BUYER BEWARE OF Texas Boombox - DISHONEST PRICING & POOR WORKMANSHIP **Extremely Disappointing Experience - Stay Away from Texas Boombox!** I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Texas Boombox, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. I was initially quoted **$180** by Charlie to replace my car stereo and install new speakers and an amplifier. I made it clear from the start that my car already had an aftermarket system (subwoofers, headrest TV monitors, amp, and epicenter), so there should have been no surprises. When I arrived at 11 a.m., Charlie greeted me and assured me that they would call once the job was done. However, things quickly took a strange turn when another employee, Saul, aggressively questioned the price and demanded to know who authorized the install. Charlie awkwardly replied that **he (Saul) had authorized** it, and insisted the original quote should be honored. Saul stormed off, visibly upset, and Charlie apologized for the awkwardness, telling me to go home and wait for a call. At **3 p.m.**, I received a call asking for approval to install a **$15 speaker bracket**, which I approved, thinking this would be the only price change. But then, at **5:30 p.m.**, Saul called in a rude tone, telling me my car was "almost ready" and that I needed to hurry because the shop was about to close. When I arrived (at about 5:50 p.m.), I saw they were still working on my car, but the real shock came when I went to pay. The final bill was a staggering **$531** more than double the original quote! Saul dismissed my objections, claiming the original price was too low and refusing to honor it. He then presented me with a different invoice than the one I had been given and charged me for unnecessary items I never approved, including a bypass, new cables, and **10 hours of labor** (even though the shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- you do the math). To top it off, there was also an "extra charge" for an "oversized" radio, which had never been mentioned. I asked WHY I hadn't been called to approve these additional charges, and Saul rudely insisted they were "necessary" and that I had to pay immediately because they were closing. When I requested to see my car before paying, he refused to hand me the keys. After some back and forth, he finally relented, and what I saw was infuriating: - **Cracked panels** - My center clock dash panel and master window switch panel were damaged. - **Non-functional features** - The phone function on the new stereo didn't work, the **reverse camera and headrest monitors** were no longer working, and they left the microphone harness on the floor instead of installing it. - **A filthy interior** - My car was returned to me a mess. Charlie, the person who originally quoted me, was nowhere to be found, and Saul simply dismissed my concerns, claiming that all the employees had gone home. I was left with a **damaged car**, missing functionality, and a **ridiculous bill** for work I didn't approve. I left the shop with the understanding that I would get a call from the owner to try and resolve the issue. The only call I received was from Charlie the next day. He was very embarrassed and apologized profusely when I told him about the damage and non-functioning features and sent him pictures. However, it has now been almost a week, and I'm still waiting for a call from the owner or anyone at the shop to address the situation. Terrible customer service they say things will fit they don't, took my truck to get a speaker box installed it didn't fit or work. 3 days later truck is still not working they can't give me an answer DO NOT let them touch your vehicle. I ask them to refund and put my truck back to stock stereo is NOT working terrible unprofessional installers. Owner won't give you a direct answer! read more

I had a box made It was 400 and then I had an amp and sub installed from this company their work was good I had no complaints about anything. FYI do not take your car to Audio Express I've had two cars taken to them to have amplifiers installed with the same result channels cutting in and out and needing to be rewired and they don't do it themselves because they say they their work is guaranteed but they do not stand behind their work they lie. Had a center channel in third amp installed and now my front right and front left speakers don't work. They're telling me I need a good a stereo audio converter for RCAs and trying to charge me 700 more dollars and they have not fixed the two problems they have created that I've already paid for horrible horrible horrible do not take your car to them they will definitely screw it upand will not fix it. read more

Asked them to install an expensive car stereo with handsfree and back up camera. When I picked up my car the handsfree and back up camera did not work and when I pointed it out, they said must be defective but that they sold the same stereo. They wanted me to pay additional to have their stereo installed. Took it to a rival shop and when they looked at it determined it was not installed properly. Omg. Terrible..if i could give a half a star its still too much!. I DO NOT recommend this place at all!!! Unless u want your car to have unexpected electrical problems and the owner come out and yell at you that your car is old and bang on your doors.when everything worked fine prior. they dont want to take responsibility that they mightve burned out something or just didnt connect properly. But didnt bother to look. This place besides its owner that doesnt let anyone work without interfering would be such a better place. unless u like popping pills i recommend it. I'd give 0 stars if possible. Horrible service. Had windows tinted and payed twice as much for the 3m with lifetime warranty. The first time they put the tint on it took them 7 hours, when I was told 1 hour to remove and 1 hour to apply new tint. After the recommended 10 days for the bubble to go away, I looked at the tint job and found over 30 bubbles on every window. Their was glue every where under the tint. Crappy cuts also. I took the car back after 12 days and they re did the tint. You would think after going back to have it re done they would have got it right. My friend went here and they did tint on his car for a good price. They did a good job on his car but that was a year ago. I went recently with another friend of mine to get tint done. Dropped our cars off around 2 was told it would take an hour and a half. We went to go eat and came back an hour and a half later and the cars never got touched. So we then waited for hours. My car didn't get done till 6pm and my friends car got done at 7pm. When my car got done I noticed they forgot to put a brow on that I paid for and had to go back in and get it fixed. Now a day after getting the tint put on, the back windows tints is coming off completely. I do not recommend this place at all for the tint. read more

Stay away from this shit hole place.. Went in to get a train horn installed and they did a horrible job. First of all, i have to take it somewhere else so they can re-wire it.. Second i had the air tank mounted in my bed of truck, the knuckle head who installed it made holes in my gas tank. Lucky me didn't find out till 3 months later because the dealership found water in my tank so they removed my bed so I confronted the owner and he's saying it was my fault for not reporting it earlier, he never payed back..
