Texas Image Volleyball - Bella and Brandon at the volleyball tournament in Fort Worth

I've never been here but I really wanted to see my friends Brandon and Bella play volleyball I…read moredon't play volleyball or on the team but I just wanted to watch them play because I know they're really good volleyball players and I hope they would invite me to their game this time by any chance (This is a photo of them having fun)

Just a reminder for parents when making decisions for the upcoming club volleyball season. Make…read moresure you pick a club with integrity that cares about its athletes. This was a notice we received over the weekend from Texas Image Volleyball in Grand Prairie letting us know that they are closing the indoor beach portion of their program to make room for additional indoor courts. This has been a second home over the last three years. 680.98 hours just in the last two years is the amount of time I've been there (my daughter has been there even more when I couldn't take her). I ran a GPS report from my companies GPS unit ("only" goes back 24 months), and I've spent just short of 29 full days (24 hour periods) at Texas Image supporting my daughter the last two years. A full month. Beach volleyball is booming across the country and Texas Image Sand has been a second home to my daughter and dozens of other beach athletes looking to pursue beach volleyball at the college level. It's also the home to hundreds of other beach volleyball athletes that play there throughout the winter when regular outdoor courts aren't accessible. As far as I know, it's the only indoor beach volleyball facility in all of Texas. Just an incredibly weak move from a local business. I couldn't imagine not giving your customers a period of time to find a new program and just alerting them via social media post of the closure. To cap off the post, I am incredibly thankful for Ray, Brad, Kyle, Olivia, Blake, and the other beach coaches. Hopefully they were treated better than the athletes, and given a period of time to find other jobs. Stay away from Texas Image indoor volleyball. To add insult to injury, the head coach Brad who has placed dozens of girls in college to play beach received one minute advanced notice before the social media post from Texas Image announcing the closure. Brutal! https://gofund.me/19f320fd

I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Karina at Lifetime Fitness for going above and beyond--not…read morejust once, but on 3 separate occasions--to help me look for something valuable I had lost. Unlike previous encounters where I was met with indifference and even a sense of burden from four other team members, that contributed to lower ratings. Karina showed true professionalism, kindness, and patience. She didn't just "do her job"--she treated me with genuine care, as if it were her own item that had gone missing. Her joyful attitude and excellent customer service turned what could have been another disappointing visit into a moment of restored trust in Lifetime's values. Because of Karina, I'm now seriously considering becoming a Diamond member. She is the kind of team member who represents everything Lifetime should stand for. If you're looking for someone to promote--you've already got your star. Thank you, Karina. You made a difference.

Since former general manager Jason Shoemaker left, the Life Time in Colleyville has, in my…read moreexperience, gone downhill significantly. The refrigerator regularly has no cold towels. Too many machines are out of order or have dead or missing batteries, and the cleanliness has noticeably declined. The dumbbell rack has broken holders for what looks like roughly half the dumbbells. I'm concerned someone could get seriously hurt if a dumbbell falls off. I do want to recognize the exceptional employees there. The personal training staff is amazing, especially Bernie and Jennifer. Luzma and Lydia in the children's daycare are also phenomenal and deserve recognition for the care they provide. The maintenance issues alone weren't enough to make me write a negative review. My concerns about the children's daycare finally pushed me to speak up. Recently, the daycare staff I've seen have been predominantly young men who appear to be teenagers. What concerns me most is whether they have the training and supervision needed to care for young children. In one incident, a young male employee took a little girl to the restroom and appeared unsure of the appropriate procedure. He did not go inside with her, but asked the manager whether he should. Staff caring for small children should already understand the restroom assistance policy and appropriate boundaries. When I raised my concerns with the current general manager, she told me she would be perfectly comfortable leaving her own daughter alone in a teenage boy's care without additional supervision. That response did not reassure me or address my concerns about staff training, supervision, and restroom procedures. I left feeling that my concerns as a parent had been dismissed. Taken together, these experiences have left me with serious concerns about maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and management. For what Life Time charges, I expect a well-maintained facility and a professionally run childcare center. Employees like Bernie, Jennifer, Luzma, and Lydia are a major bright spot, but this location needs stronger leadership, consistent staff training, and prompt attention to these problems.

Coming to Billy Bob's was the best choice we could've made that day. $6 admission for A/C was a no brainer. BB saved me from passing out and or crabbiness. The BBQ was good but I had overheated and only ordered the sausage for the sake of trying it while I was in TX. My son got a massive burger and fries which he said was delicious. $11 Half lb pepper sausage $10 fried pickles $14 Jack & jalapeno burger There are numerous bars everywhere, gift shop at the entry, an arena by the main bathrooms, pool tables scattered about ($2 to play) and a stage near the restaurant. It was nice being able to enjoy live music and relax. Love the dimmed setting, wooden tables, metal hardware and fixtures, repurposed barrel tables, and neon lights. Most people were dressed up with cowboy boots and hats. Cute couples on dates playing pool and enjoying the ambiance.

General admission is pretty reasonable--usually around $6 to $8 depending on the day and time you go. The place is absolutely massive!! I had no idea that it was so big!! Not only is there a whole dedicated dance floor but tons of pool tables, arcade games, and even a full indoor rodeo arena for live bull riding! I was misled and thought there was a mechanical bull.. there is not unfortunately but there is like a fake bull you can pay and take photos with. We happened to walk in right in the middle of a line-dancing class, which was super fun to watch! It's pretty amazing how quickly the dancers, both men and women, picked up the steps and choreography. They were all super good! Afterwards, it transitioned into open floor dancing, which was equally entertaining in my opinion! As a first-timer, it was a total blast and it's easy to see why it's such an iconic tourist destination. We didn't end up eating here since we had just grabbed dinner at Cattlemen's nearby, but the BBQ and other food options here didn't look super appetizing. Still, for drinks, dancing, and authentic Texas atmosphere, it's a must-visit when you're in the Stockyards!
