Do NOT reserve site 1. There r no trees or shade as advertised. We had to switch and beg for a refund. And still pay for the new site.

Paid $12 per adult (prices went up slightly this year but WELL worth it in my opinion). The gentleman who runs the place was incredibly kind and lent me his personal towel as I forgot to pack my own. The water temperature was 92 degrees. The pool was quiet, only a few families and couples. Probably the most unique thing we did on our vacation. Tips: - the last 10 miles of the road is unpaved through a mountain and quite bumpy - I get motion sickness so we drove quite slowly - bring your own towel

You'll travel south from Jackson to the Hoback Junction, traffic circle 3/4 turn. Take US 191 12 miles until you reach gravel/dirt Granite Creek Road taking a left. Do not go by the Yelp address listed as it's incorrect, and I haven't been able to find the specific address. Be prepared for an 11 mile bumpy ride while viewing gorgeous Granite Creek running through the Gros Ventura Mountains in the Bridger Teton National Forest. At the end of the road Granite Springs pool awaits you. Check for current pricing before you go, only open in summer (by car) and winter (by snowmobile, skis or dog sled). Also, important to note, you'll have no cell service within this area. Soak your cares away while enjoying the gorgeous Mountain View and the evergreen forest.

At the last minute, I had tacked on an extra day and really wanted to do one night under the stars. So I booked a night here through Recreation.gov. Jenny Lake Campground is a really beautiful campground. The campground hosts were really nice and gave me lots of information about the area. I had limited gear because I flew in and they directed me to a couple spots where I could do some shopping for food and supplies. Jenny Lake Campground is a small 51 site campground that is a few hundred yards from the east shore of Jenny Lake. No trailers, campers, or generators are allowed. It is tent camping only which I loved because it made it so peaceful. Maximum per site is two tents, one vehicle, and six guests for up to seven nights. There are food storage lockers on hand because bear activity is frequent in this campground. I'm a big outdoorsman and really enjoyed my night camping here. It was nice and quiet and I had great views of the Grand Teton mountain range. It did get a little chilly overnight because it was raining when I arrived. But my overall experience was wonderful.

So dust off the old Kelty and prepare for a more primitive experience. No generators, no RV's, just tents. This is a very desired campground. Reservations are usually made well in advance. If you're flexible watch for cancelations. That's what we did. So one thing to be aware of is this is an area that is frequented by lots of wildlife. On our visit we saw deer and fox. But bears are around as well. So food must be kept in your vehicle or the provided metal storage box. Dishes are washed in camp and then you dump the dirty water and debris in the toilet. This is though if your are in one of the spots that's away from the single bathroom facility. Phone service is ok to poor to non existent depending on your carrier. I had an ATT phone and Verizon. Verizon is a no go. ATT had service in the campsites near the restroom. Most people (including myself), want to get away from the internet and phones. But if you need to be in contact for work or whatever plan ahead. Finally, this is a prime location in one of the more beautiful spots on earth. Staying here puts you right at the base of the Tetons and within walking distance of the Jenny Lake visitors center. Jackson is 30 min away and Yellowstone is 1.5 hrs or so. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

My friends and I rented a Honey Bear cabin, and it was the perfect size for the five of us. Inside, there is a sink and mini fridge, and lots of pots/pans/plates to use. No stove, but that was fine by us. They provided a grill outside, which we used to grill some brats one night. The rest of the time, we just used my Coleman stove and cooked on one of the picnic tables outside our cabin. The staff here were so friendly and helpful, which I've found to be a trend in Jackson in general. Every night, they would come around and light a campfire (a gas campfire) for us, which was lots of fun to sit around and enjoy. The campground itself is very well maintained, it was super clean and pretty. The layouts of the cabins made it really easy to chat and connect with others staying at the campground, since we all shared a common area to cook and sit by the fire. Overall, I really really enjoyed this place. It's a great price (comparatively) if you're looking to visit Jackson/the Tetons but avoid the super high prices of places you may find located right in Jackson. I had no issue with driving a little extra to save a bit of $$. I would definitely stay here again.

They light fires every night and it has a nice feel to it. The cabin was tight for the 4 of us, but it was cozy and we all slept great. We were at the Tetons and in Jackson most of the time anyhow. It is about 15 minutes from Jackson. It's right on the snake river and walking down there was a treat. The place is very quiet and the water pressure in the shower was GREAT! I'd stay here again!

I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW THE CAMP HOST WAS SO VERY RUDE! The grounds were fine, but the incident…read morethat occurred at Juniper Campground in Ririe, Idaho, on the evening of Saturday, September 13, 2025 left a very bitter taste in our mouths about the trip. What was intended to be a joyful family outing turned into a distressing experience due to the conduct of the camp host. My father-in-law and his wife had made a reservation at Juniper Campground for the weekend and invited my family to join them--myself, my two sons, and our grandchildren. We were all excited to spend quality time together and to try out our newly purchased travel trailers. As first-time trailer owners, this was meant to be a fun and educational experience before the camping season ended. Unfortunately, I had previously purchased concert tickets for an event at Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls scheduled for Saturday evening. My sons and I decided to briefly leave the campground to attend the concert and return afterward. We left in the early evening and returned around 10:20 PM. Upon arrival, we found the second entry gate--through which we had originally entered--locked with a padlock. We then drove to the first gate, which had rising arms and red LED lights, but it did not respond. I exited the vehicle to search for an intercom or manual override, but found none. While attempting to look up a contact number, a white truck with an orange cone in the back approached rapidly. The driver, who identified himself as the camp host, immediately confronted me in an aggressive and profane manner. He shouted, "What the hell are you doing at my gate?" I calmly explained that we were campers returning from a concert and were trying to re-enter the campground. He responded with hostility, saying, "The gates are locked at 10 PM. Didn't you read the rules?" I replied that we had not received any rules, as my 78-year-old father-in-law had checked in first and inadvertently failed to pass them along while we were focused on setting up our trailers. The host continued to berate me, accusing me of lying and using profanity such as "Bullsh*t, everybody receives the rules." When asked for our campsite number, I was momentarily unsure, as my father-in-law had directed us to our spot upon arrival. While I searched for the information, the host continued to question our motives, saying, "Why are you leaving and returning to the campsite this time of night?" I explained our concert plans, only to be met with further disbelief and ridicule. He mocked my Van Halen t-shirt and claimed, "Nobody goes camping to leave for a concert," and "Those bands sucked. The last time I saw Van Halen was in 1979." At this point, I attempted to clarify our situation, but the host warned me that if I raised my voice, he would not allow us back into the campground. After locating a screenshot of our reservation details, I showed it to him. He finally allowed us entry and handed me a printed copy of the rules, stating, "Next time, read the rules." This interaction left me feeling humiliated, belittled, and treated as though I were a criminal. The camp host's behavior was not only unprofessional but bordered on harassment. I understand the importance of rules and quiet hours, but they should be enforced with courtesy and respect--not hostility and profanity. I am deeply disappointed by this experience and will not be returning to Juniper Campground. I'm leaving this review to ensure others are aware of the treatment we received. Guests deserve to feel safe and welcomed--not intimidated or verbally abused.
