The restrooms are fairly clean compared to most. This is not a truckstop. There are no driver amenities. No showers, no laundry, and no driver's lounge. Only parking and diesel fuel. Happy to have the parking and food though! The food options are okay. They have several options of wings, fresh pizza, roller grill, and Krispy Kreme donuts. There's also cold sandwiches, wraps, fruit, and an ice cream bar. There's also a Waffle House, Arby's, and a McDonald's within walking distance. It is busy in the mornings but the staff was pleasant and keeping the line moving. The young lady at night had almost no customers and treated us like an inconvenience even though we spent $60 on food and misc. Shame on her.

This little restaurant is kinda out in the country, but an easy drive from south Huntsville. It's somewhat easy to miss but definitely worth a visit. They primarily serve breakfast and lunch (though I think there's a dinner service once or twice a week) and it's country cooking/American classics. We came for lunch. The restaurant is obviously owned by community-minded folks; it seems they regularly provide opportunities to give back to the needy, such as free meal services on certain nights. They also have partnered with a church in Uganda, which owners and staff members visit to provide both practical and religious services. This religious commitment is evident inside the restaurant and there are interesting pictures and stories shared from their trips. Our waitress was warm and polite and happy to share her experiences with my ever-curious dad. Our food was cooked quickly and to our specifications. We all had heard good things about their burgers and wanted to try them. We all three got a 4 oz cheeseburger each. We appreciated the smaller size for a more manageable lunch but if you're hungry they also offer 6 oz patties. I added bacon to my burger. It was a simple but tasty old timey style hamburger with nicely melted cheese. My bacon was a teeny bit burnt but I still enjoyed the flavor. Our fries were crinkle cut but fried freshly and were nice and fluffy. They have several dessert options, all of which sounded good (coca cola cake!), but we weren't quite hungry enough to justify it. Maybe sometime in the future. All in all, a pleasant experience that I'm glad I had. I bet they serve a good breakfast, too!

This TD/Shell was super clean with easy access from 72 or Balch Road. The pumps worked as expected and trash cans were not overflowing. There were plenty of gas pumps, and parking spots. The store interior was stocked well, and was clean and modern. The TD offers all the convenience store accoutrements you would expect except vino. There is no vino in this store. They do have beer for sale. I can't speak to the coffee or the restrooms as I just glanced around the TD and got back to running errands. Thanks, TD, for offering a large, clean, well-lighted gas station experience in a part of town that really needs this (I'm looking at you Mapco on the north side of 72 at County Line Road - which is super tight in terms of space and frequented by panhandlers)!

During our most recent visit, my daughter walked in holding an apple she was already eating as we browsed. Almost immediately, the teller confronted us in a way that felt unnecessary insisting that she could not eat the apple inside the store. The manner in which this was handled felt far beyond a simple policy reminder--it felt uncomfortable. As an African-American family, the interaction left us feeling singled out and disrespected in a place we had previously felt welcome. No customer should be made to feel this way--especially in a business we've supported repeatedly. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others, particularly African-American families, to think twice before visiting this location.

I only purchased goods with acceptable shelf lives. I was at the front of the store where the snacks are versus walking down the aisles. I have in the past seen bulging cans which told me not to frequent this store. I picked several snacks, candy and gum, that were not expired. There were several items out of shelf life I picked up and put down too. If you buy anything at this store, please check the expiration dates to protect yourself and your loved ones. If you wonder if I pointed out things are expired, the answer is yes. Did I remove all the expired items from the shelves today, no I did not. I have told the owner many times about expired items in the past. I choose to take my business elsewhere rather than tell someone how to stock their shelves or run their business.
