The employees go out of their way to help customers. This store has all the major items other Publix stores have plus which is great since it is smaller than the store on Whitesburg and the new store on South Memorial Parkway. The pharmacy employees all go out of their way to help customers. I use this Publix for one stop shopping where I can pick up prescriptions and grocery shop. Two of the pharmacy technicians know me by name and have my prescriptions ready for pickup when they see me in line. This store has been my go to for many years. It has a small town quaintness with big town benefits.

They had hand/shopping cart wipes and the store was really neat and clean, and, as others said, staff at any Publix I've been in are always very friendly and helpful! I noticed they had an abundance of "grab and go items," and somehow, I never saw the deli or the customer service area. I think the customer service desk is a hard right as you enter the store. What I really love is the Publix app. I haven't used all the features, (preloading coupons, making a shopping list, shopping the sale items via the app., etc.) I **do** love the app's touchless payment option! Just load your payment(s) (for me, that's my Visa to pay for grocery items and my FHSA card for prescription/OTC items) and you scan (or as I call it - take a picture of) the Q-code on the payment screen and voila! You've paid, and the app obtains and retains the purchase receipt. Touchless and cool. A lot of the Publix staff are not familiar with the app., and sometimes they struggle to complete the transaction, even though I announce "I am paying with the Publix app" and show them. This may add a few minutes to the transaction, and once, I had trouble scanning the Q-code due to the Plexiglass partition, but finally made it work. This is a nice Publix and I'm happy it's nearby in Clift Farms!

But lo and behold, there's a Caribbean and African food store just beyond Sparkman in North Huntsville. The selection and store are both modest but it's kept well and Grace, the proprietor, is nice and welcoming. Of particular interest, I found dried fish and shrimp skins along with a brand of palm oil of which i wasn't familiar. There's also a smattering of stuff you'd find in larger chains including apple cider vinegar and mango marinades. There's a lot of habanero and ghost pepper relishes on the aisles as well. Also interestingly enough, she ordered Ethiopian berbere for me and I expect a call in a few days for delivery dates. I don't frequent the north side of huntsvegas that much but when I do, this is what I like to see.

The staff at the store was very friendly and helpful. The butcher had the meat and was able to help me quickly and efficiently. The prices were very fair so I bought the rest of the ingredients at the store. Overall, a great experience and I recommend this grocery store.
