From the moment you step off the elevator, you know that you are somewhere special. It reminded us of our trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We were surprised at how authentically italian the food was and soooo delicious! We started out with the Amalfi and Rosa Pesca slushies along with Fried Calamari (we couldn't ask for a better pairing). The Linguine Alle Vongole was soooo good! The Funghi Pizza has 3 different mushrooms, truffle oil & sauce with the piece de resistance, torched Rosemary. We visited Tetto Rooftop for the CID DJ set free popup! Walking into the building may feel a little weird because it seems like an average office building, but stepping out of the elevator is already an experience. The indoor decor is thoughtful and chic. But then you step out onto the rooftop area and it's once of the most gorgeous views of the skyline there is. Since Tetto is in West Loop/Fulton Market, the east-facing view is absolutely breathtaking, especially with the sunset sky as a backdrop. The configuration is a little awkward because there were tables when you first walk out, then the dance floor and DJ stage, and then you have to get past that to get the bar (the upper part of an L shape, if you will). So you're fighting a bit of the crowd to get a drink. The lines for the bar were also very confusing, I ended up in a line where the original bartender disappeared and had to wait for one of the adjacent bartenders to take pity on my for my order. They do not have any wine options so we settled for two-touch well cocktails and seltzers. Totally fine but fair warning that they are the small sizes, and with the speed (or lack thereof) of the lines, you'd probably want to get two at a time and it still might not be enough. The crowd was fun and the set up makes it feel very intimate. We were right up there super close to the stage and CID. The booth area was kind of small so it was amusing and slightly concerning to see the booth baddies try to dance on this teeny tiny platform behind the DJ. Sound and production was actually really good for a rooftop/non-permanent stage! I would recommend earplugs since you're so close to the speakers, though. It was a great set, well-handled overall, and we had a ton of fun! Chill but boujee. The drinks? Dangerous (in the best way). We grabbed a round of their cocktails--refreshing, strong, and too pretty to drink (but I drank them anyway). This is a perfect spot for an unobstructed view of the city! I would recommend coming here for drinks and a vibe but not for food, unfortunately. I came here for a birthday celebration where we rented out a section of the lounge area. I don't know too much info on it since I didn't book the spot, but if you need a good group space with views and a few bites, this might be the spot for that. There were about 20 of us and it was the perfect space for everyone. The group stayed around for almost 6 hours so we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We had our own server and she was incredible! Other than the views from this place and the zucchini fries, everything here is frustratingly below average. Don't go here to eat food or drink cocktails. Go here to enjoy the views, take selfies, and have a beer. The cocktails are hit or miss. Our table was wobbly to the point where I was concerned glass drinkware would either spill or topple over so I was deliberately bracing it. The dirt/dust on the tabletop I was holding, which accumulated over more than a few days, made the idea of eating a pizza with my hands unpleasant. So pasta was the decision. And regretti spaghetti... Do not order the pasta here. Go anywhere else nearby for pasta. It was hard (beyond al dente) and not at all worth the cost even if portion was larger. It tasted like undercooked Barilla boxed pasta. Service was fine for what this place is (bar trying to do more but should probably stop and focus on drinks first). Other places nearby will give you better food and drink for similar if not less cost. If the weather is nice and you happen to be nearby, may as well check it out though. read more

I recently came here during a week night early in the summer with my wife. We arrived around 6 pm. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. The first thing that struck me were the absolutely stunning near 360 degree views of Chicago. The views of the Loop and the buildings of the Magnificent mile were especially stunning. The atmosphere was bright and colorful with some great furniture and a nice feature wall. The food was very good. Typically, places with stunning views and amazing decks don't have good food, but that's not the case here. We're ordered the small pizze prosciutto for an appetizer and the orecchiette and the genovese as our mains. I also ordered the Frequent Flyer. I particularly loved the pizza and that pasta was perfectly al dente. Lastly, the service the was excellent. We were seated quickly and our food and drinks came out quickly. However, we definitely took it slow just enjoying the views. This a must visit spot for a Chicago summer. read more

Tetto's has a nice roof top area but here was not a lot of seating, so plan on standing. The drink (Spa Day) I had was mediocre, at best. It was premixed and tasted that way. I got to try Tettos for the first time this weekend and OMG probably has the best pizza I've ever tasted. My friend and I split a deluxe pepperoni grandma style and it was so good. I don't usually eat pizza crusts but it was so crispy and delicious that I could eat the entire thing! Their polpette was also pretty good (and filling) but the pizza was the star of the show for me. They have a decent drink selection and it tasted alright to me! Just your standard, nothing too special. The rooftop was gorgeous, I wish we went when the weather was nicer but it was great. There's a DJ that would play pretty good music, I felt like it was a bit too loud though because it was hard to hear my friend talk throughout the night. Going to have to deduct a star just because the service was a bit all over the place. We had to hunt down our waiter to get served and I felt like he wasn't as attentive or knowledgeable about the menu. Given that this place is new I do give him props for being friendly and positive! When you get on the rooftop you immediately feel the good vibes. The music is awesome and the view is gorgeous. The hostess was super kind and gave us some seating options which was nice! The venue is so cute and perfect for a day rave. The house calls events here are so fun! Great cocktails and pizza as well! My boyfriend and I each ordered a slice--1 pepperoni and 1 humboldt pie. 4.4 stars TL;DR Great pizza, great drinks, great service, good vibes all with a beautiful view but can quickly add up to a very pricey dinner for pizza & cocktails. Still one of the top 3 restaurants I might recommend for friends visiting the West Loop and Fulton area. A great addition to the Fulton Market area with a rooftop that is idyllic for a warm Chicago summer day. Our server was super friendly and very welcoming, he showed up at the perfect times to put in more drinks and was very easy going and accommodating. He wasn't phased at all when we requested a half pepperoni pie which some places make a big deal about. 5/5 stars The pizza was some of the best I've had in Chicago. The standout element being their sauce. If I had to guess I'd say it was whole crushed San Mariano or Roma punched up with a bit of extra sweetness, S+P and slivers of paper thin garlic. Good salty cheese (prob whole fat low moisture mozzarella) topped onto a nice thin NY crust. Pizza had great structure and I appreciate the fact that they don't lean on semolina for that bottom crispness that some places tend to do. If I had to rate the pizza alone I would say it falls somewhere between Paulie Gee and Jimmy's but with better sauce than both of them. Cocktails were delicious and strong and each paired up perfectly with the pizza. Ambiance couldn't be better, you have a spectacular view of downtown, along with some chill music and some glorious sunshine the vibe can't be beat. Value, this is where my rating dips just a bit. We had a really great time, but it's def a pricey pizza party! Even though $15 a cocktail has become the standard price for a cocktail in Chicago it still seems a bit steep to me. Our pie came out to about $30, now that's not too crazy but I'd def expect a full 20" NY pie for that amount anywhere else (mind you I wasn't surprised by this, it clearly states 18" pie on the menu). I also kind of roll my eyes at the 4 slices of Sicilian style at those same prices not to mention their $7 individual slices. I don't fault Tetto for their prices, I know I'm mostly paying for their rent and that view, however it does shift my mindset on how often I can return for another round of pizza and cocktails. Went around 730pm on Friday in august and the weather was just perfect, sun setting, nice breeze They have string lights set up and good fun music playing but not too loud so was able to chat and catch up with friends It's first come first serve (no reservations). We were a group of 3 and there was a 45 minute wait for a table but we went to the bar and grabbed a drink. The drink itself and bar service were not good. There were multiple bartenders behind the bar but none of them seemed to take initiative to take our order. After asking someone if we can order drinks, I was able to order the frutta picante (supposed to be a spicy fruity margarita), it seemed to be some pre mix juice that they just added tequila too and it was very sweet, not spicy. Presentation was also not great. For $17 I'd expect better taste and at least better presentation. It was fun and roomy around the bar for us to hang out and talk We got seated after 45 mins as promised and waitresses were nice and helpful. They said there's a 2 hour limit on the table but if there is no one on the wait list then we could stay longer. We ordered the cheese grandma crust pizza which looks sooo gooodd in pictures/IG. It ended up being okay. The crust and sauce had a great taste but wished there was more sauce and cheese since the crust was so thick. I'd go back and try the other pizza with toppings The focaccia bread was really good and would highly recommend ordering that! Servers were again really nice but we had to ask for water repeatedly. I had a great time at Tetto! We went before a Sox game on a Sat. We got there when they opened at 4pm and were sat expeditiously at the bar (there were also tables available but we didn't have much time so we just went with the bar). The views of the city are great and the atmosphere was smooth but I can see how this place can get packed if you come a bit later because it's a super cute spot and they don't take reservations on the roof at Tetto. Only at Tabu downstairs which I've reviewed as well. Now to the pizza! It was very good. I'd give it a 7.5/10. Def top notch, the drinks were good, not amazing but definitely good. All in all I'd say it's a great spot for some good IG photo ops, better than decent pizza and a great view. read more

Came here specifically for the pizza. The pizza is ran by separate company (professor pizza). You should definitely check out the pizza. The place is a rooftop bar. We showed up about 415pm and were carded by the doorman at the ground level. (He was the one 5-star interaction we had). We didn't know this was a bar prior to going. There was no hostess. We walked in, checked out everything and didn't want to sit in the sun so we sat at one of the empty lounge tables. There was a table of 3 sitting next to us. The table next to us and us were the only ones there. There was no "reserved" sign. A server came up to us and said we had to move bc we were not a 6-top. We looked around and asked if we had to due to the sun and heat. She got an attitude and said she would get the manager. We waited for 5-10 minutes but no manager. The manager came out to do a floor walkthrough about 10 minutes later. We were already in the process of leaving and had a reservation on ectful conversation with the manager. We specifically came for the pizza. And instead of serving 1-2 drinks per person at 15$ each, you ran off two paying guests when your place was clearly empty. We ended up at a different pizza place near the white Sox game. Customer service was 5-star, shuttle to the game, pizza was enh. read more

Very solid pizza by Professor Pizza, but the service, at least at the bar, was atrocious. The servers at the bar basically weren't paying any attention to customers unless called on for their attention. It felt like they had an aversion to filling up our water glasses. The rooftop area is nice, and if I found myself here after work or something with coworkers I wouldn't be mad about it, especially since the pizza is so great. For food, we got some NY style white slices, NY style pepperoni, and a grandma style deluxe pepperoni. All was delicoius! The NY style had a great dough/cheese/sauce ratio, and the topping flavors were robust and flavorful. The grandma style, at least for deluxe pepperoni, was very filling and heavy, so keep that in mind! The pizza here definitely is in the top ranks of Chicago, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to the West Loop if you're not nearby. There are other great options across the city, with a handful being superior in my opinion. I'll probably never go back for dine-in, but I totally recommend ordering pickup for pizza! read more

We got there at 650 and they said there was a wait, but then another person came up to us to tell us it becomes an adult only (21+) after 8 pm so we would need to be off the rooftop by then with our kiddos. I said that was fine and we will. They explained that it's because it becomes very loud and I said of course understood. I said if they could seat us soon then we can order fast. Eventually they seated us, but seated us at a makeshift table right in front of the DJ!! Haha! I mean if it's going to get too loud for kids after 8 then what was the purpose of that table in front of the dj. There were other tables available. Anyway, it was overall a great vibe! Just posting because I'm frustrated, the first time I came here we couldn't get in because it was booked for a private event. No problem, it happens. The next time we try to go, I did everything I could to try and call ahead to make sure there wasn't a private event that night. I called the number on their website and it led me to the restaurant next door, which didn't pick up. I tried calling the number for professor pizza as well and still got no answer. We just decided to try our luck and show up, lo and behold, another private event :( I'm just frustrated at the lack of communication. It would be nice if they could mention if they're booked on the website or at the very least figure out how people can contact them. We give up and won't be giving it a third try. read more
