This is a great stop to charge your Tesla on any road trip up (or down) the 395. It's easily accessible and there are plenty of well-maintained chargers available. With the 250 kW supercharging units, you'll get good charging speeds. There are quite a few fast food restaurants and other points of interest within walking distance, including a western movie museum, though it can get pretty hot outside. There are also restrooms nearby and several trash cans which many superchargers don't have. There's also an interesting infographic sign which shows you information about Mount Whitney, and some of the surrounding points of interest. Overall, this is one of the better supercharger spots for a place that is basically out in the middle of nowhere.

    Pretty sweet views here :)

I venture to the mountains pretty often and so happy that the city of Lone Pine has a Tesla Supercharging station here. Surprisingly NOT busy at 7AM on a Sunday, as I was powering up before heading back home. ABSOLUTELY thee BEST views in general and of Mount Whitney here. Of course, price charging varies depending on the time of day. McDonalds nearby in walkable distance, but nothing else open this early in the morning.

This is hands down one of my favorite Tesla Superchargers to date! If you're heading to Mammoth Lakes or beyond, make this a stop. Believe it or not, the eight superchargers are maxed out at 250 kWs. What I love is that normally I would just drive through small towns like Lone Pine, but Tesla gives me the opportunity to walk around, explore and support local businesses. The chargers are behind the neat Museum of Western Film History which is donation only and has clean bathrooms for use. Sooo many films were done in this town--who knew?! Tremors, Gladiator, Iron Man, GI Joe and the list goes on. They also have a wonderful gift shop with reasonable gifts and trinkets for all ages. We walked down S Main Street (I-395) and thanks to Yelp, happened upon Lone Pine Smokehouse Texas B-B-Q. There are also several local shops and coffeeshops for a caffeine boost after driving through the uneventful Mojave Desert. Lastly, Mount Whitney (highest point on the West Coast and in the sand the Alabama Hills in the background.

    Best view ever !!

We were blazing up the 395 (by blazing we mean it was over 100 degrees outside) on our way to Mammoth Lakes. Checking the map we saw that there is a supercharger in Lone Pine. Lone Pine has been one of our favorite stops over the years since it is the home to the Whitney Portal. Now we have two reasons for Lone Pine to be a favorite, the Whitney Portal and the superchargers. We drove in and past a rusting horse drawn carriage on display next to the road. Behind the Museum of Western Film History there are 8 superchargers pushing 100kW and 350 mi/hr. Yay! We were happy for this stop to recharge our little blue rocket. Next time we hope to pass this way when the museum is open so that we can check out the western film history exhibits while we are charging.

Great station no wait most days . Peaceful and quiet. Good eatery's near by . Totem is the best restaurant in lone pine in my opinion .

    Supercharger view during creek Fire

Nice enough. Good view good charge on a weekday with no one around. It is next to the western film museum which is closed due to Covid restrictions McDonald is takeout only so no toilet open. You will need to walk to some of the cafés and buy a drink if you need a restroom. It is a cute enough town with food and drink options within walking distance

Black plug in left hole makes the charger inoperative. It's the 1b charger at Lone Pine, Nov 22, 2018

A Tesla charger should have a place to eat and a place to use the restroom. A stinky outhouse is insufficient!

Seven stalls were not working so there was a long wait. This is unacceptable. Poor Tesla service.

Love this station! The museum is so cute and you could easily kill 30 min while you're charging! It's a western film museum

Easy to use. Close to a nice MacDonalds and a skate park. Beautiful views even if you just sit in your car while you charge.
