My family and I were driving home from Mammoth and I suddenly found myself in need of a oil cap. Don't ask. Dave's was the first shop I saw on the way. They were very friendly and helpful but through no fault of their own, the very reasonably priced replacement part they sold me didn't fit. Dave suggested that I stick a rag in the filler hole and gave me a rag (and a full refund). We got home safely. Ramon Sanchez and his co-workers went above and beyond for my daughter and I late on a Saturday afternoon 20 minutes before closing time. We had AAA road side assistance, however not helpful if you have a nail in the tire as they don't patch or provide replacement tires. I will be evaluating how valuable that membership really is going forward. Ramon and his co-workers jacked up the rental car and identified a nail. Pulled the nail and did a patch of the tire and had us on our way in no time. We loved Lone Pine and these guys are top notch. Had they not helped us we would have been stranded until the following Monday or would have had to spend hundreds of dollars (I confirmed) to get an after hours service in Barstow. Kudos guys for going above and beyond. Now that is customer service. read more

My Dad and I were stuck in Lone Pine last November with his 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a bad Alternator. Dave, the owner of the local Napa auto part store ordered us a new one and fabricated a cable with fusible link. That kind of service is rare, except at Dave's Auto parts in Lone pine California.
