Our plans before were running long but luckily their reservation policies were flexible enough that I had no problem moving my time, even on such a busy day. The restaurant was POPPING when we arrived around 4:30. We were seated promptly. The only downside to our experience was that the table was SUPER shaky and wobbly. We asked our waitress for a shim or piece of paper to steady the table but she informed us it was the table head itself, not the legs, so nothing could be done. I was not thrilled about this but assumed that these were tables they hauled out of storage to accommodate the holiday demand, so I can understand. Our server was very warm and friendly despite the chaos. Prices are on the high side but the quality is good and the portions are large. I went for the lobster cobb which was a special and it was LOADED with lobster meat. They really heaped it on. A little light on the avocado, but overall it was really wonderful. My mother went for a seafood scallop risotto which I also tried. It was creamy and flavorful. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe, and our server was good about getting our check. The carpet was stained in multiple spots but aside from that, everything worked as advertised. While there are several bars/restaurants close by, I opted to stay in since I was beat from a long kayak trip and had another one the next day. Hubby had the burger, which was ok, and we thought it was going to be a handmade burger, but this looked processed. The bun, lettuce, and tomato were fresh and tasty. Scammer! Avoid!! I called Monica when my first bridal makeup trial did not work out (application…read moretoo thick for my dry skin) and asked her to fit me in at the last minute for a trial. I requested a trial with the understanding that she was available to do my makeup for the date of my wedding. She checked her calendar and assured me she was available. I live in another state, so this was my one day in Stroudsburg to do my trial. Literally less than a week later (after I've flown home and cannot do a trial with anyone else) she cancels on me to say she is flying to Aruba! You didn't know you were flying to Aruba 6 days ago!?! You just did my trial to take $85 of my money!! Now, when I call her, it goes straight to voicemail. But her cancellation text said, "Don't worry I have a friend who can take you." Yeah, that friend (Tara Matos) charges over $200!! Also, that friend tried to pawn me off on another stylist the first time I spoke to her. No, thank you. As to her skill, Monica has good technique, but she is obviously a one trick pony. Just check her Instagram. No regard for peoples varying facial features or levels of glam. Huge false strip lashes on everyone (that started coming off on me at the inner corners within an hour). Avoid this makeup artist at all costs!!
