The installers (Scott and Nate) actually upgraded some of the existing plumbing in the process of the installation instead of the cut-and-paste work they probably could have done. Very pleased with the whole experience, and would not hesitate to use Waltz plumbing & heating again. The bottom line price for the quality of work done was very fair in my opinion, compared to other estimates we got.

When we discovered water leaking through a recessed light, I was convinced the roof was leaking. Michael immediately diagnosed the real problem in less then five minutes, which was a leak in our water line. He fixed it quickly with his assistant who knew every tool Micheal needed ahead of time, and the price was reasonable. He neatly cut out 2 - 14x14 pieces in our ceiling and told us to purchase access panels until we could replace ceiling. He's incredibly knowledgeable, honest, kind, and professional! We highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for an outstanding Master Plumber!

I sent a request to many hvac companies here, several replied. I went with A&S due to the reasonable cost and that they were able to come out within 2 days. Eury really put the work in to figure out what was wrong, and that's why I'm giving this review. He probably spent an hour diagnosing the problem, which is a good use of the $79 fee. Turns out it was indeed pepcos thermostat that was malfunctioning and not my furnace. Because i was impressed with his service, I bought a new thermostat and installation on site from Eury. I simply don't trust Pepco to take responsibility for their own product and get out here to fix it, so I paid the $250 charge to A&S to actually fix my problem.

This business left us out in the cold. The tech, David, that came out was great - he was willing…read moreto discuss the issue with our boiler on a level i could understand. We had a 10 year parts warranty, so expected to pay only labor, which Anthony & Son confirmed multiple times. We received an invoice by email on a Saturday for $1,000 - with no line item for what was parts or labor. The price seemed high for just the labor that David didn't expect to take long, and when we asked why the price was so high, Anthony and Son reduced the price but again merely sent an email without explanation, provided no line item and refused to look up the part to tell me the MSRP. When I called the person person manning the phones claimed they sent an invoice on Friday (they never did) and implied I should have signed immediately for them to order the part, and nothing could be done until Monday After further inquiries, (each time I had to call - there was never any follow up), the owner, Rafael, finally called me back on Monday, the day they were supposed to make the repairs, and after 3 days without heat. Rafael insisted I was lying about the timing of the invoice, and defended his assistant, who blamed the whole ordeal on me over the weekend. Rafael told me he was the owner of the business and didn't have to deal with people asking questions about the actual costs of parts versus labor. He then claimed a senior tech would have to come out to confirm the issue was actually the problem, and we'd have to wait even longer for our boiler to be repaired. At no point over the weekend was I told the initial diagnosis may be incorrect. I questioned why Anthony and Son kept shifting costs and steps to repair the issue, and Rafael then refused to come out to fix our boiler at all until I apologized for questioning his lack of transparency in pricing He cursed at me, calling me a "pain in the ass" and further insulted me, before hanging up the phone. It seems Anthony and Son ropes you in to a job, then banks on you paying them whatever they want just to get your heat working again, knowing you won't want to spend more time and money hiring another business to come out for a diagnostic and repair.

I figured I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone before Monday. I still called Ewin HVAC on Sunday expecting to leave a message. Rob answered after 1 ring at 8am on Sunday morning!! I couldn't believe it! He was able to squeeze in an appointment for us the very next day. Monday came and he was running a bit late. However he called and apologized prior to arriving. He stayed until 8pm that night diagnosing the problem (it was a refrigerant leak in our A/C coil) and even got us a temporary fix so we could have cool air for our newborn that same night. His prices and estimates were fair and he let me know the worst case scenario upfront. THE BEST PART was our A/C coil had just come out of manufacturer's warranty. Rob made no guarantees but promised to try to get it covered by the manufacturer anyway. Tuesday morning he called and let me know he was able to get us a brand new coil COVERED. Saved us $500-$600!! Rob did not have to do that for us but his willingness to get us the best deal made a strong and lasting impression. He then was able to get the parts needed and installed the new coil promptly a few days later. The A/C is running better than ever before and we have Rob to thank. I would not go to anyone else for your HVAC needs, Rob is the best!!

Brian the owner of Design Flow was very knowledgeable and able to accommodate my request which was to connect a new furnace to existing AC unit (located in a narrow utility closet), rather than having to replace the whole stack which is what another company had originally told me. The AC was relatively new and working well. Brian was about business without a hard sell edge. He explained everything about the new size issue, drew a plan of how the ductwork would be moved, told me how the work flow for this type of job typically works and provided a thorough proposal. Everyone from the company owner, to Michelle in the office to the installation technicians were on point. Job was done in a timely manner, and the guys were very neat! Well worth the money.

The inspector said the other two were beyond their normal useful life but still worked. What we didn't expect was that we couldn't get the property insured unless we agreed to replace all three heating and cooling systems within a month! We scrambled to find a good HVAC company that could do the job for us. Enter Design Flow Heating and Cooling. Working closely with us, they recommended three cost-effective heat pumps. They then removed and disposed of all the old systems and installed the new ones well within the thirty-day limit. But once we moved in, we discovered the upstairs wasn't being cooled uniformly, and in fact the previous owner had blocked the vents in some places in an attempt to balance it. The pros at Design Flow diagnosed the problems promptly and installed new ducts and returns to draw the hot ceiling air away from areas where the temperature was too high. It made such a difference! I recommend Design Flow Heating & Cooling without reservation!
