I selected a color and they prepared a half-pint sample so I can paint it on my wall to see how it looks!

The biggest fear was picking the "right" colors. There are just too many colors to choose from. Also, most people, like me, do not know how different colors work (intuitively or theoretically). So, I just didn't know where to begin! That said, I walked in here without knowing ANYTHING (other than wanting to repaint the exterior). Casey was amazing. She listened to me carefully (although I was not very much of help as I didn't know what I wanted myself). She picked out a couple of brochures and directed me to this very useful binder "Color Inspiration and Ideas," which shows you common color combinations (see my photos). They have a very spacious showroom. I just sat there and went through the binder, picking out combinations I liked and excluding ones I didn't like. While I was studying the binder, she checked on me a couple times but she gave me the "space" I needed. She also directed me to the Benjamin Moore website to try out the color combinations I liked online. This is an amazing tool. You can upload a picture of your house and try out different colors on your house (and it's free)! After trying out many different combinations of colors online, I came in here again to look at the colors I liked. I was able to pick up some paint swatches to bring home. The lady who helped me was very pleasant and was able to find the colors I wanted quickly. I'd thought I would need Photoshop to "virtually" paint my house to see how it would look, but, thanks to Casey, I was able to do it for free on the Benjamin Moore webpage ("Personal Color Viewer"). So far, this potentially scary project has been very pleasant. In fact, I have learned a lot thanks to Stockton's Paint!

Additional request for help ignored. (Goodness...this is a purchase!) it used to feel like a neighborhood store (like my hardware store) but it's clearly gone behind the wall. Off-putting. Their paint is not that precious. Employees speak of the negative changes as well due to current manager. Sigh...

In particular, on a Sunday, I had a paint issue on a $100,000.00 remodel project and Elizabeth and regional manager Sarah Stewart handled with expediency and professionalism. I've been working on projects with Sarah a couple times a year, every year. She is the Goddess of information when it comes to paint. I'm so grateful for all she's done. Then I went up to the counter where a young woman was working,,, haaaaa, as the cashier. She was eating, kept putting food in her face as she rang up my purchase. She was rude, unfriendly. If she wanted to go home that bad, quite and walk out! Don't be a 1 star employee in a 5 star work force, it reflects poorly on your fellow employees, and reflects even worse on you.
