I popped into this location to look for tire chains after not finding them at AutoZone…read more Upon arriving to the parking lot, the store had a homeless man laying at the front door with various personal items in the walk-way to get through. When inside and speaking with the staff, you begin to feel like they are annoyed of you being there. Customer service is lacking and evident. I had a simple request to ask if they had any tire chains in stock and it resulted in an attitude from 2 male employees from what I assume was because they didn't want to check their inventory in the back. All in all, after them not wanting to look up my car in their system or assist in getting the right ones, I felt they could have handled the conversation piece in a better manner. I will not be returning to this location. Do better. Thanks.

Carmax of Stockton is incredible! I found a 2026 Chevy Equinox online, in Arizona. I paid to have…read moreit shipped to the Stockton dealership, and it arrived sooner than estimated. We went in and sat with Gordon to sign all of the paperwork, after taking the car for a test drive. The entire transition went smoothly, especially communications before our signing appointment! We also traded in my 2023 Chevy Equinox and we were pleasantly surprised about the trade-in value we got for my old vehicle! Because my new vehicle came from another state, it did not have a front license plate holder. Carmax contacted me to let me know when the part came in, and scheduled an appointment for me to have it installed. The Service Department put on the plate holder, and put my license plate on for me. They also wiped down the exterior of my car, and filled up my gas tank! While I was waiting for my car, I was in the lobby of the sales center. I was there when a majority of the staff were arriving to start their day, and the floor supervisor (I wish I would have gotten her name!) held a team meeting prior to the start of the day. OH MY GOODNESS....never have I heard such a positive, uplifting, supportive supervisor, than this person! She opened the meeting with kudos to her staff, congratulations to the team for other victories and goals, and then had each department provide an update if needed. I made a point to go up to the superivsor after the meeting adjourned, to let her know I was super impressed with her team leadership. She had the biggest smile and was a bit teary eyed for the appreciation I showed! Carmax of Stockton is superior in all areas of sales, staff, service, and professionalism!

We came here on our way to Yosemite National Park because the…read moreradio was saying that it was mandatory to bring snow chains even though the roads were not too bad....so we decided to buy some just in case. The Napa Auto Parts staff recommended we buy snow cables instead of chains and seemed knowledgeable. We compared prices with a nearby O'Reilly over the phone and O'Reilly's snow cables were about $10 cheaper, but they didn't have the right size in stock so we decided to get them at Napa Auto Parts for $139. We were able to buy them quickly and be on our way. They did allow us to return the snow cables after our trip to the park because we did not end up taking them out and using them at all, but there is a $25 restocking fee for returns.
