both a waterfall shower and a bath tub. The hotel is for couples and families (of mainly older children, as I wasn't surrounded by screaming babies) and those who enjoy the finer things in life without needing to stay at the Ritz. No EDM blasting at 3am, drunk people in the hallways, or DJ sets by the pool--just how I like it. While the pool was nothing special, having the hotel have direct access to the beach was such a treat. You can get a chair and a towel (or more depending on the size of your party) until sunset. The water is aquamarine and warm. The front desk staff are very professional and helpful, and very communicative over text or phone! Same with the beach staff. Very nice people! Room service is available. If I ordered takeout, it was brought directly to my room, which was fantastic. I only docked one star because of BALEEN Kitchen, the hotel's restaurant. I'm not one to expect much of a hotel restaurant, but on the whole it was incredibly underwhelming (not bad, not good) and incredibly overpriced. I got a Wedge salad that was just a bunch of lettuce and dressing for a ridiculous price. Other than that, this place is well-run, and has everything one wants for a lowkey yet classy stay in Miami.

We have been eyeing Solé Miami as a potential place to stay next SoFla visit... all I can say is WOW wish we hadn't waited so long!!! It exceeded our expectations on many levels. The location is exquisite with the vast beaches of Sunny Isles which were immaculately well kept. Our 16th floor Oceanfront Suite was impeccably decorated, specious/vast with huge master bedroom/ bathroom, living room, kitchen, 2nd 1/2 bath and had an extensive balcony accessible from sliding doors from living room and master. The valet service was prompt and helpful, Ming, the bellhop service personnel was outstanding and a pleasure to meet and explained the resort and surrounding areas to a "T"!!! The first night we dined at the restaurant on premises Baleen. We were seated quickly and at an intimate table. Our server was helping us navigate some options for dinner. We opted to split the paella which was epic, we added the BLT wedge salad, several glasses of wine and a Mex Mule and topped it all off with some of the best flan ever (and we're from SoFla). We were honored to meet Thrishtan the dining Mgr - she was amenable & just a joy to speak with. Next day of our stay we asked about some Sunny Isles' breakfast local options within walking distance the front desk directed us to an area catty-corner just south. Where we found El Tropicio (ask for Carlos) and get the huevos rancheros w/cuban bread & cafe cubano! Upon returning the short walk back to Solé, we went to the beach and were guided to our complimentary loungers, umbrella and towels set out by friendly cabana service. After the beach we ventured up to the pool and relaxed. While ordering drinks at the pool bar we met another mgr. Chelsey (J) "fabulous Filipina" a delight to meet along with the sweet bartender, young Dominican so sorry I forgot her name- but she concocted and amazing & beautiful purple passion fruit mojito - she rocks!! We went back upstairs to enjoy the balcony until heading out to the Jon Secada concert at Casino Miami. Our stay was everything we hoped + more. To say we enjoyed our stay b4 heading to Key Largo is a huge understatement! See you soon Solé!

Run...do not come or stay here. It's over advertised in pictures on the web. Flew in to celebrate my wife's birthday. I was very disappointed. The place had a super small pool and the rooms were not 4 star motel 6 is better construction going on the balcony were approxy2 feet wide View was not 4 stars...work my way out received refund headed to Ocean beach trying to salvage my trip....RUN..AWAY

Had a corporate event here and hotel & staff was lovely! Rooms were nice, big and clean. The view was incredible! Pamela the Director of Catering and Conference Services was the best person I have ever worked with and was on top of everything!! Anytime I asked her anything, she either already had it done or was 6 steps In front of me. Food throughout the whole event was amazing and chef did an excellent job keeping up with all our needs and allergies. AV needs a little work as there wasn't a day we didn't have an issue or hiccup. I would 100% recommend booking an event here or even staying at this beautiful hotel.

Burger was not made or brought out on time
Maddie O.

We stayed at the wonderful hotel but then we decide to grab some lunch before we went to the beach and it took our waiters to realize we were sitting at the table for 20 minutes and then we decided to wave someone down and they finally decided to come and then as we order a club sandwich and a medium RARE BURGER and we were brought out a well done burger and we asked nicely if we could have it exchanged and realized after another r25 minutes the burger was not brought out the waitress did not apologize for being on her phone and instead of checking on the tables to make sure everything was okay nothing was checked on ... I'm in the restaurant industry for 6 years and this is just unacceptable the waitresses should learn to be attentive to the customers rather then being on their phones on social media.. their is a TIME AND PLACE FOR being on your phone and working.

Professional and clean . Walked in on spur of the moment haircut and blowout . And was accommodated right away. George knew and did his magic . First time I have been there and definitely worth the drive . I live 5 hrs away and definitely recommend George at Solea Beauty Salon at 18160 Collins Ave .

I stayed at this hotel for three nights this past week - a friend wanted to go to Miami for her birthday, and since we live in Michigan, I was definitely game for that, to soak up some sun and beach time. I really want to give Sole 4 out of 5 stars but it's more of a 3-star hotel at this time. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were as well, which is why it gets 3 stars from me rather than 2. GOOD THINGS: -Nice rooms/comfortable beds. -Partial ocean view - we booked on hotels.com and were promised that. However, we had a balcony and the balcony door wasn't able to open (I believe it was supposed to open, it just was stuck or something). -Friendly staff. -Good happy hour - the first night there we dined at the restaurant, and they had $6 Moscow Mules and half-off appetizers. -Sunny Isles Beach is a nice/quiet area, and the majority of the hotel clientele seemed to be couples or families (i.e., not college kids there on spring break). BIG PROBLEMS: -The walls are PAPER thin. We stayed in 1103b, which was connected to 1103a. The first night, I called the front desk to ask that 1103a turn down their music, as it was 11pm and I was trying to sleep. I'm not sure if they called them, but I had to go next door and ask. The next 2 nights, we luckily had quieter neighbors, but I could still hear everything they were saying and doing through the walls. -My friend's keycard never worked, even though it was replaced about 3 times. We had to rely on my keycard instead. SMALL PROBLEMS: -The WiFi password to the pool WiFi, that they handed out on paper cards when we checked in, is incorrect. We told the front desk this; not sure if they ever did anything about it. -For a $30/day resort fee, a complimentary bottle (or two) of water in the room would be nice. -They advertised s'mores on the beach, on weekends, on the website, and they apparently don't do that anymore. Website needs to be updated, then. We asked about it at the front desk, and they told us that "we only do that on weekends" ... it was Saturday at the time ... *eye roll.* -This is more of a "me" problem, but my butt STILL is sore from the pool chairs. Not sure why, because they're wooden but do have a small mattress covering... But I couldn't figure out why I was so sore until I returned to the pool the next day. I'd stay here again but would make sure I did NOT have a connecting/adjoining room. I literally could tell you what type of PHONES my neighbors had (neighbors from night #1, and then different neighbors for nights 2-3) because the walls were THAT THIN. To me, that's a huge problem, especially when it's 11pm or midnight and I'm trying to sleep.

No shower door, we put a towel over the step and on the floor

When we were told our room was going to be ready an hour late, we weren't provided any compensation, vouchers, or discounts. They wouldn't even extend my checkout despite check in being late! Breakfast was a disaster. Children running around everywhere (like they do the whole hotel), long lines, and no service. Food wasn't fresh. Seats were stained with chocolate. Dirty everywhere! Adult pool was a mess. Towels stained yellow and black. Attendant had the audacity to setup our chairs with them despite seeing how unwashed they were. Poolside drinks were $23 a piece and bartender literally gave me a 1/2oz pour for a piña colada. For the $23 I paid I would've expected an over pour! Children screaming, lack of customer service, and poor overall cleanliness makes this JW property feel like a Hampton Inn! Why should I pay $1k a night when I'm treated like I'm unwanted here? The staff was so friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. There's a Starbucks on the property with plenty of seating to sit and enjoy some coffee or your choice of drink. Tidal Cove, which is their water park/kids allowed pool, is also on the property and guests of the hotel can visit during the entirety of their stay for free. I think there's a restriction to the number of people, but we didn't have to worry about it since it was just my husband, me, and our young son. There was a kid's section with slides and shallow water, and there was a large pool for adults and kids, and then there was a "bigger kids"/adults section with much larger slides. All of this surrounded by a lazy river. The water is meant to be warm but it was pretty cold the first two days. Maybe the heater wasn't working but it was much better for the remaining days. There's a small restaurant that serves all kinds of food (they also have a kid's menu). There's also an ice cream shop, arcade, and a gift shop. It tends to get pretty crowded, particularly on the weekends. They accommodated us with a crib for our son at no additional charge, which was really nice. Now, the things that knocked off stars for us. It just doesn't feel like a 5 star resort. Things seem outdated. Their key card system was down and we were stuck in the garage for 20 minutes waiting in line to be let out (this issue was eventually somewhat fixed). The parking cost $45 for self parking PER DAY ($32 if you're just visiting Tidal Cove) and it was $55 for valet. I understand it's a high end hotel, but parking should never cost that much, ESPECIALLY for hotel guests. There really isn't much else to do if you're there for vacation if you're not going to Tidal Cove. Two restaurants, water park, and that was it. (Not including the Golf Course). I don't know, I guess I just expected more. The hotel isn't located near anything exciting. The mall is walkable distance, as well as the grocery store, drug store, and a park, but if you're looking to vacation somewhere where you can walk out and get excitement, this is not the place. I don't think i'd come back. I'd probably try somewhere close to South Beach next time.

Unfortunately, this experience did the opposite and actually tarnished that expectation. Out of the four different places I've stayed at in the Miami / Sunny Isles area over the past four years (always visiting in April for my birthday), this property ranks last. Let me start with the one bright spot: Avas from guest services was absolutely wonderful -- attentive, kind, and truly the only part of this stay that felt aligned with what you'd expect from a higher-end property. Everything else was, frankly, underwhelming. The elevators are extremely slow and almost always packed, making even simple trips up and down frustrating and time-consuming. One of the most disappointing policies was not being allowed to bring breakfast (which was included in my paid package) to the pool area. Coming from New York, where I'm indoors most of the time, I specifically come to Florida to enjoy being outside. Being restricted like that felt unnecessary and honestly a bit childish. Service was inconsistent. Calling the front desk often meant no answer, and when someone did pick up, I was told things would be handled "right away" -- yet it would take hours, if anything was done at all. The layout of the property is also incredibly inconvenient. The pool and beach are not on the same level, requiring stairs and making the flow between areas frustrating. Everything feels far from everything else, which takes away from the relaxation you're supposed to feel on vacation. For a place that promotes a signature piña colada, it was surprising (and disappointing) that they were out of coconuts. There was also a clear lack of communication among staff. I received conflicting information multiple times and often had to figure things out myself -- whether it was locating services like jet skis or even getting clarity from the salon downstairs. Beachside service was another major issue. Food that was ordered took about an hour and a half to arrive, and it was clear there were very few waiters on staff. The team that is there is working tirelessly and doing their best, but they're clearly understaffed -- and unfortunately end up on the receiving end of frustrated guests when they don't deserve it. This is a management issue, not a staff issue. And lastly, the towel situation was excessive. There seemed to be constant monitoring and pushback -- you can't take towels upstairs, can't bring them to the bathroom, and are repeatedly stopped and asked to return them before even leaving the pool or beach area. It felt unnecessarily restrictive for a supposed luxury experience. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. With a name like this, you expect a seamless, elevated experience -- not constant inconvenience, miscommunication, and limitations.
