Spent 2 days st Jenny Lake in Sep 2018. This lodge gets great reviews and they are fully deserved!! My husband and I stopped here after Yellowstone and it was excellent. The staff, the private cabin, horse back riding, hiking, Boat ride over lake, and most of all the excellent dining. The 7 course meal was superb and breakfast was excellent too. Worth every penny. Will definitely return!

Our experience here was definitely 5+ stars. Located in the Grand Teton National Park, the lodge contains the main lobby, small gift shop and dining room. Huckleberry lemonade is given to you at checkin. All accommodations are in one of 37 individual and duplex log cabins with each cabin having a name of a local flower. We stayed in the Harebell cabin which was a single cabin with a king bed (My wife was not amused with me calling it the Hairball Cabin). Quiet and serene setting. Stunning views of Grand Teton mountains everywhere on the property, just look up. Included in the price is a 2 hour guided horseback guided ride, you just need to sign up in advance. It fills up quickly. The ride is in open areas and along a rocky narrow trail but our horses, Idaho and Paintbrush were sure footed. A bicycle corral contains many bicycles to choose from and to keep at your cabin during your stay. Walking sticks provided in room and some of the best hiking trails in the Tetons are accessible directly from the lodge. GM reception on your first night providing wine and champagne. But don't fill up as a 5 course meal is waiting for you at the lodge dining room - another 5 star experience. Pricing is $$$ but includes breakfast and dinner - order as much as you want. See separate reviews for Jenny Lake Lodge Dining Room. It is best to book 8 - 10 months in advance as they run at full capacity.

We have been here several times and always find it to be a very pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help when asked. The menu in the dinning room is varied and we always like to try something different each time. If you are nearby at any time give them a try.

Those are some mighty fine tetons there.

Located inside the national park, the lodge is a romantic, cozy nest and a real pleasure to call "home" as a temporary bivouac between sorties into and out of the park's many wonders. We used it to access the Lupine Meadows Trailhead and Mount Moran.(http://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/jlth.htm) They serve a complimentary breakfast and a manager's reception, have a restaurant (with hot coffee!) and comfy guestrooms with free wi-fi, refrigerator and other amenities. This sure beats the hell out of roughing it with a backpack and tent. Yellowstone has a million things to see and do. Mountains, rivers and lakes teem with more animals milling around than you can shake a stick at (whatever the hell that means). There are recreational opportunities a-plenty http://www.expedia.com/Yellowstone-National-Park-Hotels-Jenny-Lake-Lodge.h1159276.Hotel-Information?gclid=CMyimpSmpbcCFSjZQgod5FcAZQ&semcid=13172-1&rm1=a2&kword=%20Jenny_%20Lake_%20Lodge!m.ZzZz.3350000987742.0.19585868192.%20jenny%20%20lake%20%20lodge.%20jenny_%20lake_%20lodge&# Though a bit on the pricey side, it pays off in spades when you awake in your own soft bed with clean, fluffy pillows rather than waking on a hard-packed dirt trail in a mummy-sack with mosquitos buzzing all around and no coffee till you build the fire!

Ask the Community - Jenny Lake Lodge

Is breakfast and dinner still included in the price? Dress code? Room recommendation for two new retirees? We are thinking of staying 5 or 6 nights - is a quite that much better than a free standing cabin? Are there any social activities?

Breakfast and dinner, as well as horseback rides, are included in the Jenny Lake Lodge Signature Stay package. You can find more details at https://www.gtlc.com/lodges/jenny-lake-lodge. Our Reservations team would be happy to talk you through all of…

The water is so clear. An incredible day with a high 70's and a mild cool breeze, made it a perfect day. You could see pockets of snow in the mountain valleys and an incredibly clear day. The leaves are turning and the yellows and reds are exploding. We spotted deer, bald eagles, hawks and martins. It was a spectacular weekend in Grand Teton National Park and the fall colors only added to the beauty. If you have a chance, get to the Grand Tetons for a glance at Roosevelt's dream of the beauty of the USA.

Jenny Lake boating, Colter Bay Village visitor's center, and Jackson Lake Lodge were all closed. The latter two even had all the restrooms boarded up! Bummer, especially since the weather was still super nice, sunny and 75°. Some of our favorite stops were Mormon Row, Cunningham Cabin Historic Site, Signal Mountain Summit, and Jenny Lake. The 42-mile Scenic Loop is a must and covers most of the park. There are many turnout and overlooks along the way with gorgeous views. My favorite visitor's center was the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center. It had everything...a museum with exhibits, gift shop, large restrooms, ranger information desk, and a big lobby area for sitting and enjoying the mountain range view through large windows. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this national park. We would highly recommend!

We had a party of three generations -- two sets of grandparents in their 70s, parents, and 2 grandkids ages 4 and 2. Ana was accommodating to all ages, complete with teddy bears at the ready for the kids, snacks, drinks, fancy water bottles (to keep!) and the tour hadn't even started. Ana has a great depth of knowledge to share and tailored the tour of the Tetons for our attention spans and needs (we have little legs that need lots of exercise, some of the older folks can't do too much walking). Everybody was happy on this tour and it was definitely a highlight. We saw plenty of wildlife and went to places we would not have known about on our own. I absolutely would recommend Ana's tour to anyone I know and will definitely return to tour with her in the future. She is a classy guide with attention to detail and professionalism that is second to none.

At the last minute, I had tacked on an extra day and really wanted to do one night under the stars. So I booked a night here through Recreation.gov. Jenny Lake Campground is a really beautiful campground. The campground hosts were really nice and gave me lots of information about the area. I had limited gear because I flew in and they directed me to a couple spots where I could do some shopping for food and supplies. Jenny Lake Campground is a small 51 site campground that is a few hundred yards from the east shore of Jenny Lake. No trailers, campers, or generators are allowed. It is tent camping only which I loved because it made it so peaceful. Maximum per site is two tents, one vehicle, and six guests for up to seven nights. There are food storage lockers on hand because bear activity is frequent in this campground. I'm a big outdoorsman and really enjoyed my night camping here. It was nice and quiet and I had great views of the Grand Teton mountain range. It did get a little chilly overnight because it was raining when I arrived. But my overall experience was wonderful.

So dust off the old Kelty and prepare for a more primitive experience. No generators, no RV's, just tents. This is a very desired campground. Reservations are usually made well in advance. If you're flexible watch for cancelations. That's what we did. So one thing to be aware of is this is an area that is frequented by lots of wildlife. On our visit we saw deer and fox. But bears are around as well. So food must be kept in your vehicle or the provided metal storage box. Dishes are washed in camp and then you dump the dirty water and debris in the toilet. This is though if your are in one of the spots that's away from the single bathroom facility. Phone service is ok to poor to non existent depending on your carrier. I had an ATT phone and Verizon. Verizon is a no go. ATT had service in the campsites near the restroom. Most people (including myself), want to get away from the internet and phones. But if you need to be in contact for work or whatever plan ahead. Finally, this is a prime location in one of the more beautiful spots on earth. Staying here puts you right at the base of the Tetons and within walking distance of the Jenny Lake visitors center. Jackson is 30 min away and Yellowstone is 1.5 hrs or so. Sit back, relax and enjoy.
