I am VERY disappointed with the new Texas FITT location. After almost 10 years as a member, I expected better. The space is smaller and lacking the locker rooms, changing areas, and courts the old location had. The previous location was already in a run-down part of Arlington, and this one isn't much of an improvement. On top of that, I was VERY disappointed to hear they will no longer have a kids club at the new location. I never received a heads-up or saw any posts mentioning this, and as a parent, that would have been nice to know at the VERY least. If you didn't like the previous location, you will definitely not like this one. The owner also has a temper, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. I've been a loyal customer for years, and now I have to go look elsewhere for a local gym. read more

Amazing gym, very clean, super friendly, I cannot recommend them enough for anyone from super young to old.

The staff at Texas FITT is amazing, the cardio area is bright and airy, and the class area is very large. The reason for only three stars is because most of the equipment is outdated! A LOT of the equipment has holes that has been patched up with tape, quite a few of the machines stick, and everything is so gray and cold in the facility that it doesn't make you wanna stick around. For what they offer, the price is also more costly than other gyms in the area. read more

Fairly new to this gym I've only been going about a month or so. Love The Gym has everything that I need. Staff is amazing.

Okay gym. Gone down hill over the last few years. Majority of dumbbells and barbells are bent and or not balanced properly. Meaning, When you hold them they either want to roll out of your hand causing tweaks and unnecessary strains. That and hordes of teenagers that group around equipment. read more

Do not give them your credit card. I paid for a week(Aug 2020) to try it out found them generally friendly. So I decided to purchase a year and paid in CASH for a full year. I was told that was it, made sure it would not be renewed or I would have to do anything after that year. Fast forward a year ...I work an hour away from here and have not been there in 4 months. I suddenly get a 405 dollar charge on my card. I never put a card down for a membership. My card info was taken and typed into the system for a renewal I was never contacted about. Either their sales staff lied or they need better communication among employees. I am now being called by a third party company about this. There hours and location just dont work for my schedule. I would say it was a nice gym except for the shady business practices. Please be wary. read more

I can't speak to the equipment because I'm new to working out but I have major social anxiety and even cried cause I was over welled when I first came in. I explained my situation and they were super nice and explained that the group room is open for me to use when a class isn't going on and they told me times less ppl are there so I could come at a time that isn't so busy. They've been super helpful with equipment that's stuck and finding weights or asking questions I have about a work out! I highly recommend if you're looking for a genuinely not judgement workout space. read more

I find paying $135 a month for a membership exorbitant! So many other gyms in the area at a better price to train yourself and kiddos. The cost does not justify the quality. Nothing luxurious or fancy having a membership here. Look elsewhere. read more

My girl and I love this gym, the knowledgeable and friendly staff, the various exercise programs where you never feel like an outsider to join in. Being a diabetic, I especially appreciate the healthy, nutritious, smoothies that bring me back to life when I have trained extra hard. I have been to several other gyms before I found this one. This is actually a good gym. I've been going for a couple of weeks now. I mainly use the cardio equipment, which is always available. They have touch screen monitors which take a little getting used to. There are no contracts which is a plus. I'm giving it 4 stars because the tv's in the cardio area are frequently on Netflix programming and once the shows are over no one restarts them. Also, they need more seating and lounges around the pool. There are plenty of free weights and machines and staff is friendly. If you are shopping for a gym you should definitely check out this place. read more

This used to be the Maverick Athletic Club. I loved the Maverick!! I drove almost a half hour each way from Mansfield just to work out there. The Maverick was the only gym I ever really felt comfortable in. It had an older clientele (except for the racquetball players) and made you feel comfortable not having all the young hardbodies and people trying to use a gym as a pickup location as is common at so many other places. I decided to visit Texas FITT and see if I liked it and continued my membership with them. Unfortunately the new owners brought over their members (they closed their old location) and while they have made some nice upgrades to the building and equipment, it is now just another typical place with younger, hard bodied yuppy types or singles looking for a hookup like all the rest. I was disappointed to say the least. I hope there is another gym in Arlington like the Maverick was with a friendly atmosphere for families and older people. The search begins. Really enjoyed dropping in here for a couple days with my girlfriend. Friendly people, clean and spacious areas, and all the equipment you could want. Free weight area is large and decently organized. Upstairs there's a long carpeted hallway where you can push a sled. They've got two Concept 2 rowers which was a big plus for me. One of the best gyms around. I came across the gym right after the lockdowns, I'm already fit but I was looking for something specific. I'm a crossfit athlete, I needed challenging, focused workout routines that target those stubborn areas, professional trainers, and a nice clean place to workout, this gym's got it all. Lisa's just weights class is the absolute best for body sculpting, targeting legs, abs and glutes like nothing else I did before. Selassie's kickboxing/Hiit class is on the top of my list too, the cycling class is amazing, there's also Jenny's classes and private training. Those are professional trainers with long years of experience available 6 days a week to fit every schedule. when I started working out here I was fit, now I'm fit with amazing legs, glutes and my abs look better. read more

Definitely the cleanest and most maintained gym in Arlington! The staff is super helpful and makes guests and patrons feel like family. The only downside is the hours since I'm a full time student and work full time too but I manage to get in and out and have a great workout! I was visiting my family in Arlington and tagged along as a visitor for the week. Visitor pass was $10 total for 4 days. Pleasantly surprised with the expense due to the fact my usual gym is $15 a day. The facility was clean, machines available, and friendly staff. I have worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years and there are things I look at at each facility. Yes this facility is a little out dated, but it serves its purpose and I left feeling I had a great workout. I will be using my guest pass for the rest of the week and enjoying a laid back environment. read more

We LOVE this gym!! My husband and I are visiting family in Arlington for our 3 week Christmas break. He is in the military & has to keep up his fitness level and I'm training for a fitness competition back home & can't slack off over the holidays. This is a Christian family-owned gym & the owners are wonderful! They cut us an awesome deal for our short visit and they have everything we need to get our workout done. Super clean facility with many options. They not only have the commercial exercise machines & free weights but they have crossfit, too! That is a HUGE plus since we get burned out on the weights & want to change it up a bit. I highly recommend this gym to anyone- great for all ages & abilities. My fiancé and I were drawn to this place because of their location and after reading all the amenities on their website we were really excited to take a tour... So we showed up and after about a minute or two of the three people behind the counter staring at us the my fiancé asked if we could look around which finally prompted the girl there to offer us a "tour". This place kinda looks like it's still under construction which would be understandable if they were adding any of the amenities that they boast on their website. But all they have are a bunch of machines.... Oh and some classrooms... This place is mediocre at best. The place looks empty, the staff seemed as though it was painful to deal with customers and I wasn't impressed with their offerings. We were disappointed that there was no racquetball or inline skating rink as displayed on their website. read more

When my son got to 15 months old I knew I needed to start back at the gym but I was so nervous to step foot in any gym. That feeling totally went away when I came into this gym. The staff is SO friendly and welcoming. The gym is clean and nicely organized. They have so much to offer as well. My son goes to the kids club while I work out and he enjoys it.
