If I could give a minus 100 I certainly would. I've been sitting here for 3 hours waiting for them to take a bumper of a car off. I got here at 8:00 a.m. and there's still messing around. They knew about having to take the bumper off because they had pictures and specific notation on what was wrong. What's perplexing is they won't offer you a ride home, they won't give you a car for you to go home. They expect someone else to pick you up and drop you off or for you to sit here. I have asked three times about the wait and they have said not much longer. If you were at a Hyundai dealer, Honda dealer, Toyota dealer, or anywhere else they will send you home with a Lyft or Uber. But Not here! Apparently Tesla is more important than other dealers so they make their customers sit and wait. Horrible . Just horrible customer service. Just to clarify the issue has nothing to do with the service advisors, but it has to do with the so-called service technicians that don't seem to understand how to estimate something. read more

Tesla had a special on their website for a Model 3 premium lease at $299 a month good through 12/26. My wife and I went in on 12/20 with the screenshot showing the deal good through 12/26. However, we were informed that the deal had ended early on 12/19. Seriously? Now they want $499 a month for the same deal. Let me start by saying that based on my experience with this service center, I would never purchase another Tesla. In November 2025, the high-voltage battery on my Tesla Model Y failed. At the time, the vehicle was less than two years old and had fewer than 14,000 miles. I brought the vehicle to this service center, where the battery was replaced under warranty. However, immediately after receiving the vehicle back, I noticed a significant reduction in range. I performed a battery health test, which showed only 87% battery retention on a replacement battery installed in a vehicle with less than 14,000 miles and less than two years of use. I contacted the service center seeking an explanation as to why a replacement battery with such low retention had been installed. Unfortunately, after numerous conversations, none of the advisors could provide a clear answer. Many responses were short, dismissive, or simply directed me to the owner's manual instead of addressing my concerns. After multiple requests, I was finally able to speak with Service Manager Stephanie Clark (stepclark@tesla.com) and Service Supervisor Luis Holguin (luholguin@tesla.com) in December 2025. During that conversation, they explained that battery cells can take time to calibrate and adapt, and they advised me to continue driving the vehicle for several thousand miles. I was told that if I still had concerns afterward, I should contact them again so their engineering team could review updated diagnostic data and compare it to the original results. I followed their recommendation. Six months later, after several thousand additional miles, I noticed no meaningful improvement. I performed a second battery health test, which showed 86% retention--essentially unchanged from the original result. I immediately contacted the service center to request the follow-up review that had been discussed. Instead of receiving assistance, I was transferred to Tesla Customer Support. The representative informed me that all they could do was schedule a service appointment. Meanwhile, despite sending multiple emails to Stephanie Clark (stepclark@tesla.com), I never received a response. Throughout this process, I repeatedly explained that my concern was not simply whether the battery qualified for another warranty replacement. I fully understood Tesla's position regarding the 70% warranty threshold. My concern was that Tesla installed a replacement battery with significantly lower retention than what Tesla's own published battery-retention data would suggest for a vehicle of this age and mileage. I requested documentation or an explanation of how Tesla determined that this battery was an appropriate replacement. I never received a direct answer to those questions. Instead, I was repeatedly told that the battery would not be replaced again unless it fell below Tesla's warranty threshold or generated a fault. That response completely ignored the actual questions I was asking. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication and follow-through from management. Stephanie Clark specifically told me to contact her again if I still had concerns after driving the vehicle for several thousand miles. When I did exactly that, my emails went unanswered. From my perspective, the commitment she made was never honored. The advisors ultimately directed me back to Customer Support, while management failed to respond despite repeated attempts to communicate. As a result, I was left without answers, without transparency, and without confidence in the service provided. I am extremely disappointed with how Tesla and the management team at this location handled this situation. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer care has been frustrating from start to finish. If Tesla management would like to review this matter, they can start by reviewing the communications sent to Stephanie Clark (stepclark@tesla.com) and Luis Holguin (luholguin@tesla.com), which remain largely unanswered despite multiple follow-up attempts. read more

This was my first experience owning a Tesla, and unfortunately my first experience with the service center was extremely disappointing. I purchased an aftermarket battery before realizing that Tesla vehicles must be serviced with Tesla parts. When I brought my car in, I was told the service center would install a Tesla battery and return my aftermarket battery to me so that I could return it. After the service was completed, I was later informed that the service center recycled my aftermarket battery without my consent or prior notice. As a result, I am now out nearly $500 for a battery I was explicitly told I would get back. This situation came down to poor communication and lack of accountability. As a first-time Tesla owner, I relied on what I was told by the service team, and their mistake ended up costing me money with no resolution offered. I expected better transparency and professionalism from Tesla's service department. Unfortunately, this experience has left me very frustrated and disappointed. read more

If there was a negative star that would the rating for Tesla's service employee JOSH. My wife came to drop off our car that was scheduled and pretty much was rude and told her that our car doesn't have anymore warranty and that we are shit out of luck because our year can't get anymore warranty and told her to leave. First off maintenance for a coolant doesn't need to use warranty , 2nd before telling my wife to leave ... ask the right questions ... she was trying to tell this JOSH guy that was also STONED by the way that we do have an extended warranty and that we don't need a warranty for a coolant. My wife was so upset and embarrassed bec he was rude in front of everyone and made her look stupid. I called the Manager and I kid you not , your service staff needs some training, needs to learn how to ask the right questions and I cannot stress that enough. I expect top notch service not just bec it's a Tesla instead of making you feel like shit leaving there. Something needs to be done with your service guy Josh because I will make sure that everyone and anyone knows how shitty the service Josh did. Had to take my car in to get a recall done. I had also noticed a small leak in my window the last time it rained so they were going to check that out too. You have to submit all your work orders via the app which can sometimes be frustrating as you can't talk to a service person through it unless they message you first which is a little annoying. I do have they're direct phone number so if I really wanted I could just call them. Got a phone call the day before my appointment just to verify everything. I was supposed to be set up with a loaner but was told they had no idea I needed one, but when my appointment was set up I was told I'd get one. They wanted to just give me Uber credits that just don't work where I live plus I need to transport my grandkids back and forth and Uber credits wouldn't work for that either. It was Victor that called me and I explained my situation and that Uber credits wouldn't work for me here and he made a loaner happen. I have to say that the few times I've had to go there I've always had a good experience. read more

Everyone is nice here, they are very straightforward about prices and things that need to be done on your car and the lounge is very nice. What I like is that they don't try to sell you superfluous services your car does not need. Sometimes they also adjusted small stuff as a courtesy, free of charge. I love my Tesla! Got a worst possible experience. Vehicle was kept in service mode overnight, which disables all security and locks. And got broke in and all my personal belongings got stolen. Now if I want to claim for this break in, I have to pay deductible from my pocket and possible impact on premiums. And I have to spend lot of time to buy my necessary personal belongings again. Little bit of carefulness would've avoided this incident. People come here for service, not get robbed. Heard it happen to other vehicles too, Please be careful for now onwards at least. I took delivery of a new $90,000 model X from this center in June 2018. I regret this purchase and DO NOT recommend the model X. I believe most of the issues stem from rushed production, cheap materials and cutting corners. Our sales guy said we'd never be in the service center. He said unlike combustion engine vehicles there is just less stuff to break on a Telsa and less overall service needed so I would rarely have to take it in for service. After owning the car for 3+ years nothing could be further from the truth. My husband and I have had to take it in for service more than a dozen times and that doesn't include all the mobile services calls where they worked on the car in our driveway. The model x has given me more issues than 2 Fords and 1 BMW I previously owned COMBINED. One of the Fords was a used car and the other two cars were convertibles. Owning this car has been very time consuming and a huge hassle but Tesla has covered the cost to fix most of these issues because it's under warranty. I'm nervous because the warranty expires in June 2022. After that I'll have to pay for all the issues that pop up. And they pop up frequently! I recently requested that Tesla provide the extended service agreement free of charge. I would still have to pay a deductible but that would at least help the car from turning into more of a money pit. Tesla declined. I will request it again in the spring and will update this review with Tesla's final decision. Below are SOME issues experienced with the model X: - After owning the car less than a week the leather on the back bench began to fall off and an entire new leather wrap for the back bench had to be ordered. So wasteful. Took weeks to receive it. - Windshield wipers didn't work at delivery. Fluid line was never connected and not checked before delivery. - After only 3 years the paint on the front and hood were completely chipped and covered with dozens of dings [Photos of clean car posted] I had to spend $2,500 to get it repainted and $1,500 to apply a clear bra to prevent it from happening again. Tesla blamed this on the rocks on Arizona roads but I bought a new BMW here in the Valley and it didn't have any paint dings or chips after 3 years. Ask any autobody shop and they will tell you, when measuring the mill (millimetre) thickness of paint most cars measure at 14. Tesla's measure at 6! Thin cheap paint is to blame for this! - Tires on a model X are only good for 20,000 miles!!! I wish we had been warned prior to having a blowout on the way home from San Diego. We had to be towed from Dateland, AZ to Discount Tire in Phoenix. We assumed it was a nail and were shocked when Discount Tire said it wasn't safe to let us drive off without replacing ALL FOUR TIRES. Was even more shocked when I reached out to Tesla and was told that is normal for the model X. For reference, most vehicles only need new tires every 50,000 - 60,000 miles. - Roof rattled when driving, they couldn't fix it so a new headliner had to be ordered (took months to receive) - Rearview camera sometimes has an intermittent green line - Somtimes the car goes completely black while driving -- no navigation sound, no camera, speed limit, display, etc. - Camera was stuck on bottom of screen (safety issue!) - Charge port intermittent failure to close so port had to be replaced - Passenger gull-wing door interior rattling and passenger visor rattling. Both had to be replaced. - Driver visor broke and magnet fell out - Exterior front wheel liner popped out - Rear passager door handle randomly fell off while driving - No WiFi, music or touch to speak. Had to replace the entire screen and it was in the shop for 3 days. read more

Another solid experience with Tesla. I was here with my son to pick up his new car when I had trouble with one of my doorhandles on my car. The delivery specialist said, "no problem, just pull into the service area". He was right, within an hour they had fixed the door for me at no charge. These guys just totally understand customer service and I will be a customer for life. read more

I wanted to give some love to my friends at Tesla Tempe. This is a great service center. I drive to this particular location for my service despite the Scottsdale location being closer to me. They are very thorough. They communicate well. They did not release my vehicle until all of the issues were resolved. I had a very difficult wheel alignment and they ultimately replaced the tires and did a lot of work to ensure the car drove well. This was all covered under my warranty. I have to give special recognition to my service manager Jacob, who did an amazing job. However, all of the service managers are great here. The service team is friendly and approachable. I've been to both locations, this is my preferred location by far. I highly recommend making the drive and picking up and having your Tesla serviced here. read more

I have been going to this location for two years now. I enjoy the ease of speaking to some one at the location. I have never been turned away without some kind of answer. August 2020 Martin helped me (service department). He was courteous and listened to my concerns. He completed a through work order for my car. He was nice enough to check on a courtesy loaner vehicle for me also. 3 days later my car was ready to pick up. I had ample notice to arrange my ride up there to pick up my car. I know the place is doing more business then before (thanks Model 3 owners) but give the guys a break. They are working in a new era (Covid) and need to deal with our broken cars still. Not only do they have to fix them they have to keep themselves safe. I have seen little change in their attentiveness and/or communication. Make an appointment via your phone. Fill it out properly. If need more details on repair type it in. When you arrive make sure the work order represents what you need repaired. Let them know when you need to cancel or move the appointment. Expect a large delay in service if you just show up with out an appointment. Key to getting in to service is to make a plan. Just my thoughts. Happy charging!!! read more

I have a 2018 with 100,000 miles i had a couple stuff fixed on the tesla. Let me tell you, when i looked into getting a tesla i heard horror stories about their customer service and just service work in general. Literally every experience i've had AT THIS LOCATION It's been nothing but great service. I've had horrible service at toyota with my other car but this place is the best. Schedule on the app show up drop your card off boom they working on it, boom they send you the invoice to approve (scope of work) then boom your out AND they give you a uber pass. I just bought the Tesla model X in December 2019. Literally my dream car for the last 5 years and the car has been pretty cool. Definitely had some malfunctions from the moment I bought it like the back camera not working and not getting the charging kit. Where I have truly been crossed, hoodwinked, and bamboozled by tesla and their HORRIBLE customer service. Is I had to put $15k down which I did. After a month of having the car I began getting threatening calls and letters saying I needed to pay $11k MORE and that the agreement I signed was null and void. So I paid the extra money and now they just sent me another bill for $3,688 saying I'm past due! Unbelievable these guys don't care about their customers like they used to when Elon was in. Every company has to make a dollar and I want companies to make money, but at the expense of bait and switching your customers that is FOUL Never again in my life will I buy another Tesla no matter how cool they are read more

Got a quote last week for a wheel alignment and they quoted me $165. Sounds reasonable so I approved. Get a call the day before service and they inform the price is actually $215 and they misquoted me. No offer of a discount and can't talk to anyone about it. Can't take to another shop because Tesla won't give them the specs. You are basically at the will of whatever the service center wants to charge and you have no other options. DO NOT BUY A TESLA. I regret owning one almost every day that I have owned it. The cars are so poorly made for the price it's not even funny. Tesla lost a costumer today. I have wanted a Tesla for many years. I purchased a model 3 after my mother passed and left me a little money. The vehicle i purchased needed one part and Tesla refused to sell the $21 part. The vehicle doesn't drive due to this part having failed so I cant register the car but the managers at this location did not care. I can't see how an EV company is making it so hard to keep there cars on the road. This doesn't seem to be very responsible. I have obsessed over this car for 3 years and now I'm sad to say good bye really before any joy could be had. I also sold my 1 share of Tesla stock today and will just move on. Hopefully Elon will reevaluate the parts policy as "used cars are real cars too" and deserve the best parts available. read more

Spent $3500 to have my cars AC replaced and the actuator on the door replaced went to pick it up and the door would now not close (not the issue previously) manager refused to acknowledge that they may have culpability in the new issue and basically said eh things break not my problem. Additionally they had left my car key in my car parked in the unsecured lot for days on end while it waited for me to pick it up. Basically use any other service center if you can! read more

I set up an appointment last week for mobile service to fix a seat problem. I had to re schedule appointments to wait for them only to find out they canceled the service because they didn't have the parts for the recall-THE APPOINTMENT WAS NOT FOR a recall! And there was no notification of the cancellation until I dug into the app! So totally ticked off about this! Now I have to wait another week IF they don't decide to cancel the mobile repair again for an unrelated reason! Update: nope, now they rescheduled to two weeks out stating they need parts for the seat-THEY DON'T even know if the seat needs parts as they haven't looked at the car to see what the issue is- they didn't even acknowledge the reason they canceled the appointment had NOTHING to do with the actual requested service! read more

I was visiting AZ on a roadtrip from San Diego and my Model 3 gave the 12 V battery replacement error. In the morning, it stopped working so I got it towed to the tesla service center. Jacob was my advisor and he has been very very very helpful. He was able to get me a Model X loaner as I requested while my car was being repaired (Monday-Wed), and kept me updated about my car throughout the service from the Tesla app. I had a great experience and everything was covered under my warranty. This is a two part review. If I had to rate the on-site service center in Tempe, I'd give it 0 stars. Every time I'm at this location, I've had a negative experience. Ever since the model 3 came out, the customer service has downhill dramatically. I can only assume everyone who works at the tempe location is burnt out and hates their job. I don't expect world class service because it's a Tesla, but I get better customer service at McDonalds. To save you a bunch a time, here are the biggest issues: - Don't call or e-mail them. They don't respond to emails nor phone calls... Almost every single time I've had to call them, nobody answers the phone. I've sent emails to azservice@ before, no responses. - Rental cars... Sometime over the last year or two they stopped giving out rental cars and now give you Uber vouchers. While that's nice and all, it's super awkward and a pain to take your kid to school in a uber and now with COVID, every uber pickup is a 30+ minute wait. Every time I ask why they don't do rental cars anymore, I get a different answer. So far, the answers are: Because of Covid, They are only for first responders, They are reserved for repairs that take longer than a day, You have to reserve one ahead of time. I don't think the service advisors even know the real reason because nobody has told me the same reason twice. - Zero followup. Recently I asked why a part has died again when they asked me to pay $3000 to replace the headlights that I replaced a year ago. I was told 'I don't have the answer for you' and then stopped responding... and then told me my vehicle was ready to be picked up. The advisor had no interest in finding someone who could help me get my issue resolved... - Management. I asked for a manager and was told that my service advisor would like to deal with the issue first.... Why wasn't he interested in dealing with it prior to me asking? Apparently they don't like things escalated to their manager. When they wouldn't respond to me about my headlight, I asked for a manager again and they said 'I'll have one on standby for you when you get here, see you soon'. Um... I want to talk to a manager because I want my vehicle fixed. I don't want to have to come to the service center to talk to a manager. I ended up getting a hold of their service management (Natalie & Thai) who were nice and took the time to understand my concern and I was able to finally get my vehicle fixed.... but it should have never got to that point. It sounded like Natalie and Thai were new to the management team there, so I hope they can turn this location around. Lastly, I'm rating this a 3, because the mobile service team is amazing. Every single time I've had them come out, they have always been really good about communication, on-time and get things fixed right away. Joe from the mobile team came out today, fixed my issue and went beyond the scope of his job to make sure I was happy. I wish I had the same experience with the on-site location as I do the mobile team... as the mobile team only does basic repairs. Thankfully Tesla makes amazing vehicles which hardly break down... but every time I have an issue, I really dread having to bring it in because I know it's going to be a bad experience.... I really hope they can turn it around. read more

All I can say is don't trust your servie advisor. My advisor Carlos basically told me one thing and did another. I was given an estimate but the service that was done was not what was promise. I later asked about it and one of advisor said it was stated in the invoice. I asked to speak to Carlos but of course he denied any of the conversations we had. Awesome delivery experience! Needed a service appointment a few months later for a windshield replacement and some other minor issues. The service department was phenomenal! Jared my service advisor took time to look over the issues in the shop with me and offer suggestions and solutions instead of objections and problems.
