Top Notch Husband/Wife DC Realtor Team- The Real Dynamic Duo!
It is my honor to give Terry and his wife Freddi my first Yelp review! Normally, I'd be more inclined to start with a review for food :)
I should start by saying my husband and I first met Terry and Freddi when we purchased the home they just helped us sell from them almost 10 years ago(December 2004). We bought the roughly 1,100 square foot attached rowhome in Congress Heights in 2004.
Two children, a dog and nearly 10 years later brought a much different market, improved neighborhood and not enough space for our little family. So, my husband and I decided it was time to make the move from the city to the burbs.
I will start by saying that Terry and his wife Freddi know the DC market, and know it well! They live here themselves! They are invested in Washington, DC, from a personal and professional perspective.

We selected Terry as our listing agent to sell our house on Oakwood Street SE, which is in Congress Heights, not far from the new street car development, new DHS HQ, and the Nationals Stadium. We could not be more satisfied with our choice! If you want a true partner in getting your house ready and most importantly selling your house, then I recommend this team highly. Terry and his wife were true partners with us throughout and they took great care to make the process seamless and the experience as non-stressful as possible. We have an older dog and two small kids, the two of them were considerate and always had our best interests in mind from beginning to end.
Terry took his time in explaining the existing comps, the pricing he recommended for our home and why, and in pointing out what he thought we should address from room to room in preparing our house for showing. Freddi took photos that played up the best angles and the best lighting ; while ensuring that the photos showcased the assets of our home. The photos online were great! We priced our home competitively, but at the higher end and had an offer within 24 hours! We did what Terry recommended. He is spot on with his recommendations for repair/and not spending extra money or time fixing cosmetic items. We had 4 offers in less than 5 days. Our contracts were executed on time, and written with our family interest in mind. Addendums were executed impeccably. Recommendations after inspection and any and all follow up with buyer's agents were on time, and always completed in an amicable manner.
Terry is strategic, honest and hard-working WITH a sense of humor. Let's face it, moving sucks, so being able to work with these two was really nice! Freddi is accommodating, professional and a real pleasure to work with. We received two offers that were $12,000 over list price! A true challenge with few comps that came close. Our house appraised only at the list price, and Terry was proactive, keeping on top of new comps in the area. He submitted a new higher comp to the appraiser for consideration and it worked! In the end, our appraisal was adjusted to reflect that new comp, with similar square footage and in similar neighborhood.
Woohoo!! He was successful in getting us the $12,000 over the list price which we needed to be able to purchase our new home! Go Terry!
