After 10 it did go pretty quiet, so kudos for enforcing quiet hours. Outside of that, because of the proximity to each other, it was a madhouse. That was probably mainly because neighbors had little respect for others. I also, noticed the electric service had reversed polarity at our site. I must say it was a full weekend. The only reason the review got 3 stars was because of the location…read more We held my daughter's wedding at the venue and were told as well as it being advertised that we could use the indoor and outdoor space for her event. We were told two days before the wedding that there is a noise ordinance which is a county ordinance. That is fine but the time was not disclosed until the day before the wedding. We were then told we would need to move the entire wedding party for dancing inside the building. That the outside area that had concrete and lights could be used to set up tables for food but not for dancing. The venue does not have air conditioning so when it's hot outside it's not safe to have people being physical inside when you are renting the location because you want to be outside. Then at 10:00pm when you have to move everything inside with all doors shut it gets extremely hot. We had the police called out twice, the first at 8:00 pm and the second at 8:45 pm which were well before the noise ordinance time. Nothing like having police lights pull up to your event and people wondering what's happening and nothing is. You're also going want to know that the wasps are really bad. Obviously, you are outside, so we expected mosquitos and flies, but the wasp traps were completely full. We told the staff we had issues at the rehearsal and were told they knew it was a problem, but you'll have to empty them and get new ones if you want. We had a couple of people get stung and anyone eating outside had to deal with them flying all around you and your food. This event venue is expensive and there comes with that a level of expectations and customer service you aren't going to get. It's a lot of "sorry" but deal with it attitude. Parking close to the venue is an issue and the signage to the location is not well marked for guests who have not been there. If you have a large party plan to have golf carts or UTV's to bring people from the farthest parking lot. It's too far walk when you're dressed nicely or in heels. The speaker system is fine, but most DJ's want to use their own equipment and not plug into another system due to worry about breaking what they have. Which they don't allow and have someone coming to your event on the hour to check and see that you're following all the rules. Basically, if you want to spend a lot of money for an outdoor wedding this is not the best choice.

I suspect that a great many of these reviews are fake--fake bots, fake accounts, or fake reviews…read morewritten by friends and family. Basic hallmarks--overly-glowing and weirdly specific reviews, often the "writer" has no or few other reviews, and they seem to pop up right after a negative review. I stayed here the evening of July 3rd. The only positives that I can (honestly) list are that the property is reasonably quiet, and that no one bothered our (packed) car during the evening. I also noted that the shower water pressure was very good. Now onto the negatives: Starting off strong: we were informed at check in that check out was at 9AM. The woman at the front desk vaguely explained that due to the Independence Day holiday, their hotel was full and they needed to prepare the rooms for new guests. She literally shrugged when it was pointed out to her that our email confirmation states that the checkout is at 11am. I watched as she explained the same thing (with the same affect) to other guests who had already paid, and I watched her receive guest reactions similar to ours. As we approached the door, we had been warned that there are "issues" with all of their new key card locks. We had to jiggle the handle up, down, then up again a few more times to finally get the door open. Once it was open... The room was musty. Most everything was old, and there was an automatic air freshener that sprayed out sickeningly sweet mist. The carpet was stained, the sheet had a hole in it, the 2 pillows on the queen-sized bed were flat, the pillowcases had very large bleach stains, and the coffee maker was sitting atop an old foldable tv tray. The actual ceiling light was very dim, but and the window shades were very old and thin, so lights from the parking lot shone into the room all night, making it hard to sleep. The room also wasn't very clean--the very old bathroom had someone else's hair on the walls of the shower, and one of the washcloths was stained. On the way out, we discovered that we were double-charged for the single night. We were assured that it was a pending charge that would likely clear up (similar to a damage deposit)--but surprise, surprise, both of the charges hit our account after the holiday weekend, and we had to call them to get a refund. If it hadn't been a holiday weekend, we would have left immediately. As it stood, we woke up sore and groggy from a poor night's sleep at a pretty worn down and badly maintained hotel. I would not be surprised to see this truthful review buried by a couple of new "reviews" raving about an "amazing smelling, beautifully lit and spotless oasis with the beds made for royalty." The positive reviews are fake.

People were friendly but never met the proprietor as we came in late. It's a bit off the beaten path in terms of location to town. It would nicer if there was a barrier between the grounds and the highway.
