It's a very nice space where you get a great view of the skyline! Our drinks were yummy, but we weren't a huge fan of the food. However, it's a great spot if you wanted to grab drinks on a rooftop with a view!
We were looking for a place to get a few drinks before a show at the United Center. This is on top of hotel and has a great view plus awesome happy hour drink and bite bites prices. There is also a little photo spot. If you want to take pictures for your social media. It was busy, but didn't feel crowded. Our server was a little slope, but that is again because they were busy before a concert. We were there from about 5:45 to 6:45 PM and street parking was no problem. I will note that there were two of us and we ordered some food and two drinks each and an 18% gratuity was added to the bill so be sure to watch for that so you don't end up tipping 40%. I would definitely go back again on a night that I was headed to the United Center.
Let me start by saying the ambience is breathtaking! You can see the city from up there, hospitality on point and we even saw fireworks from Navy Pier. drink were good esp for the price. The food however was just mid which was a little disappointing. To me it was a little overpriced, the service was kind of slow and my food didn't taste well to me and most of my party wasn't really satisfied. I may give them another try because they could have just been having an off day but I won't run there.
This place is very nice and out of the city center. Nice folks not really sure why anyone stays here in this area of the city but maybe it's for manufacturing business or something. There are a ton of restaurants though within a 1 mile area of here and the rooftop deck is actually pretty freaking cool.
This rooftop has one of the best views of the Chicago skyline, especially around sunset! It's located at the top of a hotel, so it's the perfect spot to bring family or friends visiting from out of town. Also, simply the best spot to take photos with the city in the background. There's plenty of seating, plus a closable roof cover that makes it a great option even once the weather starts to cool down. The happy hour is also such a good deal, $10 cocktails, $8 wine, and $5 beers Monday-Friday from 4-6 PM. Anddd we love that they didn't forget about the food!! They have $10 bar bites during happy hour too. Our server was super attentive, & we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Definitely worth adding to your Chicago rooftop list!
If you're looking for a rooftop with amazing skyline views, great cocktails, and an elevated but relaxed atmosphere, Kennedy Rooftop is a must-visit. Their happy hour Monday-Friday from 4-6 PM is such a good deal with $10 cocktails and $10 food options. I really enjoyed the seasonal spritz, espresso martini, sliders, and flatbread. Everything was flavorful and perfect for sharing. The views alone make this spot worth visiting, but the ambiance and service made the experience even better. Perfect place to enjoy rooftop season in Chicago!
Stayed at the Hyatt Place with this joint on the seventh floor. There was an amazing view, good live music, excellent service, and yummy food/drink. Try the Cubano. Plenty of people and entertainment at night, which is nice when the weather is good.
This spot is highly underrated. Kennedy Rooftop is located on top of the Hyatt. Gorgeous ....gorgeous city views are found here. We made a stop in for a couple of cocktails and then sat back and enjoyed each other's company. Highly recommend the Reuben sandwich and nachos!
Solid experience, I would definitely recommend. The ambience varies. The hight tops give you a party moment, the table tops give you intimate conversation vibes, and the fireplace setting gives you cozy/ friends around the fire scene. The signature drinks were solid. They didn't stand out in any way or were bad.
Came for light bites and drinks before meeting friends out! We were sat immediately. Drinks were really good, our server was friendly and great! A great rooftop and amazing view of the skyline!
Came here before a show at the Salt Shed and the bartender Nicole was probably the nicest bartender I've ever met, but also a true Chicagoan. The food was underwhelming but the drinks were good and you cannot beat the view. Even in the cooler fall months being outside was comfortable with the heat lamps. Would definitely recommend if you're lookin for a place to grab drinks before a show.
Kennedy Rooftop is such a cute spot and the perfect place to spend a summer evening in Chicago! There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and I appreciated that they had lots of heaters available for cooler nights. We started with drinks, and the Peartini was definitely the star of the night, super unique, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the non-alcoholic mojito and really enjoyed it as well. For food, we shared the burrata, flatbread, and sliders. Everything was tasty, but the sliders were my personal favorite and something I'd definitely order again. One thing that stood out was that the prices felt much more reasonable compared to many other rooftop bars in the city. Between the great food and drinks, beautiful skyline views, and relaxed atmosphere, Kennedy Rooftop is a spot I'd happily return to. Bonus: they also have live music on Tuesdays! read more
When you want a skyline view, this is a great place to relax. You can valet or street park. There's an indoor and outdoor bar at the roof. Plenty of seating throughout. Since I live nearby, it's perfect for times when I just don't to drive into the Downtown/River North area. Our bartender, Nicole was the best! Loves the job and the hospitality was felt. We had out of town guests, so having Nicole was truly a blessing. It got a bit windy (one of those nights) and we eventually moved inside which was fine. We got all our skyline and selfie pics out of the way LOL! Drinks and desserts were great and reasonably priced. I'll find more pics to upload. Hot tip, try street parking first. Our valet parking was about $20-22 plus tip. read more
Kennedy Rooftop has the most gorgeous view of the city. Great place to bring out of town visitors for a photo opportunity. I would suggest just coming here for drinks and sitting at the bar. The food was very mid & had incredibly poor service. There was also 18% tip already included. Chicken and waffles was fine, not enough chicken to waffle ratio and waffles were bland. read more

The Doctor, Queen and I were looking for something to do that didn't involve dealing with the traffic and/or neighborhood street festivals. Because the day was going to be a very nice one, I wanted to find someplace that had outdoor seating, but not too close to any neighborhood festivities. I went to my trusty Yelp app and came across this place. I must say this was a good find for us. Located on the seventh floor of the Hyatt Place Wicker Park, the Kennedy Rooftop hosts a magnificent view of the city. This is definitely a hidden gem in Wicker Park. I was not expecting to find this on Ashland and North Ave. The space itself is very engaging and of a nice size. There is a small bar area and plenty of seating, under a covered rooftop as well as in open space. The tables were spaced far enough apart so it didn't feel like we were sitting on top of the table next to us. In the open areas , there were additional sofas, tables, and chairs. The space is definitely large enough to host large venues....the night we were there, there was a wedding party being held from 7-10 pm. I love the fact that, like the Godfrey, you can make reservations, although they do accept walk-ins. The menu is not extensive but solid. We started off with 606 Charcuterie Board ($27). There was a nice selection of meats and cheeses, but for the price, I expected a little more of each item. We ended up asking for more bread to finish off the cheese. There was a very nice marmalade that paired well with the cheese and bread. We also got an order of the lamb meatballs ($21). These were four to a serving and were pretty good, but for the price, not something I would get again. For my main course as well as The Doctor, I went with the Chipotle Pork Sliders. These were served with a house made coleslaw and butter pickles on a brioche bun. There were three to an order and that was plenty with a side of fries. I would definitely come back for these. The Queen got the Wild mushroom ravioli and cleaned her plate. I cannot speak on this dish because I am not a fan of this type of ravioli, but she loved it. We finished up with Warm Apple Tart, with the three of us sharing it, but next time I will get this all for me. There was a good mix of beers, cocktails, and wines. I got a Robert De Nola - Brut Rosé Cava, which was nice and the price was very good. The Queen got something that tasted like watermelon...it was cute how they finished off the glass with something to make it look like seeds from a watermelon. She had two of them, so it must have been good. This was such a fun place to hang out on a Saturday early evening. Our server Nicole was super nice and attentive...definitely recommend sitting in her section. There was plenty street parking within walking distance, so it is definitely going to be on the list of joints to hang out at for outdoor bars. My only complaint about the place is that I couldn't see the Kennedy from there, but this is not a deal breaker. I love walking cars go by while having a drink....if the Hyatt could relocate itself to get a little closer so I can see the cars whizzing by, that would be great :-D read more

Nice rooftop with great views. We went during happy hour and ordered drinks and the margarita flatbread. The drinks were great especially the coconut cranberry mojito! We were having dinner somewhere else so we just ordered the flatbread to share. It was 4 of us and the flatbread was just 1 piece of toast cut up. The marinara sauce and cheese was great but too small a portion, even for a shareable appetizer. They have some high top seating that blocks the views when people are seated there. That was really the only negative. I'm from out of town and would return again. read more

Rooftops in Chicago have some of the best views and Kennedy Rooftop is no exception! Located at Hyatt Place in Wicker Park you can see the entire skyline. Along with the views, try the delicious food menu and drinks. I really recommend brunch here. Pancakes, eggs or other goodies are available. And of course brunch cocktails! Don't get me started on the trio of mimosas haha exceptional service! Definitely a must visit. read more

Kennedy Rooftop was such a vibe The Chicago skyline views are stunning, especially at night. The heated igloos with blankets and a speaker to play your own music made it feel extra cozy and intimate. Perfect for a cute night out. read more

Hubby wanted to have a nice date night at the Rooftop for the first time and it would have been lovely had it not been raining in January. I imagine the rooftop is a big draw since the ambience inside was lacking. However, they had set up comfy outdoor seating, complete with heat lamps and a fire pit. Nicole was our server and absolutely amazing. She took very good care of us, even when I told her the butternut squash was inedible. I don't understand why it is in the menu. The pasta tasted rubbery, as though it were a plate of play food you weren't supposed to eat. The filling was no better. It was like biting into a bag of potpourri filled with sage, a hint of butternut squash and too much lemon grass. The butternut squash soup, however, was ah-amazing. I sent back the play food of potpourri-filled pasta and had the double stack cheeseburger with grilled onions, pepper jack cheese and arugula. It was delicious and completely made up for the ravioli. Nicole helped too. read more

The best rooftop restaurant view! The moment you walk into this rooftop you will be in love with the views and vibes of this place. Rising above the city at Kennedy Rooftop -where delicious flavors, breathtaking views, and great service come together for an unforgettable dining experience. We had the Mojitos, Prairie Land Wings, Mango Ceviche, Margherita Flatbread, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Madison's Skillet and toffee butter cake . Everything tasted amazing and the portion sizes were good too. I love that they have a nice variety in the menu so there is something there for everyone. Go and try them for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed. read more
It's a roof top bar with an absolutely sweet view of the skyline- what more can you ask for? Flaming table to keep you warm check, friendly bar tender check, strong spirits check. We had a Negroni and amaretto stone sour. For dessert we had the toffee cake and melted cookies with ice cream both hit the spot. Hey on this perfect night with the last warm day of October? Really this spot is perfect. read more
Love Kennedy Rooftop! This is one of the biggest rooftops I've seen with so many places to sit with large parties. Atmosphere is amazing and the views are even better with 360 skyline views of the city. Their cocktails are great and it's perfect for a group dinner / happy hour spot. read more
It was a rainy morning, so we were hopeful that by our reservation time of 7 p.m., the weather would cooperate for a rooftop experience. The evening turned out beautiful and despite some cloud cover, it was an absolutely beautiful evening! Beautiful views of downtown Chicago and the surrounding area. We enjoyed our cocktails. The food was delicious and the portions were pretty generous. All-in-all, it was a perfect night. The Kennedy is very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, courteous and responsive. Will definitely be back! read more

Lemme tell ya this rooftop is definitely in the sky. Located on the corner of Ashland and north avenue, this is a hidden rooftop. You'd have to know it's there or you'd walk right past it. This is very standard yet comfortable ambiance to experience. This rooftop doesn't require much and you don't have to dress to impress. The view or the city is just enough to see the Chicago downtown skyline as well as the neighborhood. They have a very large spacing so don't worry about bumping into anyone. Our server was a sweet lady who didn't waste time serving us with a bright beautiful smile and personality to match. I ordered the jungle bird and my friend ordered some pork sliders. The jungle bird is super tart in my opinion - heavy on the grapefruit taste which I wasn't a fan of. The sliders on the other hand were a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The fresh pineapple paired with the flavorful and tender pork was a nice combo. Definitely enough to curb your appetite yet leave you wanting more. I'd definitely return and bring friends. read more

Hello, Do your igloos have heaters? Is there a temperature at which they will be closed? What's the cancellation policy?
We did close this weekend because our heaters couldn’t handle it this cold but we are getting new heaters that will be able to handle this cold and should have them next week.
Are reservations allowed? If so, what's the max number for Covid?
It’s a first come first serve so all you have to do is show up. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
Is it all ages?
It is all ages until after 9 than it is 21 and older on the rooftop. We do have a inside area that we allow younger ages in accompanied by a family member 21 and older.
Do they have a lunch menu?
Good Afternoon Rebecca, Saturday and Sunday our brunch menu starts at 11am and goes to 3pm and…
How many people in a group are allowed to dine here during COVID-19?
I've seen 8 in groups they have some nice size lounge couches that gives enough space for that. I would also check with the establishment just to make sure and to get a fresh update on day to day changes! I hope this help you out 😉
