    You get 3 free samples and I really liked the red wines I tried here. Red Fox is definitely adventurous with their wines. They offer bourbon barrel merlot and rye whiskey barrel aged cabernet franc. They have a whole list of cider if you're into that. People here are nice and friendly. It was nice and cool inside during the summer with ample seating. There are also seats outside and bean bag sets. I enjoyed looking at the art they had by the entrance. Wine by the glass ranges from $8 - $14. Specialty cocktails are $8. Free parking in the lot and bike rack available. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ ) 2018

This place had some of the best tasting wine in Palisade. Yes, I know, everything is subjective. However, where other wineries all had varietals that seemed to taste the exact same, these were flavorful and distinct. PLUS, cider! We came in winter, during COVID so it was thankfully pretty slow. We got the red sampler (where you get a discount if you buy a bottle) and then several individual cider samples. The gal working was incredibly kind, attentive and even provided a list of places in Denver/the Springs we could get the wine again, without the travel. I LOVED the Bourbon Merlot even though I haven't ever been a huge Merlot girl. I found the Tempranillo to be exceptionally smooth. I loved the spicy/chili cider. It was so refreshing and also, really unique. I can't wait to go back.

It's a newer tasting room with a fun contemporary atmosphere. They make up cycled items a great looking decor. There's more than just wine for the non grape lovers. Friendly staff and a nice patio.

So I did like the facility, but this location was last on our winery tour list for the day. We hadn't gone to too many, but out of all the wineries I liked their wine the least and didn't actually purchase any. HOWEVER, I appreciate the beauty of the facility and the rustic atmosphere. My daughter loves foxes and so the fence decorations were a neat touch. The bar tenders were super helpful and I could tell they had a fun friendly reputation, because several people came that were regulars and they had a great time. I didn't get to check out their ciders, because of time, and I am super bummed because I do love ciders. I plan on going back to taste their ciders. It's not that their wine was bad, I had just had so much this day and with them being the last I don't feel I appreciated it as much as I would if it was the first location. I do highly recommend this place however. The indoor/outdoor patio is beautiful. The tasting was cheap and I appreciate how they broke the tasting up in sections so you could select preferred flights. It's not a location I will avoid, I plan on coming back.

I really had high hopes for this place. A cidery and a winery? A winning combination. Sadly, both were lackluster to me. My friend and I did both a wine tasting and a cider flight. On the positive side, the cider flight includes all of their ciders and they serve it on this fun little round tray so that you can navigate the round yourself. Unfortunately, I didn't like any of the wines and only a couple of the ciders. The standouts were the chile cider and the bourbon barrel-aged cider. I know they rotate ciders seasonally, so I would probably consider coming back to taste new ones or give some of the others another try. All that being said, I love the tasting room. Very rustic chic, with what looks to be up cycled products and materials used throughout. And, I love how they make "mixed drinks" with their ciders and wines. I didn't try one because, again, I wasn't in love with the wines or ciders in the first place. But, I love the concept.

Hot and no air conditioner mostly exposed area.. custom cocktail I got was really sweet. The staff was friendly

The pepper one tasted like someone squeezed a pepper into the glass! Very strong and flavorful just not my taste!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the hostess was great! I enjoyed the information and recommendations the hostess gave us. Very comfortable and laid back setting. I felt so relaxed I will be coming back. Complimentary wine tastings of all their wines and you can do a flight of four n their hard cider for 5 bucks! Loved their rose and Merlot and left with two bottles. We didn't care for the hard cider but we also have never tried that before. Loved their wines! So unique!!!

Bookcliff, Vineyards…read more We found that there is a correlation between wine, lovers and dog lovers.. This is another dog friendly winery, although they will be opening up food in the tasting room, and it will cease to be available for dogs. They have a nice big gazebo outside for people to enjoy their wine. Viognier -- beautiful florals, citrus peaches notes on the nose, citrus, grapefruit. green apples, on the pallet, balanced, acidity, rich minerality with fruit. Muscat has the most beautiful nose a that can keep you smelling the aromas of lemons or for minutes before you even want to put any in your mouth. Again, nice acid and fruit balance picking up the beautiful minerality of the sedimentary rock in book cliff region. Beautiful fruit of green, apple, lemon, grapefruit. Only out sourced grape. Viognier died in 1991. So they outsource grapes to fill in the void of the white. Completely lost Cabernet Sauvignon. All the other grapes revived the next year. Albarino -- a lot different than the Albarino in Spain. So there is a little bit of seabreeze on the nose, not like in spain. . Beautiful, citrus lightly on the nose. Crisp fresh fruit , staff by nice asses on the pallet. Chardonnay-- beautiful dark, yellow color. A nice rounded citrus on the palate. Not a particularly big oak. Taste of the typical Oak because Jon put soak into teabags to give those kinds of nuances. The malolactic, fermentation, brings out a bit of butteriness. Again, high acidity balance by fruit Rosé made from cab Frank sits on the skins for an hour or two, providing a very light and orange color. Beautiful, effervescent, peachy aromas. Subtle peachy. beautiful black fruit Malbec Big lush blackberries on the palate do you know when older women have a lot to teach younger men while you're my age probably I was like older women when I was younger. I have a younger wife tell me when you get on the nose I'm gonna try the reserve. Malbec reserve, grapes, grow very close to the river, the aromas are mellow, and beautiful black fridge on the pallet. Velvety at a young age. The assets are pleasantly high because of the area of growth.Grown at hawk ridge a beautiful high minerality 2020 before the great loss of the Cabernet Sauvignon due to a winter freeze. Nice florals of roses and Cassis on the nose. $24 The ensemble This Bordeaux blend used to be a blend of Cabernet, Savignon, Merlot, Cab, Franc, and Malbec. It's beautifully emulated a Bordeaux blend. Since then they have removed the cab, Frank and it has lost that earthiness that made the blend so beautiful. It is still a lovely wine. It displays blackberries on the nose in the palate. Taste it not really I'm not picking that up. Not the chocolate I would have expected from a Merlot. It seems intentionally to be more of a New World wine that appeals to the American palate. 2022 Syrah 22.95 Just won the Governors cup as number one wine Colorado. They weren't supposed to open this, but John, the owner, said that it was good to open it for us. So Chris told me that I had to ask her to open it. Deep rich purple back. Beautiful blackberry and raspberry fruit and acids blended in such a way that they just permeate the palate twisting all around the tongue. Deeply rich. You have to try this wine. You will buy cases. We ended our tasting with a beautiful Muscato. Peaches and candied lemons on their nose. It's beautiful desert wind like the Muscato from Samos island in Greece. When you are done tasting all these wines, and you end with a Moscato, you've had the best experience of your life. Well, at least among the best.

We got the white wine flight and wanted the charcuterie board but was bummed when they said they were out. A little while later the server came to our table and mentioned they had got some delivered while we were there and offered us one which was really nice. The wine flight was reasonably priced with unique flavors. Our favorite was the chardonnay. The only thing i wish you could do is mix the red and white wines for a tasting. It was odd you could only do a flight of red or white wines. The charcuterie board had the perfect amount of meat, cheese, nuts and fruit for a small snack. Although there could have been more crackers with it. Overall this winery has the best views out of them all! Would highly recommend stopping here if you are in town.
