When ordering my car for pick up, I was hoping that they would allow me to pick up at the Norwell location. I was informed that the Norwell location typically has better customer service and just overall, is less of a headache. Once we entered the dealership, we were instructed to go all the way down to check-in for the delivery/pick up appointment. The wait was short & my car was already parked outside, so that was great! They allowed us to inspect the interior & exterior before signing papers. After that was done, it took about another half hour roughly to get my car plate made. Overall, pretty quick & probably one of the quicker car dealership pick up experiences that I have had. The only "issue" that I had with this visit was that I received the car with only 44% battery. Of course, I kindly asked if they could charge the car to 80% for me, as that's the recommended % for daily driving. Someone did help me out with that, however, told me to click on the app that I have received the car & completed delivery. I had not known that by doing this, they would be able to charge me $ for the %charge. Before leaving the lot, I asked another worker if they could assist me with waiving the fee, simply because the car should've had more battery for a new car pick up. Luckily, they did help me waive the fee, so all is good! I did see previous reviews and it seems that this dealership does get busy & many others have experienced their car not charged with enough battery... it would be nice if they could make sure cars, that are going to be picked up, have enough battery and if they don't have enough battery, put them on chargers before customer picks up. read more

While it's easy to purchase a vehicle, it's nearly impossible to secure a service appointment without booking 3-4 weeks out. I'm a planner myself, but that's an unreasonable window when it comes to an electric vehicle in need of servicing. In my case, I needed service for low coolant which was suddenly making my car excruciatingly hot and windshield wipers. Of course the coolant was of prime importance. Despite the website indicating walk ins are accepted and me showing up 30 minutes after they opened, I was not serviced and was given the 3-4 week window. read more

My Tesla Model 3 Long Range is a lot like Musk, the Tesla founder. There are some truly innovative and remarkable aspects to this vehicle, and some unbelievably stupid flaws. On the positive side: * Excellent acceleration * Low carbon footprint * No gas stations * Quiet ride * Good visibility up front * Some of the electronics are very impressive including remote start Now the negatives: * Giant glass roof without a shade * Glass roof doesn't open (it's not a sun roof) * Glass roof makes car very hot in the summer * No analog controls make it difficult to use lights, heat, fan, etc. * Complex user interface * Limited service centers * Connectivity issues with Spotify, etc. * Updates change interface too frequently * Nickle and diming (I have to pay for a garage door opener app?!) * More expensive to insure * Elon Musk The giant glass roof was a real problem, even with the tint, on sunny days it made it difficult to see well. I bought an aftermarket shade, which helped, but it's not a perfect fit and it stays up permanently (either you have shade or not). Tesla using a giant glass roof which doesn't open and not integrating a shade was really stupid (I test drove this on a cloudy day, so the tint seemed really dark and I thought it would be fine). Yes, there are a lot of negatives including Elon Musk, who has become such a polarizing figure, people are now throwing eggs at Tesla's! Bottom line is that I will not consider purchasing another Tesla, thus a one-star rating. read more

Not the way to start as new owner. Paperwork for the car was not completed correctly and have to sit here while they try and figure it out. read more

I just picked up my new Tesla Model 3 LR RWD Thursday and the experience was fantastic. I was there early and the car was being detailed. The customer service rep asked if I wanted to fill out paperwork and saw that I had completed everything in the app. They brought the car out, charged it up while I inspected it for any issues. Once I was satisfied and the car was charged (which took about 20min for my inspection room and charging combined) she said I could sign the rest of the paperwork. There were only three pieces of paper to sign - the RTA for registration, the acknowledgment of Ma Right to Repair log, and the acknowledgement of delivery. I then waited about 15 min for the in-house RMV department to complete the transaction and issue me the new plates on the spot. The representative then installed the new plates and I was ready to go. The entire procedure took around an hour and I left right as my actual appointment time was about to begin. It was the smoothest automotive buying transaction I've ever had. While this car was my personal vehicle, my job is helping people to buy cars so I'm in different dealerships at least twice a week. There's been no car buying experience as easy as this transaction. All the employees we saw walking around said hello and were friendly. I asked a question of one employee walking by and he stopped to answer it without hesitation and without that feeling that I was bothering him or that he'd rather be somewhere else. Our main CS rep was super friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all the rest of my questions with an authority that made it clear she knew the answers she was giving me were 100% correct. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I Haasaaate Elon, but I love this car and the buying experience. I have to give credit where credits due and I'm glad some of the money I spent when to employees like these. read more

Came into the dealership to reschedule, since I was at the exit anyway. Wish I haven't, because I've been totally ignored by staff for the past fifteen minutes, so far. I received the car with four scratches and missing paint on the bottom of the driver's side door. The delivery team convinced me to accept the delivery, assuring me that they would handle the issue. I accepted the delivery, and seconds later, a service request was created. However, on July 3, I dropped off the car, only to receive it back on July 18 with the same scratches that were already there. It seemed like the body shop had attempted to buff off the scratches using either dirty pads or incorrect grit pads and made it worse. I immediately contacted the delivery manager and showed him the scratches. He took the car to his area, and his detail guy managed to buff off some of the scratches, but he accidentally damaged my bumper with his rotary polisher. I thought that it was only compound or polish that could be washed off, but the scratches remained. I was extremely frustrated with Tesla; it felt like the management had simply abandoned the company. I'll be reaching out to Tesla's higher management so that no one else has to go through this. I won't be filing another service request because there was no communication between the delivery team, service team, and body shop. Additionally, I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. If someone paid for a new car, they should receive it in perfect condition without any damage or issues. read more

My car buying experience was the worst ever. I bought a used 2021 Model Y with modest expectations, as they immediately advised there would be no refund for the deposit or shipping fee. However, upon receiving the vehicle, it was a horror show. The interior was destroyed and stained with makeup on the door and visor. To make it worse, there were deep scratches in some areas and long scratches in others all around the car. The front bumper was replaced, and it didn't even match the car color. Despite no disclosures of these issues during the purchase, they showed a beautiful generic rendering of what to expect exterior and interior . At 36k miles, it was ridiculous to think any reasonable person would be okay with driving that off the lot. When I asked if they could repaint, replace, or clean the stained areas, they said it was unlikely. When I asked for a full refund, they referred me to the warranty and condition section to justify it. They proved my point as there were scratches over 4 inches and stains over 1 inch in the interior, which is not within reasonable used car standards. I was supposed to pick up a new car and the state registration system was down (the state's fault, not Tesla's). I went to see the car anyway and fill out the paperwork. The customer service woman, Maribel, had the best attitude in what I'm sure was a stressful time for all employees. Eli was helpful as well. The registration system did not end up going back online so I wasn't able to leave with the vehicle. However, they delivered the car to me free of charge the next day. Noticed on the tesla app that was the only location with many openings (and now I understand why...). Messaging on the app was sloppy.. Asked very specific questions about cost of repair (brakes..). Did not get back an answer. I was asked to wait 5 min while getting a loaner.. After 30min I went back to desk to ask for updates: they forgot about the loaner! LOL. Charing the car while at service? Not here...lol Charging your Credit Card with ~10% than other locations for diagnostic ($105 vs $95)? Here for sure! Hopefully last time in this location! read more

Brought car in for service and asked about a window trim that came bent from factory on my 1 month old car. Was told this would be covered under warranty and come back in 3 weeks. I bring it to the appointment and they backtrack and tried charging me for the part. It's not the money it's the time I wasted and led to believe it would be covered 1/5 service. They know their cars have QC issues and yet fight you over a trim on a brand new car. Whenever you bring up an issue, they put the burden of finding out whats wrong on you by shooing you away and telling you to come back with time stamps. read more

Brand new model Y came with many issues. Scheduling service can only be done with their POS app. Coming to service expect to wait for an hour util someone talks to you. The techs I met were great and super professional but everything else is bad. In addition there is no way to call them, only message using the app. They NEVER answer. My car is there, it's after closing time and I have no idea what is the status and when can I get it back. The service responsiveness is just terrible, combined with the poor build quality of the car you should stay away from Tesla. read more

Holy smokes, getting service for a Model S is worse than getting your teeth drilled. I expected way more for a $100,000 car, and at every step, the process of scheduling and receiving service significantly sours my ownership experience. I have a suggestion.... At Tesla, maybe there needs to a greater investment in human capital, some better lessons in customer service, and some process improvement in how to perform closed-loop communication. Sometimes text sessions through the app just don't cut it. If you happen to need service, the app is the only way to schedule an appointment or interface with your service technician, which by the way, is a complete disaster. Need the next appointment? Try 4 weeks. And when the repair isn't right, there is no phone number to call for follow-up service and no chat session that hasn't been closed out, so you just have to crash the party at the dealership with a dead computer and say Here I Am! Getting emergency roadside assistance is a long process that requires hours of investment, too, so get comfy, you'll be waiting. Flat tire? Good luck getting them to answer the app on the first try -- they texted and called the wrong phone number and then proceeded to delete the emergency request with no followup in the app other than to have the request disappear. Good job, team. So much for using the app. Try to make a phone call to the emergency assistance number listed on the dashboard? 20+ minutes on hold. Be sure you're the primary driver or have them immediately available, otherwise you just have to try your luck at the App again. Need a tow because they don't provide a spare, sell run-flat tires, or have an available loaner wheel to dole out? That's another hour. In two years and 25,000 miles of ownership, in addition to small wear & tear items, we have had service for post-delivery residue (who sells a luxury car that needs splotches removed from the steering wheel and seats?!), a one month-long service call to replace the MCU computer (in the shop for a month!), and a flat tire that left us roadside in Newton for hours waiting for action. From start to finish, Tesla could use some good lessons on customer service from Mercedes, BMW and Audi. Elon Musk, you can do better. read more

Extremely unprofessional and inflexible. Overall, the MYLR I own is a very good car. Nice to drive and the overall experience is good. Until it's time to service, that is. The little things that break this car are very annoying. But the service is what will be the undoing of Tesla brand. My MYLR has less than 6000 miles on it. The passenger reclining switch broke off, so I scheduled a replacement appointment the next day. When I brought my car, the tech who accepted it, told me that I am lucky they had exactly 1 replacement part in stock. She provided an uber credit and I was on my way. When it was time to pick up my car, I was told that the part was installed to someone else, and I now have to wait 2 more weeks for the replacement to arrive. Now, 1 day prior to my appointment, the tech on the message refuses to provide an uber credit stating they only provide uber when the repair takes more than 2.5 hours. She said in my case it will take 2.5 hours or less. Last time when they just discovered that my part went to someone else, it took them 3 hours or more. When I brought this up, she said it's 2.5 hours or less, so take it or leave it. I live nearby so the uber would be less than $50 both ways. Not sure if bad customer experience was worth those $50. I recently lost my charging adapter, so I called Tesla in Dedham and they said I can come in anytime to purchase one. I drive over today to purchase the adaptor and walk into the showroom. There are 2 people being helped before me. This took about 25-30 min until another salesperson from the back came to help. When I asked if I could purchase a charging adaptor, she informed me she is only a salesperson and unable to sell me the adaptor since the parts department is closed on Sundays. I explained this is an urgent matter but said she would be unable to help. This was NOT explained to me on the original phone call and the salesperson was dismissive and not at all helpful. read more

Poor customer service. nobody wants to help you and they push everything to the app. Always gives a quote before they even know what the problem is. Extremely frustrating process. They also have been getting stricter with mobile service. Telling me- they can't perform that with mobile service. Then I find out, it could have been done via a mobile service appointment. It's sad to see these reviews from 6 years ago that summarize my experience with Tesla and this location today, signifying that not much has changed in a favorable way. Poor insurance companies that have to send over documents multiple times before Tesla admits to receiving them. Only when I was copied on the last transmission, did they magically somehow receive the documents. The texts are a joke and definitely AI automated, as they are far removed and disconnected from reality and misaligned with the process. I waited for an hour on site for delivery, only to be told they couldn't find my vehicle and it's not on the lot but that they will locate it and have it delivered to their lot in 1.5 hours. They couldn't tell me before I paid money to Lyft myself from 30 minutes away? I wait 1.5 hours, match the VIN to a vehicle in the lot, and I see it's the car I'm supposed to take home. Then, my eye catches something else - a bunch of white marks on the door, and lo and behold, there is a chip in the paint that they've marked to flag. They tell me to take the car and bring it back to have it serviced lol. Really? A new car that's already damaged, and now I'm supposed to take it and waste more of my time bringing it back for service, which most likely will take a few days, during which time, I'll be more than inconvenienced by not having a vehicle? lol out of disbelief. Then they send out this robot to talk to me. It looks like a human being but is clearly a parrot that keeps asking me rhetorical questions without offering any solutions. Now, they say I can have another vehicle with the same exact specs, but I'll have to pay more money for it. Huh? Now on my app, there is a creepy note that says, "Your order is on hold....If you are unable to take the delivery of the next available vehicle, order will be canceled." They were very quick to take the downpayment out of my bank account weeks ago, and now they're implying today's failed delivery was my fault? REALLY? They pride themselves on being so "automated," but they forget a small piece to the process. Customers are not automated, and hence, customer service cannot be either. I guess it's the Office of the Attorney General next. read more

This Tesla Supercharger station is very problematic. The Tesla dealership on which it is located uses the chargers for cars about to be delivered and routinely, only 2 or 3 of the 8 chargers are available to actual Tesla owners... Also, the chargers break down fairly often due to the very heavy traffic, I have seen up to 3/8 out of order in the last month or so. I think that dealerships should not be allowed to use the chargers designed for the public. read more

I have been for my vehicle appointment four times, and they refuse to sell me the car. This time, it was that they didn't send out my insurance forms to my insurance company for them to be stamped so they could register my car. Their phone says they are closed, even though it during regular business hours and this is seven days a week. Nobody answers that chat, saying they for us to use on their app. There's no other phone number to call. Nobody answers nobody responds, and then when the sales appointment falls through corporate calls you and ask you what went wrong and when I tell them nobody responds and nobody nobody does anything. Apparently this company cannot hire people stamp, something that a fifth grader could do. They sell like 50 cars a week. Why can't they just sell me my car? It's been six weeks already. I did everything I needed to do and Tesla is unprofessional. Fire the manager, fire all the staff, and sell me my car. I'm giving them a lot of money and they are botching the sale like CLOWNS. read more

I have owned Teslas for the last seven years and I am considering another. The service experience is unimaginably horrible. There is zero human interaction or response. The answering service sends you the app, and no one responds on the app. When I finally speak to a person they promise a text or call update, and NOTHING. The service experience is so bad it is embarrassing. The app tells you the car will be ready then it's not, but there's no human to tell you it's not actually ready. I'm so disappointed and inconvenienced that I'm considering not getting another Tesla, despite how much I like the product itself. Such a shame. read more

Tesla Dedham has an incredible service team. They are friendly, helpful, professional and always try to do the best they can within the constraints of the product (more on that below). Tesla does not try to make money out of servicing the car (unlike ALL other car companies) so it's really about doing what it takes to keep these fault-ridden cars on the road. It never feels like a dealership. The folks who work here have a tough time of it because Tesla owners pay more compared to other luxury brands and expect better service. Add to that the fact that these cars have hundreds of irritating glitches related to poor build quality and it makes for an extremely irate clientele. In the less than two years that I've had the car, I've spent more days in the Tesla dealership getting things fixed then I've spent in over 10 years with German cars. (If you consider the opportunity cost of missing work to get to the dealership, you have a very expensive car indeed.) I've seen the whole range of angry owners and the Tesla service team maintains a professional and helpful attitude through thick and thin. I'm convinced the time for EVs has come and Tesla helped make it possible. I will buy another EV when I need another car, but it just won't be from Tesla. read more

I had the poorest experience with my 2021 Model S I have ever had in my life with any car. Returning from an extended vacation overseas with no one to babysit my Tesla and not being allowed to having a charging station in my apartment building, the battery and 12V were both dead. Triple AAA could not get into the car to put it in tow mode. Tesla came and charged me 630.00 to tow the car to Dedham (I live in Northampton, two hours drive away), the nearest maintenance operation. They charged the battery and told me to pick up the car which they said was fine. The navigation did not work and there was a variable fan noise. They kept the car and gave me a loaner which needed charging. When the charging was done, I got in the car and a message appeared that a tire was low. I found no problem. I drove home and the next day the loaner front R tire was flat. I called Tesla (waiting over an hour to talk to a service tech) and they said they would charge me for towing it back. I said it was their fault. Two days later they sent a truck to take the loaner back and told me my car was ready. They charged me over $500.00 for "repairs" and a new 12V. I am getting rid of this car but Tesla won't buy it back unless you order a new Tesla. Pretty sick company if you ask me. Great experience with this location! Just picked up my new to me 2017 model S and everything was awesome. They gave me a Uber code so I could go drop off my one way rental. They were prepared for us. Car was ready (charging completely when we got there.) and all paperwork was prepared. Checked out the car for a few minutes. Got statrted on the paperwork. Was out in about an hour total. There were a couple things off, but they were instantly fixed when I brought them up. The team member who helped me was awesome. The car is amazing. Literally the nicest car I've ever owned. read more
