Kudos to this gem of an Audio Shop. Wonderful place/owner to do business with. This is what good, ole-fashioned business should be like. This is terribly missing in today's all too dishonest business environment. This was my first time here, but they've earned my business for years to come. They will do an installation job at a very reasonable price compared to the bigwigs like Cartoys, Bestbuy et al. I came in with an In-Dash DVD receiver, SiriusXM tuner, a backup camera/plate, and a steering wheel interface to be installed. My savings here were approx $250 for everything. The owner's son and manager is incredibly nice and knowledgeable (name is Junior). Though a Mom n Pop shop these guys are truly professionals and all their work and products are guaranteed. I did not buy anything from there mind you. I bought all of my stuff online for the extra savings. Despite that their attention and service was exemplary. But as Junior patiently explained to me buying online is not always a wise move. There are pros and cons about this...and I happened to experience it first-hand. It so happened one of the items was not compatible with my car (interface). No worries...Junior was nice enough to look up in his computerized inventory a similar item that not only fit in nicely but was also cheaper. However I had to pay out of pocket to return the incorrect item plus a "restocking fee". If I had purchased all of the items thru Junior's shop I wouldn't have had the need to worry about these petty things. As he explained to me buying an expensive In-Dash receiver online may appear cost-saving in the beginning, but what about when that unit goes bad in say 6-9 months after installation? Will you go to the online retailer for help who often times operates from a garage or dorm? This is where Texas Audio is fabulous and in many ways unique. Whenever something like this happens to any of his customers Junior will repair the unit for free or replace with an brand new one if still under manufacturer's warranty, but wait....not only that... he will install a temporary unit in your car FREE OF CHARGE! Need I say more? I will definitely be referring these guys to anyone and everyone I can! Thank you guys, thank you Junior! Keep up the good work and the excellent ethics. read more

Let's say: A girl has some speakers that rattle, vibrate and sound like the speakers sitting in the 1975 car at the impound lot. Said girl, jumps on yelp and find a local speaker place with great reviews on yelp. She calls the store on a Saturday and asks if she should come another day. They inform her that today would be fine. She walks into the store knowing nothing about speakers and the sales guy walks her through the Speaker 101. Makes, models, prices, why prices are the way they are etc. She asks all sort of silly questions and she gets them answered. She picks some speakers and no, they weren't pink and decides to go to lunch. Within a couple of hours, she gets a phone call that her beloved Lexus can now play music. She goes back to Texas Audio and picks up her now musically enabled vehicle and rolls off into the sunset with the Lumineers playing loud enough for her neighboring car to hear. I went to this place to get my radar hard wired. When I called they said it would cost $65 and I provide the wire. That was about normal compared to other places I checked. When I went in he offered to do a mount to the rear view instead of the suction cups. I wanted to do that because suction cups are a pain. He said it would be $115 for that and I specifically asked if that included the $65 labor and he said yes. When he went to write me up after it was complete he said it is $200 (after tax). I said I thought the $65 was included and he said it wasn't. So what am I going to do say no take it out of my car? I paid for it but this place is a rip off. He told me 1 price and changed it after they did the labor. Go somewhere else that is true to their word. read more

I was satisfied with my experience and would probably return. Product is available at lower prices than the national chains, but above online retailers. Good selection. Knowledgeable and down-to-earth staff. Negotiate if you want a better deal. They will install items you buy online for much less labor than CarToys, etc. The install quality for a head unit and 6 speakers appeared average. I noticed a couple of tiny dings marking areas where the installer had opened my factory console. It wasn't enough to complain about and the bigger chains would have probably done the same. However, I expected seamless work from a custom shop like this. Work was completed on-time and I was given a demo of the equipment and features afterwards. Mr.Manny and the guys been around for a couple decades ever since I can remember , very clean and organized store as you walk in you have a Hi end lines of Car audio products like JL audio and Kenwood on display. The staff was very courteous and helpful as I made my way around the store with my pocketful of questions they were very helpful and informative. Junior is the type of guy you want to deal with when you're getting your brand new truck upgraded with a kick-ass factory integrated radio. Junior puts a personal touch on every interaction, and after speaking with him I knew I wasn't dealing with your average shop. Texas Audio recommended and installed a factory integrated system into my 2017 RAM 1500, and it sounds great. We still have some tweaking to do, but Junior has made himself available to talk anytime I've picked up the phone. Audio systems aren't one and done things especially when you're installing amps, speakers, and integrating into a factory stereo it takes a little bit of time to get right. Junior and the Texas Audio crew are willing to take their time to help you get it right, and they're doing all for a fair price. These guys are awesome! I spent weeks getting the run around from a 'custom auto shop' trying to get a new radio installed in my 25 year old Jimmy. After multiple dead batteries, wiring problems, and the radio still not working right, I called Junior. One afternoon and they had me set up, all of the weirdness fixed, backup camera installed, and it was all done professionally. Looked clean, no weird hacks, no Super Glue, and it all WORKED. I knew what I wanted for my new truck and Junior made it happen. first I wanted an alarm system with power locks, they got it installed. I have a '66 Impala that I wanted to get some music into and knew that all of the big box stores would not suffice. After some research on classic car forums, Texas Audio's name came up, so I dropped by to see what the store was all about. After some discussion with Jr, the owner, he had laid out 3 different price points with various differences of equipment. We made our choice and part of that was the custom fabrication of two small walls to mount the front speakers from under the dash. It also included the install of a new package tray behind the back seat. When we picked up the car, they showed us all the information and details about the head unit and helped us tweak the settings before leaving. First off, this place is amazing they have everything you need from headunits to speakers etc. Walked in was greeted by Junior, great guy knows everything about audio and was very helpful in helping you chose what you needed.They have everything in stock and he also explained to us that buying it directly from him guarantees that all the parts are their. I bought from him an alpine cde-143bt. He also threw in a free wiring harness too because of the surplus he had. Final price with everything headunit, mounting bracket, and wiring harness was 200. Much cheaper than the estimates I got from cartoys and bestbuy. Install time was phenomenal, he told us that at the longest it would be an hour, he finished it in 30 mins. Quality of the work was amazing. Everything was done cleanly and with high quality. After install he showed us how to use the headunit and showed us the features such as Bluetooth mic and radio. In the end I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality. I am 100% positive that this place is my go to place for anything and everything audio. read more
