I was very pleasantly surprised at this grocery. Very clean. Fantastic selection of items in deli/bakery area. While I had no interaction with any staff, I can only assume (hopefully) they are helpful and friendly. The floral area was very nice as well. Entering the store on the right side at the front were several varieties of rices. I looked to the left and the cold section was the distance of the length of the store and stocked with several varieties of noodles, tofu's, vegetables, fresh fish, fresh shrimp and much more. There was NO SMELL from the seafood. I walked around the store admiring all the clean floors and shelves which is expected from a new business. There was only one checkout line available and I was second in line with only a few items and the person in front had a large basket full. There was a younger man behind me, also with a few items. I asked if there were no express lines open and the cashier said no when all of the sudden a female employee from the front of the store motioned for the young man behind me to come to the front so she could check him out. I was frustrated because it looked like there was some favoritism going on based on ethnicity since they were both the same and I am white. I just left my basket of items and walked out, never to return. I'm not saying all of Publix has a preference in who gets good customer service, but it sure did look like they got at least one employee who does. I put my groceries in my bag on the conveyor belt and instead of taking the time to scan them in the bag just threw them out everywhere. I now have raspberry all over my hands, my car, and my bag & groceries. Don't bother coming here. What a waste of time.
