I really hope to not step foot into another dealership to buy a car for the next 10yrs. And this is…read morewhy I bought my third Honda. All bought from Barker Honda. My experience with the first two was too long ago to remember if it was good or bad. So let's focus on this experience. I was interested in a 2015 CRV. Test drove it an hour before closing, really liked it, now to see what I can get for it. Long story short, I got a good deal, they took my crappy car off my hands and I drove home feeling safe in my new car. Problems ....um let's call them irritants... 1. Get rid of that girl who answers the phone. She's a miserable person on the inside. Just call, you'll see what I mean. 2. No car wash even though Jason told Harry to schedule the appointment. It was late and everyone was ready to leave... WTH, I can wash my own new car, right? 3. I had to get my own inspection sticker. Why? Because it was late and everyone in the service department went home. Was told a check for $10 would be mailed but it's been nearly 3 weeks. Ah well it's done. And I threw in an extra $10 and got the 2 year sticker. The sticker was an inconvenience that I would have liked to avoid but my usual guy who I always go to boosted my confidence in my decision by saying, "Look at this, a brand new Honda. When you suppose you'll ever break this in?" 10yrs Mr Chauvin. 10 years.

I went for a CRV and they didnt have the color that i wanted so I was gonna leave and the sales…read moreperson said they could give me a good deal on a hybrid , but i didnt go there for that and they said just take it for a ride , so i did and it ran good and i really wanted to give the sales person a sale cause i thought she was a friend, so I bought it and on my way home it had a strong smell of battery acid , it really stink bad . So the next day i called and told them I wanted to return it and get a gas CRV and was told no i couldnt , then she said let me talk to the manager and i will call you back . When she called back she told me we can take it back but all we can give you back of your equity is 2500.00 dollars down from 12500.00 ,so i went back and got the CRV and they stole 10.000 from me , so it you do go there to buy a car, be carefull cause they will screw you if they get the chance. PS the Hybrid that i bought already had 5000 miles on it , and i might have put a hundred miles going from there to my house and back . Im done with them

I experienced one of the best purchase processes with Barker. This is the 4th purchase I've made…read morewith them, and I will continue to purchase from Barker. The entire staff makes the process as simple and quick as possible. Patty B.

I scheduled an appointment through the GMC app (as heavily promoted by GMC through sales, posters,…read moreand phone messages) for an oil change and multipoint inspection. My confirmed appointment was for 8:00 AM, and I arrived early at 7:45 AM. Upon arrival, the service advisor could not locate my appointment in the system, even after I showed her the confirmation within the app. She advised to never book an appointment online or through the app, as there are always reoccurring issues. She took my information manually and checked me in. There were no other vehicles in the pull-up area or waiting customers inside at that time. As time passed, a few others arrived and were also waiting. By 9:30 AM, an elderly couple who had been there since 8:00 AM inquired about their vehicle and were told it had not yet been started. Frustrated, they decided to leave. At 10:15 AM, after nearly three hours of waiting with no visible progress and no one checking out at the counter, I asked about my vehicle and was told it also hadn't been started. At that point, I decided to take my truck and leave as well. What made this experience even more disappointing was the lack of concern or communication from the service manager. A manger never came out to update or apologize to any of us waiting, even after multiple customers left due to delays. A service advisor did come out and say they were "accidentally overbooked" at one point in passing. However I question that as there was literally not ONE person who checked-out from 7:45am -10:15am, nor were their any phone calls made to anyone advising their vehicles were finished. The lack of being respectful of customers time is disheartening, as making appointments should ensure smooth flow and operations to stay on time and keep customers satisfied. I used to be a consistent Barker GMC customer but had switched to Dantin Chevrolet years ago due to similar issues. Dantin has always provided quick, efficient service. I decided to give Barker GMC another try today, but after this experience, I will not be returning or recommending their service department to anyone.
