    You get 3 free samples and I really liked the red wines I tried here. Red Fox is definitely adventurous with their wines. They offer bourbon barrel merlot and rye whiskey barrel aged cabernet franc. They have a whole list of cider if you're into that. People here are nice and friendly. It was nice and cool inside during the summer with ample seating. There are also seats outside and bean bag sets. I enjoyed looking at the art they had by the entrance. Wine by the glass ranges from $8 - $14. Specialty cocktails are $8. Free parking in the lot and bike rack available. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ ) 2018

This place had some of the best tasting wine in Palisade. Yes, I know, everything is subjective. However, where other wineries all had varietals that seemed to taste the exact same, these were flavorful and distinct. PLUS, cider! We came in winter, during COVID so it was thankfully pretty slow. We got the red sampler (where you get a discount if you buy a bottle) and then several individual cider samples. The gal working was incredibly kind, attentive and even provided a list of places in Denver/the Springs we could get the wine again, without the travel. I LOVED the Bourbon Merlot even though I haven't ever been a huge Merlot girl. I found the Tempranillo to be exceptionally smooth. I loved the spicy/chili cider. It was so refreshing and also, really unique. I can't wait to go back.

It's a newer tasting room with a fun contemporary atmosphere. They make up cycled items a great looking decor. There's more than just wine for the non grape lovers. Friendly staff and a nice patio.

So I did like the facility, but this location was last on our winery tour list for the day. We hadn't gone to too many, but out of all the wineries I liked their wine the least and didn't actually purchase any. HOWEVER, I appreciate the beauty of the facility and the rustic atmosphere. My daughter loves foxes and so the fence decorations were a neat touch. The bar tenders were super helpful and I could tell they had a fun friendly reputation, because several people came that were regulars and they had a great time. I didn't get to check out their ciders, because of time, and I am super bummed because I do love ciders. I plan on going back to taste their ciders. It's not that their wine was bad, I had just had so much this day and with them being the last I don't feel I appreciated it as much as I would if it was the first location. I do highly recommend this place however. The indoor/outdoor patio is beautiful. The tasting was cheap and I appreciate how they broke the tasting up in sections so you could select preferred flights. It's not a location I will avoid, I plan on coming back.

I really had high hopes for this place. A cidery and a winery? A winning combination. Sadly, both were lackluster to me. My friend and I did both a wine tasting and a cider flight. On the positive side, the cider flight includes all of their ciders and they serve it on this fun little round tray so that you can navigate the round yourself. Unfortunately, I didn't like any of the wines and only a couple of the ciders. The standouts were the chile cider and the bourbon barrel-aged cider. I know they rotate ciders seasonally, so I would probably consider coming back to taste new ones or give some of the others another try. All that being said, I love the tasting room. Very rustic chic, with what looks to be up cycled products and materials used throughout. And, I love how they make "mixed drinks" with their ciders and wines. I didn't try one because, again, I wasn't in love with the wines or ciders in the first place. But, I love the concept.

I love coming here and sitting on the deck or at the cool inside tables (when it is too hot outside). Red Fox is known for some red wines aged in bourbon barrels. I hate bourbon, so am not a fan of this wine. But you might be! The non-bourboned red wine is very good. And they have about a half dozen ciders. Also, they make some very fun, fruity wine cocktails that are a summer delight. The tasting room has a fun, modern-casual vibe that makes coming back easy. You can get tastes or order a flight of wines or ciders. I recommend you do a preliminary taste and then do a flight. That guarantees a fun afternoon. You can also buy a bottle of wine or take home a freshly pulled bottle of cider. No food is served other than some bread or pretzels. This is sad, but they only have a tasting room health certificate. There is an occasional food truck here. That is fabulous!

The pepper one tasted like someone squeezed a pepper into the glass! Very strong and flavorful just not my taste!

Restoration Vineyards, Palisades , Colorado - July 13, 2026…read more This is a beautiful winery with a modern indoor tasting room and large beautiful outdoor covered grassy area with lots of tables and chairs that has a nice stage for music events. We tasted indoors. Zander was our server and he was terrific! My wife and I shared a tasting and Zander did a great job describing the wines. The wines I've tried from other wineries in this area typically aren't my favorite. I tend to pick up a flavor that is faintly herbaceous on just about every varietal I've tried. Kind of like a stemy character. Not overpowering, but just not my favorite. Not the case with any of the wines we tried at Restoration. The flavor profiles were spot on. All the wines we had were terrific - Chardonnay, Riesling, Rose, Semillon, Pinotage, Barbera, Cab. Franc, and Red Blend. Winery owner, Gary, happened to hear me mention how much I liked the wines here and how I had been picking up the stemy character from other wines in the area. He explained that Restoration uses a unique processes to help eliminate that character. Realizing how much we liked the wines here, Gary opened a bottle of Semillion that was not part of the tasting flight. It had won a double gold medal at the San Francisco Wine Competition and came in second in Best of class. What a delight! I highly recommend this winery!

Even though it was 95°F outside, we stayed comfortable thanks to the plenty of shaded seating and outdoor misters. There are cozy chairs on the lawn where we spent quite a while enjoying our wine and the scenery. The winery is also pet-friendly both inside and outside, which was a huge plus for us. They don't serve food, but they typically have food trucks on-site. We did the tasting, which included all six wines currently available. My favorite was the White Blend, while my husband's favorite was the Red Blend. The staff was incredibly friendly. After we ordered our tasting inside, they even brought the remaining pours out to me while I was relaxing outside, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, Restoration Vineyards offers beautiful views, great wine, excellent service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We would absolutely visit again.

We tried a number of different products. My favorite was probably the chocolate/strawberry mead - yum! However, as many know, the alcohol content of mead can get pretty high and I didn't want to be plastered for the entire day. Overall, I think we tried 11 different items (try their tasting flights), but in the end, I settled on a glass of the white merlot, closely beating out the red merlot that my wife ended up selecting. Given the great weather, we ended up sitting in the gazebo outside and had a lovely time. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable. As I said, the problem for me is that they have such a large selection. I would definitely have the chocolate strawberry mead again, but would probably decide to uber there so that I can have an entire bottle. I definitely recommend trying out this place.

They have a limited standard wine menu, so if you aren't into sweet wines you may have a harder time finding a ton to try, but I still enjoyed trying the fruit wines and the select red wines they had.
