I went to this place recently as I was in the area and I had no idea they had a TESO life here, so it's definitely a new but pleasant surprise for those who indulge in cute figurines/keychains/cosmetic products/Asian snacks and beverages, etc. As it was my birthday when I went with my SO, i got treated to a cute Lulu the piggy blind box keychain (pictured)!!!! I literally loved the whole collection they had as it was my first time seeing it and now I can't wait to come back lol. An overstimulating experience, starting in the parking lot and into the store. There's so many fun things to see ranging from blind boxes, key chains, snacks, skincare and make up, kitchen things, just A LOT of everything. It's definitely an experience you'd want to experience yourself, so I didn't take many pictures but it felt like I was in Asia. The prices were ok, but people were loading up on items. The check out line was so long and there's so many crying kids with a basketful of treats wanting more! Overall, I don't know how I managed to go in and not buy a single item! I think it was just too much for me, and too crowded for me to want to be in the store for longer than 30 min. read more

Went on 1/21 (three days after grand opening weekend) around 3pm and there were no lines outside or at checkout! It is definitely huge with something for everyone- skincare, makeup, blind boxes, stationery, snacks and drinks.. they've got it all. I was actually pretty impressed with the pricing of everything. I thought overall they were decent and fair (definitely cheaper than Marufuji) plus for the selection and getting to see in person... i think it's a great stop to grab a few things. I will say I wish there was a larger variety of Korean makeup and skincare brands... but I suppose in Centreville there are plenty of other competitors. The store has variety of fantastic products that were not available at other Korean and Asian stores. They have Korean, Japanese, and Chinese toys, gachas (random toys), cosmetics, snacks, sodas, etc. I don't have kids, but I recommend parents don't go there with kids. Kids will ask pretty much everything in the store. Workers answered my questions and their products are a bit pricey, but confirmed that products were cheaper than Amazon. read more

I was honestly surprised by how big this place is. I had so much fun just walking down the aisles and browsing all the different things they carry. They have a little bit of everything--cute crafts, toys, Asian snacks, and household essentials, similar to what you might find at Daiso, and more. There are also shelves filled with Asian skincare and cosmetics, plus los of fun and quirky items you didn't even know you needed haha. It's the kind of store where you go in for one thing and end up exploring every aisle. Honestly, it's a dangerous place to bring kids because there are so many fun things to look at (and ask for) . After leaving Spa World, I wanted to check them out. I had no idea it was going to insanely packed. You would of thought there was a celebrity in there. Lots of cute toys and trinkets. Lots of cute Hello Kitty and friends stuff. Lots of snacks and im be honest with yall. They are overpriced and you can get most of the snacks cheaper at H-mart. They have household items and K beauty products, which I love, some of the prices are reasonable. Because they are new , the check out lines were insanely long. We had so much fun visiting this store back in January. We popped in after a day at the neighboring spa and ended up spending like an hour inside. So many childhood memories flooded back to being a kid in Orange County, frequenting the Sanrio store with my Tita and god-sister. I could EASILY spend two hours here. So much good skincare. So many good snacks (some overpriced but it's cool) and so many random knick-knacks and home goods! We left with a few really cute panda plates and bowls, a thing to fry a perfectly round egg, a glass measuring cup/reusable container and a few other items. Got some gross ketchup chips, too. I went here last Monday and they still had some Smiski and Sonny Angel blind boxes, although they limited to one per person per purchase. Clean location and nice staff and plenty of skin care and treats at somewhat reasonable prices. It is located in one of the busier plazas near H Mart and other businesses so I can imagine that it gets really crowded there. You could make a whole day out of it. read more

My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday around opening, and the place was already packed! It was our first time coming here. I would've taken pictures but basically every aisle had multiple people in there. Upon entering, there is a beauty section and had a wide variety of make up. There was also a craft? and blind box section with a pretty large variety! I'm not too big into blind boxes, but there were some that I've never seen before. They also had Smiski and Sonny's Angels which you could only get one. (Either one Smiski or one Sonny's Angel). I felt like you could get most of the snacks and drinks from your local Asian grocery store but they did have a lot more themed snacks, like snacks with Pokemon, Sanrio, etc. They had shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and skin care sections. There was a variety of brands for all of them, and it's nice to be able to try some of them before purchasing. Prices were not bad at all and comparable to purchasing online. Though online stores tend to have discounts, and I'm not sure if Teso Life does discounts. Still if you have a certain routine or only need one item, purchasing here isn't a bad option! Home goods section had plates, bowls, mugs, silverware, chopsticks, cleaning supplies, towels and more. The plates, bowls, and mugs were super cute. Checkout line was long but it moved quickly since there were lots of staff. They did charge 10 cents for a bag. came here with a friend for their grand opening! I waited outside for an hour before we could go in. it was freezing when we went, but my husband took the kids to Tous Les Jours and got me a matcha latte while I waited outside. my friend finally showed up when we got closer to the door and we all huddled together for warmth. when we got to the front door, the girl at the front door was.....less than....ideal. she kept snapping at people in the line telling people to move to one side...then told everyone to get to the other side. then loudly announced she was over this because she has been here since the morning. well, I'm sorry for doing exactly what you wanted. besides that incident, my kids were super excited. we grabbed a bunch of items they wanted & waited another 40 minutes to check out. we received our freebies with our purchase & bought some tokens for the claw machine. we actually won 4 medium size plushies from the machine and the kids were super excited. all in all, the store was great to shop at. My friend and I wanted to visit Teso Life because of all the hype we heard about it. When you walk in, on the left side from front to back, it's all toys. Then there's a large section of snacks and candy. On the right side of the store, there are home supplies and bath and body products. We got a good chuckle because I'm not sure how they categorize everything, but right next to the men's face wash, you'll also find female and male sex toys. I can't read Japanese, so we had to Google a lot of things to understand what they were. That was pretty funny. The value of each item, I guess, depends-- we had just left the Korean market, where similar items were cheaper. They are compared to the Japanese store, so it's just whatever you're aiming for-- you have to double-check if they inflated the prices a lot. Came here on a weekend late at night maybe one hour before closing. Lots of snow and ice outside so we figured it wouldn't be busy but it was busyyy. There was a checking line that wrapped around most of the store. Took us about 20 minutes to check out but the line moved efficiently considering how many people were in line. My daughter picked out a lot of toys and collectibles that she wanted and I grabbed some unique snacks. I've been to the TESO life in NY and one in Rockville. This one is huge compared to those. A great addition to Centreville! Most of the snacks you can also find at Hmart, but it is nice to have a one stop shop when wanting to buy other things. They have a great selection of everything: blind boxes, toys, candy, chips, ramen, drinks, household items, hair/skincare, makeup! I attended the grand opening of Teso Life and overall, the store itself was beautiful -- clean, well organized, and full of great products. You can tell a lot of effort went into creating a pleasant shopping experience, and for that, I give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly dampened by one particular employee stationed at the front directing traffic and managing the lines. The woman with black curly hair was shockingly rude and unwelcoming. Instead of greeting customers or showing any basic courtesy, she repeatedly complained about how she had "been working all day." While I understand retail is exhausting, that does not excuse treating paying customers poorly. We were all standing outside in 20-degree weather waiting patiently to support the store's opening. None of us chose to be rude -- yet we were met with unnecessary attitude and disrespect. Customer service should never feel hostile, especially on a grand opening day when first impressions matter most. I truly hope management addresses this because the store has so much potential. I love the selection in this store and I know it's new but I ordered a cake roll in their frozen food section and I was eating it(I will say it was good) and I found a super sharp hard plastic piece inside of the cake and almost ate it, I had to spit it out. So If I were you I'd eat their cakes and stuff a little more carefully. read more

We were excited to come here but after more than a month after the grand opening there are still plenty of people coming here. As usual the good stuff are gone and not replenished because of course they want to sell out what's on the shelves first. Some items are cheaper but definitely a lot of the items are more expensive than other places. Skincare and makeup definitely more expensive than getting them online. Just a handful of Korean skincare. Maybe it'll get better in the next few months. I hope they bring in more items that actual people in Japan buy or use and not the viral stuff you see on TikTok or YouTube. read more

Good for what it is worth. There is food at T.L. but mostly prepackaged snacks and caffeine free/Zero Coca-Cola. Yum! My child was very grabby for the toys and I was, "oh, good we can get that later." What I was here for was for some metal chopsticks which they did have with other Japanese inspired home goods.
