It was odd you could only do a flight of red or white wines. The charcuterie board had the perfect amount of meat, cheese, nuts and fruit for a small snack. Although there could have been more crackers with it. Overall this winery has the best views out of them all! Would highly recommend stopping here if you are in town.

There are shade sails outside and we were sitting under one, enjoying the snack we had brought along. My brother-in-law was asking questions about the restored cars and that was a fascinating conversation. The vineyard was not only restored to its current state but the owner also restores classic Mercedes cars. The views are spectacular and you can see a great distance. A short rain storm swooped in and sent us running for shelter, but it soon passed and the sun reappeared. Overall great visit. I would recommend going to this winery.

You can also get full glasses and bottles. The 2023 Chenin Blanc was springtime in a bottle. The barrel aged Chenin Blanc was aged in older French Oak barrels that provide an interesting accent. The Malbec rose tasted like strawberries. Then I got the 2022 Malbec. A great wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon was also good. My last pour was the 2022 Cabernet Franc. Another great wine. Then I got a bonus pour of a Raspberry dessert wine with locally grown raspberries. Not a true port, with only 17.5 ABV. I will be back Sunday to pickup 2 maybe 3 bottles for return to Denver. The wines I picked were on cards which had descriptions of each one on the back. Each wine I tried was great - the gal in the smaller building out front and near the sitting area was very knowledgeable and friendly. There is ample seating and even reserved tables available if you're with a larger group. For a Saturday, it wasn't terribly busy and finding a spot to sit wasn't difficult. At the end, you tell the gal which wine was your favorite and they give you a wine glass charm that matches the one you picked, so cute and thoughtful! I also bought a bottle of my favorite and they offered to chill it before I left. Both the tasting and bottle were reasonably priced. There's also a trolley that stops by and takes people to different wineries - a perfect way to wine hop and not worry about transportation. Definitely recommend if you find yourself in Palisade.

For those of you unfamiliar with what a winery collective is all about, it's a "greatest hits" of vino, curated by the owners to give you a tasting experience from all over the region. Colorado Vintner's Collective is new(ish), but what they lack in tenure they make up for in quality wine. Two of the varietals on their tasting list are produced by their proprietors, while the other 3-4 are regional wineries. I did the full tasting and enjoyed a glass of their Animas Chardonnay. It's half oaked, half steel so you get some buttery notes but not a bucket of movie popcorn in your mouth. Compared to other, more crowded wineries in Palisade, this was a treat! There was plenty of seating, no wait time, and a very nice restroom available.
