Checked out this place while In town for work. Great food great service and decent price. I had the parmesan crusted top sirloin. Best steak I have had in a long time. Check this place out, it will not disappoint read more

I'd give it a -10 the food was awful their service was worse you pay almost 3 dollars for a small glass of iced tea and nobody refills! I would strongly advise not go to this place ever. It's overpriced for what you get read more

This is probably the best steak I've had in a decade. Super tender cut with great seasoning. Grilled mushrooms were perfect. When you're full and just can't stop eating, you know it's good. Diablo shrimp are very tasty. Waitress was great. Highly recommended this restaurant. read more

Food is awesome! I've never had a bad meal here. The service however sucks! No matter what server I've had it's always been terrible. They never bring the basic stuff and we have to keep asking for bread. They always say "it's in the oven" or "another server grabs it before me". I don't know why anyone else grabs it before them, our table is usually the only one in there, maybe one or two more. I've only ever eaten here on Sunday after church and you'd think they'd be more prepared for the Sunday crowd. read more

Amazing is the best way to describe Texas border grill! Friendly staff and amazing food! We were evacuating patients from the hurricane to Macon, we have been working for roughly 30 hours straight at this point tired, hungry and just burned from evacuating local hospitals and intensive care units. The server was amazing she was so friendly and upbeat she recognized our uniform and told her manger who came over and thanked us for all we do which we really appreciate, then they went even farther with kindness and took care of us for dinner. We are so grateful! The burgers are amazing FYI! read more

Texas Border Grill - Well worth your money! Awesome family Owend business - Tex-Mex Near Me - Macon, Georgia

We have been eating here for years. It has always been one of our favorite places to go, for certain entrees, just like other restaurants. But going there this past week for lunch we were disappointed. Prices have gone up to a ridiculous amount. If you don't make a six figure salary you probably can't afford their steaks now. Then when you order something and they don't have all the items that go on it. Please come back with a "Lunch Menu" similar to what you had years ago. Don't bring your delicious little rolls to the table when they are cold and hard. The price of Iced Tea ... come on now. Do you wonder why so many people get water?? Hey, we still love ya'll but can't you do a little better? We don't want to stop coming there. read more

Thank you for excellent food service and your awesome customer service. The steak was cooked to perfection, I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

Much left to be desired, go eat at Waffle House and you will get a better experience. Over priced average food (being nice). All servers and hostess look like they couldn't care less except for Kali. Look elsewhere unless you are starving on an island, and then re consider. read more

Went in this restaurant wasn't busy at all we had too walk on the other side of the restaurant to get seated and the table wasn't clean...we order our food..when we received our food my baked potato was cold as ice and the bread they brought to the table was hard as a brick!! So, I asked for a manager he said I am the I told him about the problems he stated " if you wanted a hot potato you should've said something " really!!!! I will never eat or recommend this place to anyone ...horrible service and they need to goto Customer service school.... read more

The BEST steak in Macon or Warner Robins Ga The steaks are aged and hand cut. AWESOME!!! I have ate here about 8 times and the food is always awesome. The lunch special are great. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I have ate at the best steak houses in ATL and Miami and this place is as good as any of them. read more

Excellent Service and food! Don't miss out on this jewel! All of our food was Awesome! Melt in your mouth Ribeye. Their seasoning is great! Our waitress Lily was excellent from the time we were seated until the end of our meal! We definitely will be back! read more

Restaurant is good! Get a free meal when you dine in on your birthday. Must be the actual day.

We came here for my birthday, and was disappointed. The steak I ordered was actually swimming in its own grease. I understand that there are juices involved with a steak, but the least they could have done was transfer it to a new plate. It wasn't that tasty, again, was kind of greasy. I don't think I'll ever go back. read more

If there is a crowd you can forget about getting a well cooked steak. I ordered their brewmaster cut medium rare, it came out extremely well done. It was sent back for another which came back so rare that the meat was cold. Not cool. COLD! I sent it.back a third time where they just microwaved it to a complete and total waste. In the end I payed too much for an overpriced cut of beef that ended up being dog treats later that night. Next time ... No there isn't going to be a next time. The only reason I am giving a single star is that one of the people in my took a handful of the mints at the door and she loves them. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed the Bacon Wrapped filet. One of the five best steaks in my life, cooked perfectly for me, medium rare. Two of our party opted for rib eyes, which they age 90 days. Looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the area. read more

I have eaten here several times over the past year and I think they are consistently very good. I recommend the bacon wrapped Scallops, the Surf and Turf or for the best value, try the Beef Tenderloin Kabobs. My steak is always cooked to order. read more

Very good service! Bacon wrapped scallops highly recommended! Cold beer...tasty steaks.

You know how fish tacos are different every place you eat them? I had them last night at Texas Border Grill and they were the best I've ever had! They have a unique sauce that I think is an adobo flavor. My husband had fish also, So good! We had excellent, very friendly service by our server who told us she was new. I highly recommend this restaurant...our experience couldn't have been better! read more

Can i just say the food, service and experience is awesome. Got the surf and turf. Yum!

Private luncheon, back room reserved, and the wait staff was loud, and interrupted the speakers. My salad was white ice berg NASTY lettuce, and the food overall was just BAD. I Realize this is not fine dining, but it was just gross. I won't be back, and they should really train their staff a little better if they want to raise their image. read more

We have had our Fantasy football draft here for the last 3 years and they have really taken care of us. The beer is cold and the food is outstanding! The fried mushrooms are incredible. The staff makes you feel at home. read more

This is one of the best steak houses in Macon. Ate there tonight and was very good. I have always had good service there not like some of the others reviewers have mentioned. read more

We ordered appetizers tonight super nachos , fried mushrooms , and chicken quesadillas. This was the worst I've ever had. Why cant this place cook? I will not be back ever the fries and quesadillas were soggy the super nachos did not have any chili on them at all I mean this was terrible I would rather have taco hell nachos. How does this place stay open? I wished I would have went to Kroger and got hot dogs instead! I will not ever go back in there again! read more

We set out to go to the Whistle Stop Cafe but it was gone and this was in it's place. Our party got the Rio Ribs and the Prime Rib. Ribs were a fall off the bone 10. Prime rib was passable. Bread was hot and good. Service was ok. Water was cold :) read more

Ate there on my birthday and not only was the ribeye cooked perfect and as ordered... But they give you a 14.99 credit on your meal!

Inconsistent food quality and grossly overpriced kinda of like Forrest Gump you never know what you will get. We had a fillet and hamburger steak with small appetizer the other night almost 50 bucks not worth it for mediocre food . Always hate to order a potato because it is just as likely to be cold and old as hot and fresh. Bottom line is, I will eat there on rare occasion when I don't feel like driving far, but it's always hit and miss. read more

They stopped over salting their beef!! I had stopped going here because the meat was VERY salty. We were driving past the place and decided to try it again. I was very impressed with several improvements. Now if they would just replace the menu. Even the waitresses can't find anything on it. 11/29/2016 They finally got a new menu layout. I still eat here every other month and it's a 20 minute drive for me past two other steak houses. read more

This is the only sit down steak house in the Hartley Bridge/Houston Rd sub-south area and probably the best restaurant in the area. The food is good, love their steaks, bacon wrapped scallops, and shrimp and grits! Friendly severs, and wait staff is prompt. If you go on your birthday they discount your meal. Appetizers are good, and they have good kids meals too. My 11 and 5 year both like to eat there. They have a large private room for parties that you can book, which would accommodate at least 20 people. Overall, a great little restaurant tucked away in south Bibb Co. On par with the larger commercial chains. read more

Decided to try it tonight for the first time, based on other's recommendations, for my hubby's birthday. Took the server almost 15 minutes to come take our order and offer drinks, and it was 25+ minutes after we ordered before we got our food. It wasn't like they were super busy. 4 empty booths around us. Food brought out by someone else, not server. Food flavor was pretty good, but meal was not hot. All 3 were meals were not hot. Not just one. Almost tasted like it was prepared and had sat for a while before coming to our table, but didn't want to send it back because we had waited so long as it was. Server didn't even come back to the table to offer drink refills until we were done (first offer the whole night) and by then someone else had removed our plates. We did watch the server chat with what appeared to be friends of hers at another table several times without checking on us. DEFINITELY NOT worth the money we wasted. We won't be back. Worst birthday dinner we have had in years. read more

Worst steak I have had in a long time. No seasoning and texture was like a frozen steak thawed and cooked. Fries were soggy. Berry cheesecake was good. Service was good. Go to any other steakhouse, but avoid this place. read more

My filet was good but very expensive. Servers were did a good job but were inexperienced. It was a slow time when we ate there and they put us in the same area as a group drinking pitchers of beer being loud and offensive. I pointed this out to the manager on the way out that perhaps he could have set these folks in the bar area and it was obvious he was unconcerned. Obviously not very family oriented. Restaurant is overpriced. read more

Took forever to get my steak & it was over cooked, the bread was more like a brick. 3 of us didnt get our side items until after we had finished eating our steaks even after asking a couple times and they serve canned mushrooms. The dining room was extremely hot and it was actually cooler outside than it was inside. It was not a good dining experience. read more

Great place to eat n greet new ppl I very highly recommend it. Food is awesome. :) :) :)

This place has the best steak! There is a spicy shrimp appetizer that is excellent and the fried mushrooms are very good too. Great service.

Waitress was a bit rude. She was a bit busy in her section, but this isn't an industry you can let your emotions come out to the point you're wadding up incorrect tickets and throwing them back on the table. Aside from that, we only had one piece of chicken come out almost totally uncooked (Grilled Chicken Salad). It appeared to have been placed on the grill for about 30 seconds per side and slapped on the salad. Hey, TCC, chicken isn't really a food you want to have floating around raw on people's plates. Altogether, we thought the prices were a bit high, especially if they can't stop a waitress from losing her cool and ruining the experience. (We were actually entertaining out of town business people from Alabama!) Management was concerned and very nice about the situation though and made things as right as they could. Thank you for that, at least. read more

Is there a 0 star rating? If there was I would use it. Poor and slow service, and less than adequate food. I've come here a few times before (my birthday and another occasion) and both times were decent. My most recent visit, however, was horrendous. The steak was barely cooked right, the mashed potatoes tasted like they dumped an entire bottle of vinegar in them, and the drink (coke) tasted horrible. How can you make a drink taste bad!? The only part of my meal that tasted any good was the vegetables. I will never come back. read more

Love Love Love, EVERY time we come to town, it's a MUST HAVE. Love the wings and the best steak salad I have found. Service is always on point, friendly, quick and courteous. For you North Macon folks, it is worth the drive. It is still the Texas Cattle Company with a great upgrade. read more

knew it was going down hill when the yeast rolls came out white, not brown and doughy.the waitress said that's the way yeast rolls look.maybe someone needs to teach them what a real yeast roll looks like..brown.glass of wine was good.salad really lacking.and then the filet cooked medium rare..cooked well done, hard crust, dried out.well done bleeds you guys.cold potatotes, twice smashed and the cheese wasn't melted so cold. $67 for two and I took both steaks home to feed my Beatle. don't waste your time or money.no wonder they had six waitresses a.d no customers. read more

We have been eating at this place for 5 years. In January 2018 we took company there and had very poor service. We went back tonight to give it one more try and it was not good. Seems like they have changed management in the past 6 months and service has gone down the tubes. I agree with Louis, you get batter service at the Waffle House. read more
