CPR Certification Solutions - Somerset - BLS Instructor Course

This building is lovely and easy to find! Walk inside and take the elevators to the 4th floor…read more Check in and sign in with the receptionist. I was the only one taking the class so it went by pretty quickly. The instructor is so nice and really explains each topic well. She asks you questions to make sure you understand the content in order to apply it to the emergency situation. Her questions all help with the test at the end. She's friendly and approachable, so don't be afraid to ask questions! The mannequins have become more high tech from when I last did my BLS certification. There's an app that can measure the depth and rate you're performing your compressions. I think that's pretty cool! In terms of cleanliness/infection control, we were wearing masks. I only removed my mask momentarily when I was performing rescue breaths. All equipment was wiped down and disinfected after the course. Hand sanitizer was also available. I felt safe with the proper precautions taken. Overall, I highly recommend getting your certification done here! The whole experience was pleasant.

I took time from work to attend and arrived at the site on time. First, the instructor (Daniel Scotti) never showed up. Second, I called the 800 number and was informed that the instructor had "car trouble" and the class was not going to be taught. Last, I was never contacted even though they had my cell number and email address. This organization is very unprofessional... go with the Red Cross or YMCA classes.

The girls at the front desk were super sweet and gave me the rundown about the spa's layout and etiquette. Check-in was super simple. You walk in, ask for a day pass, make reservations for additional services if you want (I recommend reserving at least a week earlier to get your preferred time), and they give you your wristband and lounge attire/towel. The women's locker rooms and bath area were pretty clean and very spacious. You don't need to bring very many toiletries, as they have large dispensers of lotion in the locker room area and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower area. They have hair dryers for use and lots of outlets in the vanity area in case you want to bring other styling tools of your own. I started off with a 30 min Quick Fix Facial and was serviced by Ellie (10/10 recommend). It was super relaxing and we made small talk about skincare based on my concerns. She was super nice and very professional. After I left my skin was glowing! I then headed to the juice bar and got an iced matcha latte (also super good) and relaxed by the lounge area with my laptop before I had my next service. It wasn't too loud, and there's free wifi, so you can get some work done, watch a show, or read a little. Keep in mind the lounge area is an open space connected with the juice bar and food court, so it's not library quiet. That being said, people aren't yelling, and nobody was playing their online media out loud, so it's easy to tune out all the white noise. I then got a 30 min Swedish Massage by Andy, which was more than satisfactory. I was worried about the massage being too rough, but he did everything just right. Only during a few second-long periods did it feel a bit heavier, but I knew he was working out a knot. Even then, it was not bad, and I was glad to know he was being thorough. For lunch, I got a shrimp tempura roll and miso soup, and both were tasty and fresh. I loved the complimentary yoga class, which happens daily from 2-3 PM. Regarding the bathhouse, it's listed on their website that you have to be nude, and plenty of people have talked about that, so I won't bore you with those details. That being said, the varying temperatures are nice, so you can choose based on your comfort. The showers are in the same bath area and are open, just to note, but nobody is really looking at you. You get comfortable pretty quickly once you realize nobody cares and there's a lot of body positivity. Overall, I had a lovely experience. The staff are friendly and help you feel comfortable, and there are plenty of things to do. Definitely recommend staying the whole day. If you want to enjoy all the amenities but are a little wary about the nudity, I suggest coming early when there's less people, and it feels a little more private. I was slightly hesitant to visit the spa based on the mixed reviews I saw online, but ultimately decided to give it a chance. I had never been to a Korean spa, and I live over an hour away, so I was really hoping for a good experience. That being said, I'm very happy I decided to come and look forward to coming back.

We checked in after 5pm, and it was pleasantly quiet; most guests were in the common area lounging or eating, with very few people in the baths or saunas. If you're looking for a low-key visit, a Monday evening seems ideal. My husband had a great time, and we wrapped up with a meal at the café. The food was just as good as I remembered, with generous portions.

The service was appreciated and helpful. The cocktail hour had a number of different station including a mashed potato bar, carving station, pasta station, cold foods, etc. I will not comment on everything I tried but just give a few highlights. There were also servers passing around a lot of dishes. Some of the highlights for me was the brisket at the carving station as it was very tender and meaty. The eggplant rollatini was flavorful with plenty of cheese and tomato sauce. My favorite pass around item was the bacon wrapped scallops while the worst was the mini chicken and waffle as it was soggy and not very good. For the main dinner, there was a salad, intermezzo, main entrée, and dessert. The signature grain house salad consisted of mixed greens, Roquefort cheese, Anjou pears, toasted pecans, and aged sherry vinaigrette. This was nicely done. All of the ingredients worked well with one another and the vinaigrette brought everything together. The intermezzo was a lemon sorbet which was definitely refreshing. For my main course, I had the honey miso glazed salmon. It came with wild rice and asparagus. This was great. The salmon was cooked perfectly and there was a perfect amount of the honey miso present. It was a nice sized portion as well. I also tried the vegetarian entrée that contained roasted red pepper stuffed with butternut squash risotto. This was surprisingly good too. The risotto was filling and creamy. I did not have any dessert. I also had their continental breakfast the next morning. It was a standard one with fruits, granola, oatmeal, donuts, breads, hard boiled eggs. The bread was a little stale, but besides that, it was what one expects at a continental breakfast. Will I go back? Yeah, sure.

That sounds ok, but trust me, it's not. The king size bed was so hard that I had trouble walking the next day due to my back. Same with my wife. The pillows are so soft they just totally collapse under the weight of your head. I literally didn't sleep at all. We were there with several people for a wedding, and everyone said the same. I talked to the people at the front desk, but I'm sure that went nowhere.
