I was involved in a car wreck on February 17, 2017. Unfortunately, my car was towed to Terrebonne Motors because the body shop that I normally work with was closed the afternoon of my wreck. I was trying to kill two birds with one stone so that I wouldn't have to have my car towed to Marie's for the weekend then to the other body shop on Monday. That is a decision that I have regretted for quite some time now.
My car arrived on February 17 at your service center and was released to me on March 21, 2017. When I went in the following week after my wreck, I was told that my car shouldn't take long to be fixed because your employees work on a commission and they basically want the vehicles in and out. At that time, I was also informed that the estimate was incorrect and State Farm would be contacted for further issues with my car. After 33 days at your service center, a $500 deductible, $126 in "supplemental" and $3,418.82 from State Farm; I was pretty excited to have my vehicle back. Sadly, the excitement did not last long.
I realized pretty quickly that Terrebonne Motors and their employees could really care less about their customers. I found a random paint can in my trunk. It was for a Chrysler and it was white paint. My car is a Ford and it's black. I guess my car looked like a pretty good place to dispose of trash. After driving in my car for a whole 5 minutes, I realized that my car needed a serious alignment beings that it pulled hard to the left. One day when I had a passenger in my car, we realized that seat belt noise no longer worked. Then I realized that I had a disabled air bag. Also, when I was involved in the car wreck, my passenger window was blown out. When I got my car back; I noticed that my window tint was much lighter than the rest of the window tint in my car. After bringing my car to have a meter put on the window; I discovered that I had 27% tint put on and not limo tint like it should have had. I'm not exactly sure which rocket scientist it was that decided to put 27% tint on my window but clearly, it did not match the rest of my vehicle. And last but not least, the back end of my car sounded like it was about to fall off.
On March 29, 2017 I returned my vehicle to Terrebonne Motors to have everything "fixed" again. The man offered me a car but I declined it beings that I didn't think my car was going to be in the shop for very long at all. Everything seemed pretty minor so I really wasn't concerned with getting another rental. State Farm pays 80% and I pay 20%; so it wouldn't be a huge dent in my pocketbook.
On April 24, 2017, my car was released to me again and everything was "fixed." The only thing that wasn't fixed was the rear end of my car sounding like it's about to fall off because that's a suspension issue not due to the wreck. But amazingly enough, when a 'courtesy call" was placed to me sometime in either March or April; all of my complaints were indeed from the car wreck. But now, all of a sudden everything but that one thing was not from the wreck. Kind of strange if you ask me!
So here I am on May 1, 2017 with a vehicle that still isn't fixed right. I knew it would only take a matter of days for me to find something wrong with it again.
When I hopped in my car on April 26, 2017 (I believe), I noticed that a piece of the dash wasn't snapped in correctly. I was literally sitting in my car at Terrebonne Motors and had to snap this back in. Then I noticed a lovely can of soda in my cup holder; Great Value Mountain Lightning. I also found a lovely ring sitting in my cup holder (by the way, the ring isn't mine...I've never seen this kind of ring in my life). When I opened my trunk; the material that covers the spare tire and pretty much lines the trunk was just thrown back in there. I had to go back and snap it back and fix it properly. When I opened my passenger door, the panel wasn't snapped back in; I had to snap that back together again, too. One of my interior lights doesn't work anymore. And my glovebox is jammed. Of course, it's only Monday; I'm pretty positive that I'll find more issues with my car.
I'll be contacting State Farm tomorrow morning in regards to getting my car fixed for a third time by another body shop.
After nearly ten grand in damage with over five grand of that not being addressed the first go round, along with rental car fees; I'm pretty positive that I'm done with Terrebonne Motors dba Terrebonne Ford. I will never purchase a vehicle there, I will never purchase a soda out of a Terrebonne Motors vending machine, I will never give another dime to this business. In all actuality, I'd rather have toothpicks shoved under my fingernails over dealing with this load of bull again. read more
