We had an amazing time at the Teton Teepee Lodge this summer! It was the CLEANEST facility I've ever stayed at, and we would love to know the mattress, as my fiancé and I slept so well! The food and snacks were great and it's such a unique space: played all the games and hung out at the bon fire at night. Would love to return at ski season!

    Our Swissy boy, Gus!

Last August, we were in this beautiful lodge, and for the first time, I met a greater Swiss Mountain Dog there. The manager has a gentle Swissy. I lost my dog in June, and I didn't want to bring a new dog, but after I saw that gentle and gorgeous dog, I fell in love with this breed. I found a breeder, and after one month, a Swissy joined our family. Now our boy is 15 months old. I won't forget this beautiful lodge because it changed my life. I hope we can go over with my boy, Gus, again.

My husband and I had an excellent stay at the Teton Teepee Lodge. It is well located to go skiing at the Grand Targhee Resort. Dan and Alma are great hosts - they are very friendly and make you feel 'at home' with their warm hospitality. And then there is the resident dog, Lizzy, who welcomes you every time you come home. :) She is a sweet Swiss Mountain Dog. They feed you delicious breakfast, which includes Dan's phenomenal muffins. The rooms are not big but the common area of the lodge is so spacious that you won't spend that much time in your room. There are dining tables and comfortable chairs/couches to lounge in throughout the common area. There is also a beautiful fire place in the center of the lodge. You have access to community refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle throughout the day, so it's easy to make a meal if you don't feel like going out to eat. There is a great supermarket in a nearby town of Driggs, ID. Alta, WY is a small, mostly residential town, so you do need to drive to Driggs to get food, groceries, gas etc. If you're arriving late, you might want to pick up something in Driggs before arriving at the lodge. As for the room itself, we got a room with one queen bed. They also have rooms with two twin beds, if you're traveling with friends, family etc. The floor is heated around the bathroom/sink area, which is really nice in the winter. Water pressure in the shower was great and the bed was super comfy! There is also a boot dryer for your ski/snowboard boots right outside of each guest room. It was nice to step into warm ski boots every morning! We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. In fact, I'm already thinking of staying here for a week next winter and ski Grand Targhee Mon-Fri... ;) So much powder at GT, it was unreal!! Ok, I'll save that for another review.

We stayed here June 2022. If you're traveling the Grand Tetons area, Driggs Idaho for example, we stayed at The Teton Teepee Lodge in Alta, WY I was never so impressed. The pics online don't do it justice so I'm posting my own. It was abandoned for 15 years until the new owners came on board and have renovated it beautifully. When I had a question about booking, I sent them an email and they called me back before the end of day - WHILE they were out of the country! Breakfast is provided daily, beautiful loft areas, game room in basement, outside fire circle, river along the back, decorated to the nines, very affordable. Bear spray to rent LOL.

Our entire family believe's this ranch, and these wonderful people running this operation, are some of our favorites. Great food, a nice setting and the kind of atmosphere you don't find anywhere else! Pack Trips: Over the years we've enjoyed a couple pack trips, the kids were pretty young (7 and 8) then again ages 10, and 11. Both trips (two nights and 6 nights) were led by a great crew including Melissa, Peter Linn and Tyson. The entire experience(s) was just 5 star! A remarkable experience for children and parents. Wedding: So when it was the right time to get married, well it was a pretty easy choice for us. Our ceremony (wedding) was at Lin Canyon ranch of course, and every single detail was absolutely Perfect!! The folks here are honest, intelligent, classy enough to please an East Coast foodie ... just a terrific place which we hope never changes. This was my first time staying in an honest to goodness Conestoga wagon, and it was truly luxurious. Not words I ever imagined typing. Pulling into Moose Creek Ranch was not immediately remarkable, but beginning to walk the grounds, I felt the persistent mountain breeze, heard the babbling Trail Creek, and saw the peaceful natural surroundings and well-manicured grounds all commanding my recognition. Then there were the comfortable environs of the ranch buildings, inclusive of the cozy lodge room, a game area, and a spot for breakfast, all with a chill music soundtrack wafting through. The staff were friendly through and through. We took advantage of a trail ride with Biscuit, our wrangler, the morning of the 4th of July, and enjoyed his capable, humorous guidance through a forest trail near the Ranch, capably tailed by Rooster the resident corralling canine. And now back to the Conestoga wagon. These things boasted bunk beds and a king size, with a full bathroom, small sitting area, pre-stocked mini bar with room for your own items, plentiful plugs/USB ports, and a highly capable mini-split AC system. Ridiculous (in a good way)! If the original Westward Ho movement had these things, Manifest Destiny would have hinged on thread-count, and we'd have never made it past Ohio. These things would be the Airstreams of the 1800s. Loved the experience. This might be the experience you needed, even if you didn't know it.

The owner wasn't there for the wedding but she was pleasant to work with throughout the weeks leading up to the wedding. However, the lady that was there that helped us, I think her name was Jennifer, was absolutely terrible. She tried to control the wedding by telling us who and who could not walk down the aisle. She was constantly trying to dictate how the wedding was performed. We finally had to tell her that we didn't need her input. Later in the evening, my Mom walked into the kitchen and Jennifer was legitimately stealing food. There was a lot of Salsa and she was taking the salsa from a container and putting it in a personal jar. Her response was "You walked in at the wrong time." We also had to clean everything from taking out trash to wiping counters and mopping the kitchen. I think a lot of it was the responsibility of the employees but I'm not sure on that. Jennifer was extremely dishonest and made the wedding ceremony a little bit of a nightmare. Three stars were given just because of The Loft being a nice place and well decorated. Also, the kitchen is really dirty and greasy.

We stayed at the cabin "The Ritz" and it was perfect for our family of 4. There is a bedroom upstairs with 2 twin beds and then the queen room down. A grill, coffee maker, mini fridge, and small kitchen with dishes, utensils etc. would have allowed for us to cook if we had wanted to. But we chose to eat at the several amazing restaurants nearby. Wilson is a 1.5 mile drive with some incredible places - Nora's Fishcreek for breakfast is a must! And Streetcar is an excellent choice with a great variety of quality food from Tacos, hamburgers, Poke bowls, fresh salads, and more. Or head into Jackson for more great choices - Snake River Brewing is recommended. We also were able to book a Wildlife safari with Brush Buck into the Tetons and it was incredible. We saw a grizzly and 4 cubs, a moose, mule deer, elk, pronghorn, and marmots. The boys also had an AMAZING guided fishing expedition up to Jenny lake (the Snake River is not fishable this time of year but the lake trout was abundant!). But back to the ranch. The Ritz cabin is adorable with a screened-in porch, fireplace, winding staircase and HUGE open windows that allowed us to admire the incredible view. Lilacs were left for us upon our arrival. The property is a horse ranch. Also there are a bunch of other cabins to choose from so if you need something larger, etc. check out the website. The horses are from private borders so you can't ride them, but you can feed them apples or carrots; which was the highlight of our experience here. Just spending time with the horses, walking trails, etc. There are several trailheads 1/2 mi up the road from the ranch, which one leads you up to to an incredible calm lake at the top of Teton Pass. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing gem in Jackson Hole. It was the perfect place to rest and experience being on a horse ranch and enjoying the majesty of the Tetons. I cannot thank Alex and Mike enough for everything!!!
