After a lot of back-and-forth and prompting on my part to look into the warranty history on the vehicle, it turned out that she had already had the service done at the dealership closer to our house. When I asked if they bothered to reach out to their customers to let them know that such services were necessary warranties were about to run out the service manager, said "we do our best". Will not be ever returning here for service in the future.

You'll pay a small fortune for a diagnostic ($190 to check engine light…read morecode and $190 hour to check anything else ) and a larger fortune on fixing an issue if you pay their quote. My car was there all day with nothing fixed. $330 for just diagnostics, which was indeed the quote I was given and something I knew I'd be paying. That's on me but driving away with a car in the same exact condition and several hundreds out is its own unique sinking and foolish feeling. The quotes for the work to fix things were astronomical. I felt like I was being taken and made other calls to other neighborhood mechanics. Every single call was 40% - 50% less and in less time.

A man called me later that morning to say to come by with a key and they'll take a look at it on Monday and call me with an estimate. I never get a call with an estimate, when I called to check on my car, I was simply told they had found and fixed the problem and it would cost about $200. After paying $120 for a battery (What is that, 100% markup?!) plus $75 for labour, they said the car was ready to pick up. Took the bus there, drove my car less than 1 mile, AND THE CAR DIED AGAIN!! They hadn't diagnosed it properly and simply assumed it was the battery! They towed the car back and ended up charging me an additional $300 (including tax) for a new ignition coil (again... 100% markup?!) and labour. We don't believe it would have cost us $500 if they would have found the problem the first time. They also wasted our time to bus there - once only to fork over $200 and have the car die right after then have to walk the rest of the way home, then bus back hours later just to pay another $300. After this experience, I would say avoid Gus Coopers Services because they wasted my time and I felt over they overcharged me for the parts.

I've taken my car to High Road a couple times now for light jobs - you know. Those annoying little…read morethings that you don't want to take to the same place that you go when you need a big job done. In my case the first visit my license plate screws were rusted on so I couldn't get them off to put on new plates. I took it down to High Road and it was taken care of in about an hour. They called me when it was ready, and I came right back over. My second visit again, that light (no pun intended) but annoying job - was literally a light job - changing out brake lights. Yeah I tried to do it myself and it was just frustrating getting the panel off. The technician did them both for me in like 20 minutes. Each of my visits it cost me a little over $35. Steep? Maybe a bit, but I've all but reached that point where these annoying little jobs are worth me paying a few dollars to get done in a few minutes. Especially when the technicians have the tools, the know-how and a garage. Yeah, doing any kind of car work when it's cold and or rainy outside is not fun. Each of my visits, the front staff were very pleasant, and I hear the same when they interact with others via phone or walk ins. It's also very convenient here which is also a plus, right on Leary ave., not hard to miss. The couple snags about High Road is parking is a bit tricky. The parking is usually taken up by other customer cars or nearby patrons of the breweries or other businesses so it's a tricky on a busy day. Also they're closed on weekends. That's a drag because I work all day on Weekdays so it's also tricky getting here at a time that works for me. It's a big letdown. Other than that, I've liked the service I've gotten here and will continue to come back.

When an exhaust senser goes off it doesn't matter if its pre catalytic or post catalytic converter the 1st thing to pull is the oxygen senser in the air intake.If grime is on the senser give it a shot of wd40 or blaster to bring back to shiny,dry off reinstall.In the event this does not end the check engine light then you can start with the 2 sensers in the exhaust down pipe,best to replace both at the same time.End of story.You can buy 4 aftermarket sensers guaranteed to be as good as factory for what they wil l charge you.
