She directed me down the incorrect isle and then caught an attitude with me when she realized that she sent me down the wrong isle. I did not see what I was looking for, I mentioned to her that the website indicated that this item was in stock at this location on Lyons Avenue. She rolled her eyes at me and then in a nasty tone told me that the item was probably in the back, but she wasn't going back there to look for it. The manager of this location as a progressive form of discipline should give her a verbal and/or letter of reprimand placed in her personal file. Although they only had one in stock, the sales guy said he could have the other option available for me within an hour from their other location. They're prices aren't the lowest, but there's definitely a level of expertise you'll find here that's sorely lacking at too many auto parts retail chains. Truly astounding. Otherwise, it's a great place to buy not-so-inexpensive tools and automotive supplies that are below-average quality. Specialty retailers and online outlets do an excellent job of providing top-notch customer service, video tutorials and complete parts catalogues. But if you're in need of an item that would cost more to ship (or if you need it now), this place will do.

Valley Auto Parts is one of the best locally owned supply stores I can imagine. With products for a…read morerange of vehicles in stock, the business has earned a way into my regular rotation for maintaining and fixing a 1998 Volvo. The last time I stopped in, I was looking for a coolant tee hose connector of a specific size. With just a passing glance at the broken piece in my hand, the guy behind the counter (the owner?) swooped to a pegboard on the wall and plucked out the exact replacement part I was looking for. Amazingly, it was a part I had spent considerable time looking online at the largest e-retailer and the other large online auction site, and while I did find it there, too, I preferred the immediacy of buying it in a bricks-and-mortar store and at a comparable price as at the supposed discount sites. Coolant hoses, sold by the foot and custom-cut, were also much more convenient and economical to buy locally. I'll definitely be back the next time my car needs regular maintenance, repairs or a wash and wax!
