If you don't book well in advance, Jackson Hole may not have enough lodging options. 3. Comfortable beds and clean linen, sheets and towels. 4. Quiet and safe. I wasn't sure what to expect from this hostel but everyone observed quiet hours at night and folks kept to themselves. Cons: 1. It's hard to even find the entrance! There are no signs which actually advertise "Cache House" 2. No onsite parking. You have to find street parking which is not always easy if you arrive at night. 3. It can get quite suffocating to sleep inside the bunks especially if you're on the upper bunk. You only have a tiny fan for air circulation and the curtain blocks any of the outside AC air. 4. Our locker kept jamming and our combination wouldn't work. At one point we just kept our luggage in our car and only carried the essentials with us to the hostel. I'd say this is definitely one option to stay in Jackson Hole for a max of 1-2 nights provided you couldn't find something better in terms of pricing and availability.

Jackson Hole is a pretty expensive place to visit and this hostel was one that had (less) bad reviews and not so crazy prices. ($371 for two nights, Thurs and Friday. Yes, still quite pricey) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The concierge called us the day of to make sure we were still coming, and was fine to us checking in around midnight. It is located in the same building as the anvil hotel, and the check in area is through an entrance in the small parking lot onsite. ....don't try to park there though, there is only street parking across the street. It can be limited. Check in process was fairly easy. There was someone at the desk to help us get sorted. They told us the queen bed we reserved was not clean when we got there, so they gave us a new bed right away. Thankfully it was a Thursday night and there were less people so it was easy to arrange. The entire place is downstairs under the anvil hotel. We were allowed one locker (big enough for one carry on luggage), and one drawer under bed (two big backpacks). They also provide you with a shower towel and another small/face towel. You cannot bring food or drink inside the bed area. My friend and I loved the numerous individual shower rooms, equipped with your own toilet, sink, shower, lavender scented shampoo conditioner body wash! They also had multiple rooms with just toilets as well. The sinks are at the end of the hall and had labeled sections for dirty towels. The other reviews stated there was no AC, which is true. I did not find it a problem, even though we came here July 7-9 2022. There is no ventilation whatsoever but It was relatively cool when I stayed. There was a small fan that kept us cool in our lower bunk. We kept it on the entire night. The showers also had no ventilation so after showers, it would stay humid unless you kept the door open to dry. Living spaces was comfortable. There was a Couch area, community bench and table, and a few tables and chairs. Unfortunately if you wanted hot water (for food), you had to go upstairs to ask the front desk for hot water. They would only give you a cup though bc the front desk doubled as a coffee shop. No refrigerator as well. Lock on our locker kept getting jammed or not working so we had to go upstairs to ask to get it fixed. There was basically no one working downstairs, so if you wanted anything, you needed to go upstairs to front desk to ask about it. They were nice and polite but it was a hassle. I liked that this place was in the middle of Jackson hole/downtown so it was walking distance to coffee shops, shopping area, small park, restaurants. There was also a farmers market down the street the Saturday we were leaving! Overall, pretty cool hostel that might have upped my expectations of hostels forever! But I would assume it would be nice since we paid a pretty penny... Definitely would stay here again if I were visiting. Weeknights are a lot quieter, Friday and Saturdays are a bit busier with more people in and out

It was certainly a warmer place than we had been laying our heads so we were appreciative of many of the amenities. They have onsite laundry for your smelly clothes or if you want to get caught up with laundry before getting home to unpack. Let it be known that it is $10.00 PER LOAD -$5 wash/$5 dry. The walls and ceiling are incredibly thin. They do provide cute notes and ear plugs to overcome this objective. It was tolerable for us but be aware. You will hear your neighbors. Superb location. Quick walk (5-10 min) to many great spots around Jackson. Super quick walk to Pearl St Bagels. In room coffee station did not include any tea options. Overall decent room for value.

"Ooh, mama You run for the money…read moreYou don't even know about wild mountain honey" (Steve Miller Band) If you aren't expecting a Marriott or Hilton experience, you will be OK. Modern Motel is a cluster of buildings around a central courtyard with a fire pit. It has a wonderful location within easy walking distance to all of Jackson's restaurants and shopping. Modern gives you a small room with a small bathroom. The room was recently redecorated with carpeting and wall decor, so it was very neat. But it was short on electrical plugs and the room was dark -even with all the lights and lamps on, there were shadows in the room. The heat was noisy (when it first came on we thought it was a rainstorm) and the bathroom fan was noisier. There are no dressers, but an oversized tall wall cutout for your skis. There is a built-in bottle opener on the wall. Speaking of walls, they are pretty thin so you'll hear every sneeze, cough, and footstep. but no worries - because this is the only motel I've ever seen that prov8des earplugs for the room. There are some great features, besides the location. Service was great, and when we had a problem with the shower, a gent from the office was over to get things going within minutes.

And you charged $8 a night. Honestly I was very unimpressed. $400 a night. The sheets were ragged and those things you put on top of the beds are from about 1960. And your towels, oh my goodness, thin and white and rough and old. I got a text message - it was very nice welcoming me to my room and asking me if I needed anything. I replied and asked that I would like a few more pillows and another blanket which we did end up needing but no one ever replied. No elevator. $400 a night. Three flights and no elevator. Yes the room was clean. The housekeeper seemed very kind and helpful. But for $400 a night you guys should really up your standard.

I will never consider booking here again and would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Finally reached a manager. He was quite polite but stated they found no indications of bugs. I can hardly reconcile that given that I returned home covered with back , torso, arm bites, and had the diagnosis affirmed locally-- with no intervening stay. We leave the conversation at an impasse. I have the bites, the discarded luggage, the medical confirmation, but Continuum has their view. I will not (ever) be staying there again, nor can I suggest this to anyone else. Make you own choices, thus informed. Remarkable. ---- Update I called the Jackson Dept of Health after the cursory dismissal by the manager. I had no confidence that a proper evaluation of the room was performed and that mitigation was undertaken. Denial does not make the facts disappear

Yes, walls are paper thin (you can hear all the doors open/close from inside your room - worked in our favor bec it forced us to be up and ready early haha) and yes rooms have no refrigerators (i think only select ones have) which for the price you'd expect there even a small one. But overall the experience was good, the room was CLEAN. Based on the reviews, I made a point to inspect the bed and towels since I have an insane allergy to dust, and it was all good. Check-in/check-out was quick and seamless. Free masks were offered and free coffee in the morning was a plus as well! Overall a great base camp and will consider going back.
