Additionally upper management does not care about their guests at all and has a bad attitude. In the past this was a great place with great upper management that was understanding and willing you work with you because they wanted what's best for you. I bought a membership for a family member and paid it in full as a gift for graduating last year. Little did I know they would keep my card on file and auto charge it without my personal knowledge for another year. I would have never agreed to keep my card on file for a simple one time gift. Upper management is not willing to work with me at all even though 2 different employees said it would be a simple fix and its wild to see their lack of empathy for the simple fact that I've been apart of this gym from 2010-2013 (break for college) and 2017-yesterday. I've paid for upgrades and private trainings as well as group classes. I've stayed loyal to this location but clearly keeping customers is not a priority. Can't believe they will be acquiring the Grand Prairie location that's shutting down with how awful and insensitive he is because proximity of location will keep people. Take your money elsewhere, you're only a $$$ to him at this location. An upper level managers should know how to de-escalate and not add fuel to the fire. *Update Chris the upper management doesn't know his company's policies at all and said that calling them wouldn't give me any different outcomes. His lack of empathy while working in a public facing job is baffling. Lucky for me I tried and gave corporate a call who profusely apologized for his bad attitude/demeanor was able to resolve the refund because it was within 7 days of the charge and will probably be the only reason I'd consider a different 24 Hr fitness location in the future going forward.

The space is smaller and lacking the locker rooms, changing areas, and courts the old location had. The previous location was already in a run-down part of Arlington, and this one isn't much of an improvement. On top of that, I was VERY disappointed to hear they will no longer have a kids club at the new location. I never received a heads-up or saw any posts mentioning this, and as a parent, that would have been nice to know at the VERY least. If you didn't like the previous location, you will definitely not like this one. The owner also has a temper, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. I've been a loyal customer for years, and now I have to go look elsewhere for a local gym.

I was charged a yearly fee (that was due for members) 2 days after I called and actually got my account canceled. this feed was 2x the monthly subscription price. Also had a negative experience with the gym due to poor maintenance of the facility and the staff. I requested a refund of the annual fee due to the fact that it's an annual fee and I would not be a member beyond the cancellation date of 30 days (the end of July). I can understand if I had cancelled a few months after the annual fee, but considering the cancel request was on the same day, I asked for an exception. I spoke to the rep at the gym and she told me to call the "800" number. When I called the "800" number and asked to speak to a manager, I was told to send an email. I sent an email and requested a call from the manager. Instead, I received an email response from a lead customer service specialist. The email wecare@fitnessconnection.com seems like an oxymoron considering speaking to anyone beyond the "800" number is non existent and the bad customer service experience. I have no doubt an exception can be made, but Fitness Connection is all about the money and not its members. I am warning anyone and everyone possible to stay away from Fitness Connection.

When the gym finally got completed and people started working out there, I had to stop and take a tour of this gym and I am glad I did. This gym is HUGE!!! and with TONS of workout equipment from different name brands, and TONS of cardio equipment which makes it better to have choices once your find your favorite machine to workout on. They have so many of the same machines, that you won't have to wait for a free machine like at most gyms. They also have a ton of other workout things to try, but are put on hold because of covid unfortunately. I'm happy I joined this gym and in case if you are wondering, you have to mask up and have workout gloves on at all times.

They have several clubs throughout the metroplex and tonight there was a planned social at Plucker's following the run. All age groups welcome, I think some people brought their kids along. You choose from three different groups to match your pace . The first is for power walkers and the lady leading the pack was pushing a stroller! The second wave is for slower runners and the last for the more advanced. We ran down Arbrook towards Workman junior high and did some laps around the track, then headed back to the parking lot. Afterwards everyone gathered in a large circle to do squats. I left at this point but when I'm feeling dedicated to getting that Kim K derriere, I might stay. I liked how they have people at the very end so no one gets left behind and there are shortcuts for those who don't want to do the full 5K. There were also water bottles for those of us who forgot. This was a notice we received over the weekend from Texas Image Volleyball in Grand Prairie letting us know that they are closing the indoor beach portion of their program to make room for additional indoor courts. This has been a second home over the last three years. 680.98 hours just in the last two years is the amount of time I've been there (my daughter has been there even more when I couldn't take her). I ran a GPS report from my companies GPS unit ("only" goes back 24 months), and I've spent just short of 29 full days (24 hour periods) at Texas Image supporting my daughter the last two years. A full month. Beach volleyball is booming across the country and Texas Image Sand has been a second home to my daughter and dozens of other beach athletes looking to pursue beach volleyball at the college level. It's also the home to hundreds of other beach volleyball athletes that play there throughout the winter when regular outdoor courts aren't accessible. As far as I know, it's the only indoor beach volleyball facility in all of Texas. Just an incredibly weak move from a local business. I couldn't imagine not giving your customers a period of time to find a new program and just alerting them via social media post of the closure. To cap off the post, I am incredibly thankful for Ray, Brad, Kyle, Olivia, Blake, and the other beach coaches. Hopefully they were treated better than the athletes, and given a period of time to find other jobs. Stay away from Texas Image indoor volleyball. To add insult to injury, the head coach Brad who has placed dozens of girls in college to play beach received one minute advanced notice before the social media post from Texas Image announcing the closure. Brutal! https://gofund.me/19f320fd
