Such a fun little shop...of horrors. We were exuberantly greeted when we walked in. The shop is full of mini booths of separate seller items - I was surprised to learn this as they do a great job of making a cohesive space that looks like all one shop that flows well. We drove out from Glendale partly to check out this store and were not disappointed. It's totally a haven for any of you fellow weirdos who love horror, Halloween, or just general creepiness. It is WAY bigger than I expected - don't miss the multiple side rooms! I think we spent nearly an hour here thoroughly checking everything out. They have everything, ranging from classic horror to anime/manga horror to "creepy not scary" like Addams Family and Beetlejuice. There were movies, magazines, books, jewelry, and home decor all the way from movie posters to taxidermy and wet specimens (aka fetal pigs in jars) to cute bedazzled and flowered wall hangings. The Oddities room is tucked away within the podcasting area. It's full of unique, uh... collectibles... a lot of which we said "How did they even get ahold of this?" I don't want to spoil it though, just go see for yourself. I'm assuming the owner was the guy sitting behind the counter? He was super nice; he overheard us telling the cashier it was our first time in and asked what we thought of the place. Really enthusiastic and welcoming guy. Last note, and this might be a weird comment to make but - I also appreciated that we were greeted when we came in, but nobody was breathing down our necks while we browsed. Y'all know what I mean - when you then feel guilty if you don't end up buying anything. I absolutely had to buy a few trinkets here, so that didn't matter anyway, but yeah. Thanks for being chill, staff. If your personal motto is "I myself am, strange and unusual", Terror Trader is definitely worth a trip. read more

Great store full of super nice people! We go in here a lot and I always bring friends/family that have never been. We even participated in their Trunk or Treat event and it was such a great time for the kids! If you're looking for unique gifts, scary merch, or you just want to see the corpse of a Smurf...this is the place for you! read more

We love Terror Trader! The negative: After discussing in our friend group and my wife's own experience we've noticed a pattern of the owners being more cold and less welcoming to woman customers which sucks! If you can deal with the slight pretentious attitude this place is pretty cool! We are massive horror fans and are just excited to have a dedicated place. read more

This place is my Disneyland. It's the happiest place on earth for me! I have so much fun every time I go and visit Terror Trader. The fact Gina and Jason put on events every month is absolutely amazing! It brings all the horror freaks out to one place that feels like home. I don't live nearby but it's worth taking the trip down there. And every time I walk in I feel appreciated. Thank you Gina and Jason for always being so humble and sweet every time I go in and showing your gratitude! I'm so happy this store exist because you don't see too many year around Halloween stores. Neat little horror shop with different vendors. Not too many stores like this in the area if at all. It's definitely in it's infancy but given a year or more this place will be off the chain. Their parking lot Sales from the Darkside events are really cool. They setup vendors in the parking lot and do a swap meet type thing. Definitely worth checking out. read more

The family enjoyed visiting and shopping at the store. It's a must to visit the mini museum in the back of the store.

That's not what I expected at all. I really hoped it would be a friendly business that promoted the AZ horror community, but I was so wrong. They come across as prideful and too big for some of AZ horror community small business. All I wanted to do is work with them even for FREE, but they are too good for me. This really hurt and cut deeply. I tried reaching out and sometimes would not even get a response at all until I had to ask straight up why. If I had something similar or could help my fellow horror community out, I would oh and I have for over 10 years. It is all about privilege and how you use it to help or hurt others. Now I know how they use theirs. Fame and fortune only will go so far it is all about connections, and how you treat others it will haunt you. I have taken this business off of all my social media and am now done with them completely. I am so glad I did not buy anything of Terror Trader's merchandise. Too bad it didn't work out in the end. As someone who enjoys all things spooky, I love that this store has opened up and Is available for me to pop in at any time of the year instead of having to wait for the fall season.
