    First time at a Tesla Service Center. This location (only mechanical repair, not a body shop) has a Gillman address, but you enter from the side street. The parking lot is huge but is shared with other tenants in the block. Once you find the entrance and drive in, there's a short queue from the driveway to the dock but it does move quickly. The service writer greets and confirms your information and ETA. Location has a nice spacious customer lounge with a K-Cup and some light snacks, in addition to a few vending machines. When the car is ready you get an in app notification, check in with the service writer and done. Maybe I am use to the traditional dealership but I was expecting a showroom with the Model 3/S/Y/X/Cyber Truck, or a parts/accessories store . Being a Tesla Center, I was expecting Tesla Charging spaces but there were none.

    Tesla Service Center First time getting the car serviced in over two years. Very easy appointment system through the app. Had slight wobbling in the car when driving at freeway speeds. When I arrived, I test drove the car with a technician. He said that it could be the foam in the tires bunching to one side as the tires get worn down, but he has seen it much worse in other cars. Recommended a few options with the main two being 2 tire replacement or waiting until all 4 needed replacement. I wound up choosing the latter and getting the tires alternated (front wheels had more tread life so they got moved to the back). My experience was the employees are very laid back and will just give you some options and quotes without any pressure. My tires were alternated in less than an hour, but during that time I was able to take a work call in their very nice waiting area. Made a tea and snagged a fig bar and some Chex mix. The waiting room is huge and very clean. I had a really good experience, but didn't have any major repairs though.

    I will drive to Corte Madera in the future. Upon having my car towed I was not greeted, more of a crabby teacher getting me in line and when asked a question; teacher gave me the low brow and orders, with NO explanation. Any question I had the answer was no, we don't do that. So no time for advice? Guess not. Upon leaving I finally got the woman to smile. Next day I am fielding text messages through the Tesla App regarding the status of my car. Here's a snapshot of the manner in which they treat their customers. I still don't know if they charged my car. Find out later today when I pick it up. Been to Corte Madera; full swing the opposite for customer service; for those who are not technically savvy they verbally explain what's wrong and suggestions. Thankfully I am tech savvy but still got confused in the lack of information. My rating; Berkeley - 0. Corte Madera 8. PS I have written only three "bad service" reviews since 1997 when I got my first web site up. That should tell you something.

I purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership for around $18,000. During the sales process, the staff was very friendly and welcoming to the family. I was told the vehicle came with a 24-month / 24,000-mile powertrain warranty, and I was reassured that if anything went wrong I could bring the vehicle back and it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, my experience after the sale has been the complete opposite. After driving the Jeep only about 2,200 miles, the vehicle broke down and had to be taken to a Jeep dealership for diagnosis. I was then informed that the vehicle needs a major repair to the powertrain wiring harness, which is estimated to cost about $5,000. Despite the fact that this issue involves the powertrain wiring, Berkeley Honda has refused to help with the repair and claims that the issue does not fall under the powertrain warranty. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of communication and accountability. When it was time to sell the vehicle, everyone was very responsive and helpful. But once the problem appeared, that support disappeared. Calls have gone unanswered and emails have been ignored. I have only made three payments on this vehicle before this major issue occurred. Now I'm facing a $5,000 repair bill on a vehicle I just purchased, and I've had to take BART to work while trying to figure out how to afford the repair. At this point I am filing complaints with the California DMV and other consumer protection agencies so the situation can be reviewed. My advice to anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Berkeley Honda: * Have a trusted third-party mechanic inspect the vehicle before purchasing * Carefully review what the warranty actually covers * Do not rely on verbal assurances during the sales process I regret trusting the promises that were made during the purchase. I hope sharing this experience helps other buyers make a more informed decision.

However, a month into having the car, I had a nail in my tire (which I am liable for) and went to three different shops to get quotes for a tire replacement. ALL three shops notified me that the ALL the tires needed to be changed because all four tires were worn out and unsafe and that the dealership should have never sold it to me in that condition. Note: I had a paperwork from all three shops indicating all this. I called Albany of Subaru and got the run around and even got hung up on and finally requested the GM and they scheduled me an appointment. At the appointment, they denied covering ALL four tires. So I requested a paperwork that stated they would cover it so that I can file a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repairs and the Better Business Bureau. Finally they were able to cover all four tires BUT I still had to pay $140 for the alignment. NOW! My husbands outback car is having issues, which was purchased two weeks after mine.
