I am pleased with my new car stereo. I decided that I needed a new car stereo that had an Apple Car Play integration so I didn't have to keep looking down at my phone for navigation instructions. I wrote up a list of what I wanted and sent it to the car stereo installers that had the best reviews on Yelp, including one I had used in the past. I must have sent this to 5 of the top-rated car stereo installers in Dallas. And guess what? None of them could respond intelligently to the requirements that I put together except for Joseph's Auto Toy Store. My challenge was that Joseph's did not have a 4 or 5 star rating on Yelp--although the shop does on Facebook and Google. So, I kept trying to get the other car stereo installers to respond to me via email and Facebook Messenger and Yelp messenger. I even tried calling a couple of times and got 'voicemail box is full.' (That is a huge pet peeve of mine--clear your voicemail boxes people!) And after 3 weeks of this, I replied to Joseph's via a Yelp message and explained my dilemma. Joel, the owner, replied back that they've been in business 36 years and have great customer and supplier relationships. He replied to my messages via Yelp so fast. So, I figured I'd give him a try. Yesterday, I stopped by and got my stereo installed. There were some complications that I think other car stereo shops would've taken longer to fix -- like a part was missing and it was raining. Joel called in a favor and had someone drive the part to us in the rain, even with all the Dallas traffic. Once installed, there was an issue with the steering wheel controls, and they caught the issue on their own --without me having to notice it--and used a hardwiring work around because there were no manufactured connectors available to match the unique configuration of the stereo and my vehicle. This did take longer than I expected, but I know that with any of the other shops I called -- who couldn't put two sentences together over text or email -- that I wouldn't have received my car back yesterday and that I'd still be waiting. My overall assessment of this Joseph's Auto Toy Store is that this place is run by professionals who know what they're doing and can communicate clearly. Unfortunately, no other shop I called--including Best Buy--gave me this impression. If you're a buyer that appreciates workmanship and communication, this is the place for you. read more

After just shy of $10k, 8 trips back to the store, and a month of listening to systems with issues.... We will NOT be back. I had 2 sound systems installed in 2 brand new vehicles. When i picked up the Bronco, Joel Joseph had "misunderstood" me and did an additional $600 worth of sound deadening. Then I paid for Alpine S69c speakers, and they installed Alpine E series speakers, causing the amp to fry them. Then They broke clips in one of the speaker grills (they replaced after they realized i knew) . They did not install one of the covers that go over the speaker, and caused vibrations. Then they installed another amp incorrectly, and caused another set of speakers to blow. Then I keep finding little nicks and scratches on the trim. Then they charged me for a specific subwoofer, and then its on back order, so they put a cheaper subwoofer in, and charged me full price for more expensive subwoofer. After install, the chime was twice as loud, and when opening the doors, the ding is way too loud. I asked them to fix, but they said they didnt turn it up and it wasnt their fault, even though it wasnt that loud before. I asked for a full refund, and to return the cars to stock, they refused to give a refund. So here now im here to warn folks to be careful when dealing with them.... Check your stuff. Im sure Joseph will respond to this saying they do good work and they guarantee their stuff, and if i had an issue i should go up there etc etc.... Well Joel.... i did. 8 times. Im done giving you chances to get stuff right that should have been done right the 1st time. 10k should have gotten me 2 AMAZING sounding systems.... instead i got 2 systems that sound like they came from Buckner. read more

Went to put a new system in the rv we just bought. They put in the wrong radio,. did not install the sirius chip like we asked them and instead of the back up camera not being put at the top of the van they put it on the license plate which sits off to the side. So we called them out on the radio and they agreed to fix it but charged us $200.00 dollars for a $50.00 chip. This place is a rip off. I will tell everyone I know not to go here read more

Their owner is like a grown child playing house aka running a business. All you have to do is look at their Google reviews and see his disgusting immature responses to see what type of person he is. They want to blame the company they're contacted through for any problem they have, even though they are the actual problem and then gaslight you and consider you as not being a client even though they had no problem taking my money. If I cared enough, I'd file a lawsuit just on principle alone. Don't ever go here, it's literally not worth it and there are plenty of other places nearby. I requested a quote from Joseph's Auto Toy Store (as well as others) for installing a backup camera in my Dodge Journey. Joseph's was the first one to get me a realistic and acceptable quote - not the cheapest but the quote was very reasonable. They also gave me information about the completion of the install (the computer would need to be flashed, which they could do - a dealer would charge over $100) that helped save money and helped me make the decision to go with them. Their shop was easy to find and it was clean and very professional. My interaction with the people at Joseph's (Joel, Angel and Joseph) was great. They treated me with respect and made sure that I was happy with the parts before installation and after installation. Thanks guys! I went to Joseph's to get a Compustar remote starter added with a Drone Mobile module. The price for the product and installation was very competitive. I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready by noon, which is very impressive. They showed me how to operate it and everything worked perfectly. Having the ability to remotely start/stop and lock/unlock my car from my smartphone is very convenient. Great customer service! Will definitely be back again for future add-ons. read more

Took my brand new car for window tint. The tint guy (who Joseph's claims is a sub-contractor) sliced through the seal on the exterior driver's side window ruining it. It took a few days for me to figure out what the problem was as there was an incredible noise while driving the car. Took the car back for damage assessment. Appointment was a noon; tint guy strolls in at 1:30. The best thing I can say about him is that he was hostile. He looked at the car and said the damage was an accident and he was not going to fix it or otherwise be responsible. He offered to glue the seal. Well, heck, why not just be real ghetto and use duct tape? I called the dealership and was told that the part is $70 PLUS labor (labor cost unknown at this point, but it will likely be expensive as they will have to dismantle the door and remove the window to reseal it). No, I would never do business with these people again. They do not stand behind their work and if they damage your vehicle, their attitude is "F-YOU." read more

After repeated calls and trips to the shop, each time told by employees that they had to speak with the manager and swearing they would call me back, there have been ZERO responses. The kid in front gave me a low ball price. Then the manager upchrged me $130 additional at the end. They said they would call me if there was any increases but did not. I left a new hoodie in my back seat and it came up missing. These guys were good for a while but now they are crooks. Avoid at all costs. I am trying to find out who owns the place. read more

These guys are the guys that you worry about dealing with. Over priced me on equipment and when I added an alarm system to my purchase didn't even install the sensors to activate it. They scarred my dash and tore the weather stripping on the driver side. They even scarred the top of my flat screen. I should have bought online and installed myself. Huge waste of money. read more

Horrible place, I went there and they broke my door stop, did not mount the alarm master box (so now I have new rattles in my dash), and my KC lights no longer worked. I have taken the vehicle back and complained, the only thing they fixed was the alarm was too sensitive. When they finally got the new doorstop they charged me for it, I was upset enough with them that I took the door stop and installed it myself. I went there in the first place because I saw vehicles that looked like show cars there occasionally, so I assumed they do quality work. THIS IS NOT SO, STEER CLEAR!!!
