It feels like I'm home to be watching TV and pause to fix a snack in the kitchen. Sink and counter are outside the bathroom in a dressing area with a large closet for hanging/storing things. Included breakfast buffet had fresh cut fruit salad, other fruit options, two waffle makers, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, cereals, etc. Plenty of space to spread out and lots of clean tables. I was in charge of finding the hotel and getting all the families to stay somewhere together. Out of all the reservations I made, I made 1 mistake booking an extra night. I called the hotel to try to get a refund, but because I paid upfront they told me to call another number. Long story short, I was in a loop calling different numbers for an hour. I finally got ahold of Wes the manager and he was very snippy and short with me saying he couldn't do anything except shorten my stay with no refund. When we checked in the lady was very nice but told us house keeping was upon request only, we called the next morning and Robert said there was no house keeping. He was very rude too about it. He said, "In the last year I've worked here, we have never offered housekeeping." However, there's a sticker on my mirror saying they offer it every other day. When we got to our room, I noticed right away diarrhea was splattered up in the toilet, we called the front checkin lady and she said she would take care of it. We went to dinner. When we came back it was still there. I called the next morning to notify them and they said they would clean it. We came back that night, still wasn't cleaned. Our room alarm also went off at 5:30 am! House keeping should have made sure that was off. I got a text asking about my stay, I briefly told them how bad it was going. They offered me little reward points, I let them know my 2 rooms were almost $1200 and to not get room service once and noticeable diarrhea in my toilet is not acceptable. I never got the reward points. TERRIBLE HOTEL!!!!! I will NEVER stay at the Tru again and I will most definitely NEVER refer 16 families here again! In fact, I heard several of our families talk about their own horrible experiences and they won't stay at a Tru again either.

He acted rude, confrontational, and even went so far as to call the police for no reason at all -- completely unnecessary and out of line. His behavior was weird and made me feel unwelcome and unsafe. I've stayed at plenty of Hampton Inns before and never had an issue, but this location needs serious attention from upper management. If this is how guests are treated, I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else in Idaho Falls.

The first person to shower had to use body wash for her hair because the very large bottle of shampoo that is provided in the shower was completely empty. We were able to have an employee up to our room about 10 minutes after the request who brought a bee bottle and replaced the empty one. The beds themselves were comfy. In fact that is why I booked the Hampton because they always have very comfortable beds. However, unfortunately our room seemed to have been skipped for clean sheets on both beds. One of our beds had a large amount of crumbs in at as well as what appeared to be dog hair. Very short, coarse dark hair all over the fitted sheet. My granddaughters bed also had a ton of crumbs and some disgusting chunks of something that looked similar to boogers and bloody boogers. We were in town to visit our adult children and grandchildren and by the time I realized this it was after midnight and we were too tired to take things up with the staff. Thankfully we brought our own blankets and pillows and laid on the top of all the covers. The top covers appeared cleaned and we got a good night's rest. It's disappointing that the Hampton in is employing people that have such standards as to skip one of the most important steps of the room cleaning process. We will most likely stay in a Hampton in the future but never in Idaho Falls again.

I came back through in peak season and was bummed to find it sold out, but not surprised! I'll definitely keep looking for availability here whenever I'm passing through Idaho Falls. Because there are full kitchenettes there is NOT much of a breakfast selection, but you're in town so go support a local restaurant. They have a custom coffee maker thing but there's only one and it doesn't do large cups, so to fill my 20oz yeti travel mug I had to do it twice. NOT efficient for a hotel full of people who want coffee. This machine is an IHG trend and is replacing in-room coffee makers which I am NOT A FAN of - they're creating a false bottleneck, probably trying to break people of the habit of expecting free coffee.
