He then tried to say that they were so Christian that they could not have done a bad job but I don't think it is Christian to waste time and do a bad job and be rude to your customers. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but after weeks of dealing with this situation, I feel…read moreother motorcycle owners deserve to know what happened. We took our motorcycle to this shop for diagnosis of a warranty-related concern. We did not take it there and tell them to repair whatever they wanted and send us a bill afterward. At no point were we provided a quote for repairs before the work was completed. At no point were we contacted and asked to approve over $1,000 in repairs. At no point did we authorize the labor or parts that were installed. Instead, we were informed the bike was finished and then provided what was labeled as an "estimate" after the repairs had already been completed. An estimate is supposed to help a customer decide whether they want the work performed. It's hard to make that decision when the work has already been done. What makes this even more concerning is that the owner later admitted he could not produce any signed authorization approving the repairs. No signed repair authorization. No signed estimate approval. No email approval. No text approval. Nothing. The owner also stated in writing that it was his decision that the issue was not a warranty concern. Rather than contacting the warranty company before repairs were performed, he made that determination himself and completed the work first. Think about that for a second. The shop found time to diagnose the bike. The shop found time to perform the repairs. The shop found time to install parts. The shop found time to create an invoice. The shop found time to decide the failure wasn't warranty related. But somehow there was never time to call the customer and obtain approval before moving forward. Throughout this process, getting answers and documentation was a battle. We repeatedly requested paperwork and records. We were given changing explanations, references to documents that could not be produced, and excuses instead of clear proof that the repairs had actually been authorized. As business owners ourselves, we understand mistakes happen. What we don't understand is how a shop can complete repairs, present a four-figure bill, and then be unable to provide documentation showing the customer approved the work. If you choose to do business here, protect yourself. Get copies of everything. Get every estimate in writing. Get every authorization in writing. Do not assume you will be contacted before work is performed. We certainly wish we had. For those asking what the issue was... Went in for not starting until warm, they found some valves had no clearance and fixed them without letting us know until after it was all said and done, stated it was over 8.5 hours of work. On their website which anyone can view, a customer only authorizes 1.5 hours of diagnostic work, to which then the customer is to be contacted if they need to go further to get authorization from the customer. None of that was done.

The store manager, Chris S. helped diagnose my bad alternator, which originally tested "good" but he went the extra mile by charging my battery and even gave me a courtesy call to let me know my battery was ready. He then retested my alternator and it read "bad diode." I would have never known and would have spent a lot more taking it to a car repair shop when I can put the alternator in myself. I was able to buy a new alternator and replace it myself. Thank you Chris S. and team for all of your help and saving me some extra money!!

Tri-City Auto Warning: Dishonest Service, Scammers, Voided Refund, and Vehicle Put at Risk"…read more It's rare that I leave negative reviews, but my experience with Tri City Auto was a complete nightmare. They charged me $773 for faulty work based on a diagnostic they never properly performed. I was told my Q3 Audi needed a thermostat--only to later learn it didn't. The part was ordered incorrectly three times, delaying repairs. I was then told by Jennifer McCormick, I should be grateful she did not charge me for their mistake because it cost them money. My car was initially promised back the same day but wasn't returned for two days. The day after pickup, my car wouldn't start, I was able to get a battery jump, to make it to Jiffy Lube (less than 1 mile away) for a battery replacement. Within minutes the dashboard lights lit up, smoke billowed from under the hood and fluid poured from the bottom of the car. Jiffy Lube discovered the intake hose hadn't been properly reconnected--posing serious safety risks to me and others as I was about to travel out of town. Tri City agreed to tow the car back and offered a loaner, which was the only positive experience. They eventually admitted the thermostat wasn't ever needed and said they'd issue a refund. The owner can also express sometimes things just happen and things can go wrong. However, the refund receipt was vague, and when I asked for clarification, shop supervisor Jennifer McCormick responded unprofessionally--handwriting unclear notes on the receipt. I followed up via text, simply requesting confirmation of the refund details. Within minutes, Ken McCormick, the owner, called me with a hostile tone, stating, "I already told you what the refund was for." Despite having printed documentation and screenshots of the initial refund, Ken and the Tri-City team ultimately reversed and voided the promised refund transaction. I had to take my car to another repair shop, where the technicians expressed serious concerns about the work Tri-City performed. All dashboard lights are now on, and there appears to be additional electrical damage. I've already lost over a week of access in my car, now using LYFT and incurred more than $1k in additional repair costs--potentially even more. Tri City Auto is dishonest, unethical, and extends dangerous. I would never trust them with my vehicle again and strongly advise others to avoid this shop. what they are doing to people is so unfair and I would not wish this treatment on anyone.

We made sure we communicated our intent prior to headed to the shop. We let them know and got the "go ahead" prior to loading the 4 wheeler up. We arrived and it was as if we farted in church. Pickup, post repairs, was even worse. Durham traffic caused awful delays. We called ahead to let them know we would be there in 10 minutes and arrived with minutes to spare. Their response, "well...get here or the gates will be locked. Sorry. "Best be here by 5 or no one will be around." We get there at 4:58. Lights off. A guy on a forklift is blocking the back lot entrance to make sure I don't delay him closing the gates. He says nothing and offers me no information. I go in and have to ask multiple times "can I get my key and the Polaris." The nice repair guy gets the key. He tells me it's outside. Where outside? I was just outside. Someone parked it at the other gate around the other gate outside the blocked lot that was already closed up. I begin walking around the shop. Final thoughts: I'll go ANYWHERE else. I guess I'm not a regular, so I won't inconvenience y'all anymore. Forklift dude...I get it. You worked all day. But, come on man. You didn't even leave after getting in your personal truck.
