We booked online through Hotels.com This hotel has no elevator. Upon check in we were offered a…read moreroom near the exterior entrance for convenience. We were told the hotel would be quiet since it was only 1/3 booked. However, we discovered that since this room was adjacent to the stairs it was noisy all night with people thumping up and down until 1:30 and again starting at 3:00 through 5:30. I talked to the desk manager about this following the first night and he offered a different room but since he said the hotel would certainly be quieter the upcoming night we opted not to go through the hassle of changing rooms. Well it was not quieter, if anything noisier, people thumping up and down the stairs until 2:00 in the morning and again starting at 3:45. I talked to the manager again after the second night suggesting perhaps they should comp one night of our stay. He refused to do so saying that he couldn't do anything since we had booked online and not directly through the hotel. The hotel personnel must know how noisy the rooms adjacent to the stairs are. I suggest that the stairs adjacent rooms should not be assigned until all other rooms are full, they are the worst rooms in the hotel. I sensed a prejudice towards customers who book online. I would never stay at this hotel again. One front desk employee was just plain rude when I came to discuss the noisy stairs after the second night. The desk manager guy was pleasant enough but displayed a prejudice toward customers who book through an online service.

The rooms were the same except in my first stay I had a master suite and this time it was just a standard 2 room suite. Everything in the hotel was nice and clean. All the doors and counters and such were high quality. I'm starting to become a fan of AmericInn. I know a lot of people like their hotels to be different, but there is some sort of satisfaction about knowing what you are going to get when you walk into a hotel. I feel like I have this knowledge now with AmericInn. I ended up sleeping in so I missed the free breakfast so I can't really comment on that. The only real negative I have is that the elevator was sort of jenky and made some weird sounds. I enjoyed my stay here and I think I will have to start booking more stays at AmericInn. Luckily there was one ADA room left. We were able to get all of our laundry done. There were 2 stackables. It was about $4 to wash and dry a load of laundry. Bring quarters. The shower was a beautiful walk-in, rock-tiled shower which my mom really enjoyed. There was ample space in the restroom area. The room was spacious and clean. My mom was able to navigate easily. We had 2 queen beds which served us perfectly. Walking along the river to the many various options for dinner was a treat. We ate at the Mexican food restaurant at the corner. That place was busy. Bar seating is not self serve. The enchiladas suiza and margaritas were fantastic. We were treated to custom omelettes the following morning. Other than the omelettes, it was the typical breakfast found at all the hotels. Great value. It was worth it to pay a bit more due to its location and amenities.

Plenty early enough for us to still get on the road early for a leisurely drive through the Grand Teton in the morning. Our room was nice. Since we are elderly and our room was on the second floor (no elevator) , it was very convenient to have a room close to the stairs. We were amazed that there were no USB ports at all in our room. Who doesn't provide USB ports? The front desk staff were very helpful in providing information on nearby businesses where we could buy USB charging ports for our iPhone charging cables and our portable batteries. We enjoyed all the other amenities in our room. We loved the facilities themselves. The restaurant was outstanding! We were greeted enthusiastically as soon as we crossed the threshold. Our server, Jamie, was superb in every way--her demeanor, her knowledge of the food items, her interest in the fact that this is our "Birthday Road Trip" and her quality service. We are so glad Jamie raved about the Huckleberry lemonade and encouraged us to try it. That lemonade was delicious! The food was outstanding ! The portions were so large, as much as we hated to, we couldn't finish those huge steaks or all of the corn appetizer. The garlic mashed potatoes and garlic beans were delicious. What was especially beautiful about the beans is that they were cooked just right. Jamie served us bread with what she explained is their signature whipped mascarpone cream with honey .
