I am writing to share my recent experience, and I strongly advise you not to trust this dealership or anything they promise. For the most part, it is all lies. The only person who was honest and helpful was the sales manager. Everyone else promised me the world to get me to buy, but completely left me stranded once I signed the contract. Even the full-time leading salesman, Roy, screwed me over. Supposedly, he left right after I bought my car and no longer works there. The customer service here is horrible. I had my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 towed to Texas Dodge in Amarillo while I was traveling. At the time, I had just received active-duty military orders and was being stationed in Twentynine Palms, California. I was under pressure to get to my new duty station, so I had to rely on the dealership's diagnosis. I paid over $3,200 for diagnostic work, a TIPM replacement, and a fuel pump replacement. My service advisor was Arthur, and after all of that I was told my truck had compression loss on the first three cylinders and needed a complete engine replacement, which would have cost me tens of thousands of dollars. [Untitled].pdf I wasn't convinced, so I had the truck towed back to Texas to a reputable diesel repair shop for a second opinion. They found multiple issues that had not been resolved, including a faulty ECM, injector wiring problems, a damaged fuel pump connector, and improperly torqued injector feed tubes. They repaired those issues, documented that compression was relatively even across all six cylinders, and got my truck running again. Unknown.pdf After getting my truck back, I returned to Texas Dodge and spoke with the general manager to see if there was anything they could do to help with the towing expense I incurred because of their diagnosis. I explained that I was active-duty military and had been trying to get to my duty station. Unfortunately, I left feeling like my concerns didn't matter. There was no offer to help, no accountability, and no willingness to work with me. For anyone reading this, the sequence of events simply doesn't add up to me. I paid over $3,200, was told I needed a complete engine because of alleged compression loss, and then another diesel repair shop found repairable electrical and fuel system issues, documented relatively even compression, and got my truck running. Those are two completely different conclusions, and I still haven't received an explanation that makes sense. From my perspective, being told I needed a new engine under those circumstances raises serious questions. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what disappointed me most was how everything was handled afterward. Between the repair costs, the towing expense, and the lack of customer service, this was one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever had. Recently, a youth in our family purchased a vehicle from Texas Chrysler Jeep Dodge. The salesman was Jimmy Flores and his manager is Joseph Chavez. When we first began discussions, we felt as though we were being pressed to go with one of their finance companies, despite the fact that we had a pending decision for financing from a local credit union for which we were to receive a final decision the next day. In our view, Jimmy was very keen on us going forward with the purchase prior to the decision from the credit union. The interest rate with their finance company was over 13%, because of the youth's limited credit, despite their very good credit score (over 730). And, as I understand, if the customer accepts financing from one of their finance companies, the dealership gets a kick-back, which is perfectly legal, but knowing that we had another finance potential option that would save the youth thousands of dollars in interest, should have been the focus . The finance rate ended up being just over 5% with the credit union. Despite this fact, overall, we thought we had a good experience and that it was a good purchase. This past Thursday, we had a pretty heavy rainstorm that left behind some notable residual water collection, such as in gutters, which also affected many entrances to many local businesses. I stopped to pick up my mother for a doctor's appointment to get a coffee at a local convenience store, and when I left, I drove through one of those water collection areas. When I did, I heard an odd noise from the front end of the vehicle. When I inspected further, I noticed that the piece of trim on the front of the vehicle, on the underside that covers the front of the engine compartment and is also there for aesthetic purposes, had only two bolts attaching it, which resulted in the piece of trim hanging down almost to the ground on the right and left sides. I ended up securing the piece of trim later, but there is more to come. Looking over the vehicle further this weekend, I also noticed that the wheel well covers that prevent water from entering the engine compartment, etc. were missing on all four wheel wells, which is very concerning because, on the drivers' side front wheel well, that is on the front side of the tire, there is a wire harness that had obviously been being saturated with water. And, I have yet to inspect what other issues may be of concern. Aside from these factors, about a month following us taking delivery of the vehicle, we noticed that the oil change sticker indicated that the vehicle was about 7K miles past the 3K mile oil change. Now, I realize that dealerships are in business to make a profit and that used cars are typically sold "as is." However, a few points: - In this case, I was bringing in a youth who was purchasing their first vehicle. Furthermore, the youth is a college student who also works, and is very focused on being a good steward (as I discussed with Jimmy) of their finances, wanting to make sound financial decisions. - I called Jimmy to inform him regarding the missing wheel well covers, which are not wear and tear parts of the vehicle, or some aesthetic issue, such as dents, scratches, missing floor mats (which were missing as well) but are an essential component of the vehicle that can prevent a potential major problem mechanical and/or electrical issues. His manager refused to correct the issue. Prior to the sale, the dealership touts a thorough inspection of the used vehicles that they intend to place on the lot for purchase. And, many times, dealerships will even go to the extent of taking a loss and not attempt to sell a vehicle if they identify any major issues with the vehicle. During the inspection process, the missing wheel well covers should have been identified and replaced, especially considering that the cost of the wheel well covers, despite their critical importance, is relatively inexpensive to repair. - I also called Jimmy and mentioned the oil change situation. He stated to me on the call that they usually do change the oil if it is needed during the vehicle inspection process. However, his manager denied the request for the single oil change because it was a month or so after the purchase. I do not see the relevance of this rejection because it is their standard procedure to change the oil when they inspect the vehicle before the sale. Also, covering the very minimal cost of an oil change would have fostered goodwill and good service after the sale. All I was asking for was for them to follow their own procedure, although it was after the sale. Look, I understand that we have to do our due diligence before making a purchase. However, the dealership, including its service department, not following its procedures, is just not good business. Previously been bringing my car here for oil changes and brakes. This time it was a horrible experience. No communication and had car for a week. Dealer refused to work on the car suspension saying they don't have a fiat certified technician. Only letting me know after letting the car sit for a week after I had approved an initial repair quote. The oil change they did do was just as bad. Went from $85 pre-coupon to $83 after a $15 Mopar coupon was presented. They literally inflated the cost of the oil change after being presented a coupon. buyer beware buyer beware! True statement. I'm very disappointed in their service department. I took my 2023 Dodge ram longhorn in on December 20 because it was throwing a code. They did an analysis of it and told me it was under warranty and I said an appointment. I was told it would only take a day to fix. I had to cancel the first appointment because of work. I scheduled another appointment a month later on January 20, 2025. It took them four days to diagnose it the second time. I was told they were busy and understaffed several times. They did not return my phone calls whatsoever, even after promising me, they would call me back. In the last eight years, I have spent over $250,000 on vehicles between myself my wife and my family. That stops today. No more repeat customer from me. I will no longer recommend them to any of my many friends, or family! They would not give me a rental, and they are keeping the truck for over two weeks. Please note, they did offer me a one-day rental, but that does me or my family no good. This place is the absolute WORST. "Express" oil changes routinely take 2-3 hours. Do NOT get any of their "service contracts". Want a refund on the contract?? They want to give you the run-around, and make you call toll-free numbers, etc. Attempts to charge WAY "extra" on fuel filters, shady sales managers, you name it. Left oil ALL OVER the front suspension. Oil now dripping on my driveway off of my front end components. Dodge really needs to take a hard look at this dealership. I had to travel to Amarillo, Texas to get it. I live in Northern Colorado. I drove down with a friend to pick it up. So, after an awful experience haggling a deal that was already worked out (4 hours I'll never get back), AND my original vehicle being sold out from under me (after putting a $1k deposit down on THAT VIN).... (Victor Gallegos stinks too) I hop on the road for the 8 hour journey back. I have to stop in Limon, Colorado for fuel. After I fuel up, the Jeep won't start. It's midnight. In Limon, Colorado. With a blizzard on the way! The battery works, but the Jeep won't start. I call the 24hr roadside assistance and that costs me $221 dollars out of pocket. Have to get a room in Limon, Colorado. That's $80 believe it or not. I get in touch with Texas Dodge to get someone helping me sort this out. They're not helping me. I'm told to "keep my receipts", because MAYBE the 5yr 60k mile warranty and roadside will cover my expenses. I ask Texas Dodge to contact the Transwest dealership in Limon, Colorado. I need to get home! I'm supposed to be at work soon. I need to feed my cat. My friend needs to get to work. We're exhausted. My wife and mother-in-law are taking a trip together this weekend and after 7 hours of driving a warning light came on in the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Diesel that's not even 3 months old. They were unable to drive over 55-65 mph but they eventually made it to the nearest major city that had a Jeep dealership. After looking at the reviews on Google, they decided to go to this Texas Dodge Jeep dealership because of the raving reviews but they found out very quickly that the reviews were far from accurate. My wife called me shortly after the encounter that took over 60 mins and told me all about their experience and how the agent, Derrick Roberts, was not attentive at all. They explained that the DEF refill light came on and needed the fluids to be refilled. Derrick proceeded to make the statement "It's Friday, we're not going to be able to doing anything for you today." It was 3pm and they close at 6! I find it hard to believe that you can't get one of your mechanics to listen to them to find out what happened and do a diagnostics tests to see what's wrong. Long story short, after my wife told me about their experience at this location I feel like Derrick was trying to take advantage of them because he saw 2 women and thought maybe he could talk them into leaving the Jeep there for 4 days without properly explaining why they would need to leave it there that long in the first place. Especially after saying the fluids would be filled completely for a $30 charge and the mechanic reset the codes TWICE saying there was an issue (check engine light, fluid light, and warning light) and couldn't find anything else wrong. Even after taking the Jeep for a 13 mile drive on the highway. And, the DEF fluid was refilled at 10 gallons for $30 and that was barely halfway. After Mr. Derrick couldn't explain what was happening due to his lack of car "education and training" he became argumentative and ignorant. At this point, my mother-in-law requested that they check and recheck warranty to see that fluids ARE covered under warranty and reset all of the warnings light. However, Mr. Derrick proceeded to continue arguing with them. Overall, I am unhappy with what they had to deal with and hope no one else has to put up with service like this. So, my experience was much different than most. I reside in Las Vegas and the DFW area both. After buying my Ram Truck in Denton, TX. My wife and I decided to drive the truck to our home in Vegas. When we got to Amarillo, we had some very unique issues that are not common and understood that these items needed attention at that time. We did not have a lot of time to stay in Amarillo while the truck was getting assessed and fixed. The sales rep Ulysses and the service guy Richard Luna have been a blessing to my wife and family. Even though I didn't buy from this particular dealership, the staff treated us soooooo well, we were moved at their kindness. Every employee offered to help us somehow. There were multiple people who were just outstanding. I have never seen a dealership which has amazing leadership and kindness when it's truly needed and appreciated. People, please if you are looking to buy or service your vehicle, make the right decision by giving these amazing young men and women an opportunity to earn and impress you from the start. I also want to tell those there in the leadership roles one thing. You are doing something right. Hard working Americans deserve to be treated correctly and without a quid-pro-quo mentality. The Jeep Grand Cherokee broke down in Santa Rosa, NM. Ortegas had a mechanic on a Sunday take a look. It was a cracked radiator. No parts, so we limped it to Amarillo. We were in line on Monday morning at Texas Dodge Jeep. They were very busy that morning but they got the diagnostic done. Alexis kept in touch by text or phone. The part arrived on Tuesday. We stayed at a hotel within walking distance but Jennifer gave us courtesy ride for food and the post office to take care of items we needed while broke down. Marshall got the radiator in and found the thermostat housing cracked so it was replaced. A recall on a sensor was found and updated. Luckily the vehicle had a warranty so we paid for the deductible and one cleaning item. On Wednesday, we were on our way home to the East. We had to be patient, we had to reschedule reservations, appointments, etc. This dealership's service department got us through a stressful situation with their customer service. Because this is the only way that anyone will respond to me from the dealership, I would please like JOE to return my phone calls since I was told to contact HIM. The dealership has my contact info. I expect a phone call ASAP!** I picked my car up after needing to get the engine replaced only to find that my car had been left unlocked and thousands of dollars of my belongings were stolen. Because I was traveling for the holidays I was unable to fit everything in the car that picked me up to return home to Dallas. When I asked if my belongings would be okay if I left them in, I was told that they would. I understand that you cannot guarantee that items would not be stolen, but I also never signed anything stating that the dealership has no liability if they did get stolen once its in their possession. Seeing as I got to the dealership after the service department was closed, the only "manager" that was able to help me was Renne. The word "manager" is a far stretch for him seeing as he managed the situation very poorly. Unfortunately, the best that he could do for me was hand me a piece of paper and a sharpie and tell me to "make him a list" of what was stolen and shoo me away as if I was an inconvenience to him and his sales goal for the day. He didn't even take 2 minutes to show some sympathy and compassion. I received more sympathy from one of your sales guys - maybe he should be your next manager. The lack of care that I experienced for my situation was just laughable. I can't imagine if the roles were reversed and if I was buying a car, how nicely I would have been treated. And, to add the cherry on top to this great experience - my check engine light already came on. Had taken our '08 Jeep GC Overland in for the THIRD time because of a "SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE" message. Jeep would not shift into 4-low. When picking it up I was shocked to see a huge u-shaped crack in the windshield reaching almost completely across the windshield!! I asked Andrew about it and they told me that they thought it cracked because of a chip that may have shady been there!! The ONLY chip in the crack line is TINY and NOT even starred. There are other starred chips in the windshield that have been there for a long time that have never cracked!! Nevertheless they contend this was not their fault even though it happened while they had it. It seems completely reasonable to EXPECT your vehicle to be returned in the same condition as dropped off!! They should have the honesty and integrity to admit that one of their employees cracked the windshield. Can't believe they think it's ok to return a damaged vehicle to a customer. Just know if your vehicle gets damaged while in their care it's on you. I will drive to another city for my Jeep service from now on. I will add that Andrew seemed to care and try to treat me fairly. Update 12/18/2020: Jason Ward from service contacted me today and got my car in immediately with service. Went for a drive with the tech who then took my car to the back and fixed the problem. Review: Horrible customer service Update: Finally got a call today 12-11-2020 from Jackie and he said he was going to transfer it to the GM but haven't received a call or contact since. My 2020 Jeep Cherokee Altitude was put into service on 10-15-2020 without even having my car for barely over 3 months! Come to find out my PTU needed to be replaced. They were good for the 1st maybe 2 weeks when the car got put in the shop then the guy left Texas Dodge and everything went to crap. They treat you nice while your up there but then turn around and sell you a lemon that they cant properly fix! I have no even had this car for a year and it has spent most of its life in A SHOP! They do not care about there customers at all they are just in it for the money I feel. Took my car in for repair. Not only did they not make the repair, they put a dent in the side. Then they told me to contact my own insurance company for repair. After talking with the general manager, who said they would take care of this, I took my car back in. Over the next few months, I tried to get updates, but either no one answered the phone or whoever answered said they would have someone call me back, which never happened. One time, when I came in person, I was told my car was at the body shop & I should check with them. I called the body shop who informed me that they did an estimate but Texas Dodge declined it. That is the body shop that Texas Dodge is contracted with. Where was my car?! I finally got through to the service department a week or so after that and was told my car would be ready no later than the following Wednesday. When, again, I was unable to get through to anyone, I came in and said I was there to pick up my car. They told me the tech had just finished it. My service advisor was off that day so they said my invoice would be emailed to me when he was back. The dent was repaired, but the problem i originally had was not. Two days later, I received the emailed invoice, which showed all kinds of repairs that were done, which were probably made up in order to receive money from the warranty to cover the body work expense. My car was at Texas Dodge from January 23rd until April 10th, in addition to the 2 weeks it was in for the original repair! I was without my car for a total of 13 weeks & my car still needs to be repaired! I will certainly not be going back to Texas Dodge! read more

I was in last week to get regular oil change. My warranty calls for items to be addressed was told to make an appointment which I did for the next week. I arrived on time. The service advisor Jeremy was obviously busy. I showed him the appt on his calendar. I advised him I wanted the checks per factory recommendations and the flash updates. He proceeded to complain openly that the flashes were free and I had 37. He then asked two others if they were warranty repairs. I obviously was wasting his time. I asked for the brake fluid to be replaced as recommended. Drop off at 10 30 called at 3 30. Flashes done. Nothing reviewed w me. No brake fluid Change. I get being busy, I get probably others w large repairs priority but wtf Texas Dodge, it's all about the relationship w me. read more

We were working in Nashville at a motorcycle rally and traveling back home to Prescott, Az when a "Perform service" warning came on for our 08 Dodge Ram Diesel truck. Forums indicated that this need to be done relatively soon and since we were towing a heavy cargo trailer we decided to overnight a block away from Texas Dodge on the I40. We were there right after the service dept opened...no other customers in sight. I explained that we were traveling through and about the warning that we were getting etc and I let them know I was not only a military Veteran but a retired police officer. I was told they wouldn't help us because this warning meant that it needed a diagnosis and that they couldnt run a test for 4 days because of the wait. (Yet no customers to be seen). So, shocked at this we left and made it to Larry Miller Dodge in Albuquerque and stopped at their service dept. which was literally packed with people, cars and trucks everywhere....this place was humming. The service writer listened to our problem, understood that we were traveling and immediately recognized the problem...it was a standard 68K mile, 3.5 hr service that did need to be done ECG cleaning etc...and he jammed us right into his crazy service shop schedule and we were in our way 4 hours later. I've traveled the country by truck, car and motorcycle and have had mechanical problems but have never been turned away like this....it's hard to believe Texas Dodge wouldn't even know what the warning msg meant and it's hard to believe Texas folks would turn us away like that. Do you really want to purchase a vehicle from a place with so many bad reviews? A young family member did, got a vehicle in very poor condition for a very high price, and suffered the consequences of a very unresponsive service department. Think hard before you go in there. read more

Texas Dodge sold my 80 year old father that is on a fixed income a $46,700 Jeep Rubicon at 6.7 percent interest for 7 years and with a $4000 dollar warranty on top of the factory warranty. This was a complete rip off. We went in less than 24 hour and explained the situation. The GM, Joe, said that they did nothing unethical. Don't do business with Tx. Dodge. It is a very unethical business. They took complete advantage of my elderly dad. read more

just purchased a 2016 Malibu, i messed up and let the buying a new car experience get the best of me. Found the exact car my wife wanted and had to have it. Drove the car from a different car lot(test drive!!!) and didn't notice any unusual sounds or notice any major issues. Got screwed on the deal of course because car sales people for the most part depend on sales for income, so the more you pay the bigger paycheck they receive. so after the excitement of get the car, on the drive home I noticed a knocking noise in the rear of car. If your reading this review you have read the others, their all bad right. Service department , sales department, management department all a let down on resolving an issue for the customer. I was told at one point in the beginning of this whole ordeal that, technically they didn't have to do anything for me but that there good people so they want to help. Short term memory is real guys because that helpful sales man and management forgot about my car deal and moved on to the next SUCKER . I could keep going on and on......... but I don't want you to lose focus of what I'm about to tell you. DO NOT SIGN ANY THING before your complete satisfied and had a chance to inspect the car properly because once you've signed that contract, the liability is out of there hands and now your problem. They will spit shine a car and tell you it the best they have. If you run into this problem yes let them know your very disappointed, but don't stop there, notify the bank you got financed through and let them know of your bad experience and they could possibly stop doing business with this dealership. Let's stop getting screwed dealing with these types of businesses and put an end to it. Report your bad experience to your bank and on reviews and any where else you can advertise. read more

Eyes wide open when you enter this dealership... my experience left me and my family with a bitter taste! Making a buck is definitely their top priority, no matter what they claim. My situation was ONLY made right, due to the fact that we had to go to Auto Inc (higher up). These people sold my father in law, who is disabled and on a fixed income, a 2010 Dodge Cummins Diesel. It lasted maybe a couple weeks, now we find out that it has an oil leak in the timing gear cover. They tell him that it's $1400 to fix, it was just bought and they should have found this prior to sales, or at least should fix it at a discounted price without throwing a new customer under the bus. Worse yet, they're jumping all over my father in law to sell him a new truck instead of fixing their mistake. They're claiming they'll just take the damaged truck and put him into this "new" (2014) one for the same price. Worse yet, they're lying all over the place about how this new truck was used. They claim it's not a contractor's truck-- yet there are marks, paint, and a towing package that makes it obvious otherwise. Update (10/27): they now are trying to charge my father in law to get rid of the overwhelming cigarette smoke smell that came in the truck, that they promised to get rid of. To make this even better, my in laws check to see if there is a filter for this truck...there isn't. Just more evidence of their horrible business practice. These people are shady and only worried about making money off of you. Beware doing any business with them. read more

So I purchased a used car from these guys, no complaints on that. However, I went to get an oil change at one location and since my car was so new still, I had to go to dealer to get oil change. So I get oil done, and of course they scam me for an air filter , par for the course for most oil changes , except I just bought the car May of 2013 and now Feb 2014 I have to have a new air filter,, these clowns should have replaced it new when it was traded in the first time...anyway, you would think after spending 29 grand on a vehicle and then another C note for oil change and air filter that these clowns would at least vacuum the floorboards and clean the windows,.. but oh hell no, next time im going to jiffy lube or somewhere where the folks at least act like they care about you. they brag how good they are on commercials, then, typical dealership , nothing special, no sense buying or servicing from these lazy people unless your stuck like chuck read more

Went today to this dealership and met a salesman. After explaining financing to me, I restated that I am only looking. He then passed me off to another salesman. After I told him we are only looking, he also passed me off to yet another salesman. By then, I was pretty frustrated with this sales staff. Yes, I was only looking today to see what I want to buy next. But not one would tell me the prices or unlock a car for me to look inside. What if I found something I wanted? And decided to buy tomorrow or Saturday? Not now. Not this dealership. Very disappointed. read more

The worse service center ever. Absolutely disgusting trying to get anything done with them. The manager Darren does not know anything what goes on or how to resolve a problem. We sat there for an hour waiting to get feed back and nothing we are now driving to get our own rental our truck has been there since yesterday morning and has not even been looked at so this now requires us to pay more everyday for a rental because they just don't care. Lorenzo the origin gentlemen we spoke to could not give two dots about us or how to accommodate us as customers.
