This is an INCREDIBLE jewel in the DFW metroplex. The owner/manager Rick is actually onsite and knows what he is doing. He is very personable and understands the industry more than anyone else out of the 5 "professional" shops I went to get quotes from, anyways: 1. These guys got me in on a busy day for any where in Dallas (Sunday) they got me in FAST. 2. Unlike the other installers, they actually gave me options and let me understood EVERYTHING to make a confident purchase. 3. They made a recommendation of a double din apple car play receiver AND built a package that retains ALL factory chimes and functions unlike the other business's that would only retain some. 4. The quality of their work is insane and professionally, they ACTUALLY solder the wires for long reliable service instead of just twisting stuff together and praying. 5. The waiting room has free water and there are plenty of places to eat near there. The waiting room has a 60 inch tv loaded with just about every new/current film. The couches electronically recline. 6. All of their products are on the floor and active for you to interact with. 7. Oh yeah the pricing is gonna blow everyone else out of the water as well. So don't try to beat them, everyone else was trying to overcharge to the point that I didn't even want to do it. This place changed my mind and made it very affordable. Well I've never been excited to leave my car in someone else's care. Last week I nervously left my new car in the hands of Stereo Zone. I had a perfect aftermarket pioneer radio in the car however I wanted to add the new pioneer AVH-4201nex So I can have front and back cameras. The staff was all very knowledgeable , and steered me away from spending money on things I did not need like an amplifier. They easily could've convinced me I needed an amp. However they were completely honest. They did not try to run my bill up. For their customer service alone I give him five stars . Now for the installation, Not only was everything installed professionally. They even took time out of their busy schedule to make a FaceTime call so I could see in person and make an executive decision on an extra HDMI import and location. Not only did they take their time to call me and get my opinion, Stereo Zone went above and beyond to do a FaceTime so we can all be on the exact same page. When any other installer has just told me this is what I did. I noticed after the installation that they even cleaned the inside of my car. It wasn't 100% detailed but it was definitely cleaner than when I dropped it off. There wasn't even a single finger print on the dash. And after the installation it got even better. My new radio obviously had many options and components, other than front and rear view cameras. And the staff came out and explained almost every option on my radio. From how to change cameras. Setting up navigations, phone calls playlists, Remote controls , text messaging, playing Videos, games. The lists goes on. I'm not necessarily a text savvy guy so if this was the most useful my customer service yet. Especially since the last radio purchase I made the installer told me "the manual is in the trunk. I could call Pioneer if I had any questions". With the customer service I've received so far I can't even imagine that comment coming out of Stereo Zone's mouth. Two days later Stereo Zone contacted me just to make sure I was happy with my new radio purchase. And asked if I had any questions. I was totally pleasantly floored when they contacted me. Truly let me know that they care about the customer before during and after installation. If I could give them 99 stars I would. Today I drop off my car again for accent lighting. Something totally fun and frivolous. Not something I would normally do to a car but I have complete faith that auto zones custom light accessories will be a asset to my car. I have been doing business with stereo Zone for a few years now. Today I had to bring my DVD player in my van in because it was malfunctioning. These guys replaced the entire system with a newer, more up-to-date version by the same manufacturer and claimed they gave me a discount on the new system because the first one messed up. They installed the new system (You can never know because they display NO PRICES on ANY of their display items in the store. You have to ask and they quote a price. So you can never know when they are genuinely giving you any kind of break or not) and THEN told me afterwards that I would have to pay for it as the system they removed was older than they thought. I had also had an alarm and back up camera installed on my pickup, so they lumped that together with the replacement dvd system in my van. Honestly, I consider this shady. I would have preferred being given the option of paying for a replacement BEFORE they installed a new system and then just stuck me for the bill. I was under the impression the replacement was on them. Long story short, this disappointed me greatly. I have changed my review and will not be returning for future business. I had been happy with the customer service that I've received here over the last few years that I also brought in a new (older vehicle, but new to me) vehicle I purchased recently for recreational use to have a DVD system, alarm, and backup camera installed. read more

I want to start out by telling you I work for Mercedes at park place and I know how to provide great customer service. It's not just about doing your job, it's about going above and beyond to make the client have a outstanding experience. It's about superseding expectations. I had traded a car and the new one did not come with a remote to lock and unlock the doors and so I had planned on ordering one from the dealer. I just happen to have been on groupon and saw a deal for a remote car starter. Not knowing wether it would solve my problem or not I called them and Rick answered. After talking with him for a few about what the remote starter would do with my vehicle I knew I wanted to have this store do the work. Before I traded my last car I removed the 4 door speakers, 2 amps and the subwoofers but I didn't plan on putting them into the new car yet but after speaking with Rick he gave me the quote to install and 3 hours later I was at his shop. I was going to get uber to take me to work after I dropped off but Rick offered to let me drive the store loaner while the install was being done. I know my work has loaners but a stereo shop? Crazy! The vehicle was done as promised and the work was top quality. I've had 9 different cars that had a full audio/video installations and had buzzing in speakers. Interior damaged, clips broken, rattles, and just poor quality work. Not at stereo zone. There was even unforeseen work that was required and Rick didn't try and ask for more money. He honored the quote. It's a pretty long drive form Plano to Buckner blvd but it's well worth the drive. I got a great price for the work and the quality with was top notch. I will be bringing back my Mercedes-Benz G-Class back to do the same install on it. These guys are great. Don't spend your money anywhere else other than here. 5 stars from me! There was complimentary water, WiFi and Netflix! My husband and i checked our emails and watched 2/3 of a really good movie! The install took exactly 2.5 hours! We checked out, he showed us how to use it and told us we have a one year warranty... Fabulous experiemce! I went to two other car audio locations before I went to Stereo Zone, and this is the only place I went where I knew I wasn't getting hustled. Other places I went, they cared little-nothing about fixing my alarm and other things I wanted, they were only interested in talking to me about a stereo. But at StereoZone, they weren't going to charge me for trouble shooting, they had knowledgeable people and were interested in FIXING MY PROBLEMS. That's why I bought my stereo there. Stereo Zone did a great job with the installation, were extremely courteous, and most importantly -- they gave me a fair price. Gabe (Manager at Stereo Zone) showed what options I have for what I was looking for. I was looking for a clear crisp sound that I've been missing all these years. He demonstrated what different components do and I found exactly what I was looking for. I had things to do so I didn't want to wait. The owner offered to take me home and I enjoyed his life story during the ride (he was an immigrant and had nothing but dreams when he came to this country). I had a tint job done at Stereo Zone. Initially, I found some flaws in a few of the films on my windows. Those were reapplied immediately, but after getting home and performing a more thorough inspection, I noticed a few more flaws that had occurred during the installation process and it left me a little disappointed with the service. After voicing this disappointment over my experience with Stereo Zone, owner Rick was quick to reach out to me and see what he could do to fix my situation and make sure I was a satisfied customer. I won't get into the details, but nonetheless he made the situation right and went above and beyond what he had to do to make sure I was a happy customer and that he would receive my business in the future (Thanks Rick!). I appreciated Rick's willingness to work with me to figure out a solution for my problems and it showed me that he is very serious about his business and making sure he keeps repeat customers. Overall, I'd say I had an uncommon, unpleasant first experience but I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Rick and Stereo Zone again based on my overall experience.
