Loved this hotel! It's beautiful and located in the Mont Marte district I believe. We splurged on our room and I am so glad we did! We had a view of the Eiffel Tower and a view of the neighborhood (and a cemetery, where apparently some famous people are buried). Back to the hotel - hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating - specifically David. Our room was wonderful - very spacious with big windows and the bathroom had a beautiful tub I took a dip in and all of their toiletries are eco-friendly. It felt like a little apartment, actually. Super charming. The rooftop bar was really nice with a variety of seating options. We had a drink on our first night and it was lovely, although it did start to rain on us so it was a quick one. The hotel lobby is spacious with beverage options and merchandise to choose from if desired. The hotel is a great spot for taxi service so it's very convenient to get transportation to and from there as it's situated on a corner. Behind the hotel is a really lovely neighborhood of cafes and shops, which we explored one morning - unbeknownst to us, there was a bike race and it was kinda cool to see that in action. I wish we had more time to explore that area but we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at a cafe and bought some yummy chocolate on our stroll. So much more to see but we ran out of time. Would definitely stay here again if we got the chance. read more

Terrass HôTel, although expensive and in the heart of Montmartre village, is a MUST stay when you're visiting Paris. A short walk from Blanche train station, the hotel is an easy find, tucked in the corner of the street. Our check in was easy and we got a room on the fifth floor. It was a classic room which was a relatively good size with a gorgeous bathroom. We also had a balcony with a spectacular view of the Eiffel tour. I toured the lobby of the hotel which had a charging station for phones, complimentary water and plenty of seating areas. When I walked around the village, around the corner was a crepe stand which I made sure I tried. We only stayed here one night but I'm recommending you stay here if you can. read more

We love the area and its proximity to so many cute restaurants and shops. Our hotel (sixth floor) had an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower and was very clean and had everything we needed and more! It even came with a Dyson hair dryer which we loved since ours wasn't the right voltage. We had two balconies, one had two chairs and table which was so fun to sit while you watch the tower sparkle at night! We really enjoyed the rooftop bar, you have to go if you stay here! Since we were hotel guests, we got seats right next to the window. It was a beautiful view! The best part was the extremely kind staff. The front desk went above and beyond. When we overslept and almost missed our tour one day, they let us have a last minute late checkout. And when we accidentally left something in the room, David and the bellhop (didn't get his name) ran out after us after we left to give it to us! We would 100% stay here again. read more

An absolutely lovely hotel and area to stay in! The hotel and area were selected for us by our wonderfully amazing travel agent. Honestly, this place was perfect for our needs. Plenty of food and shops within walking distance, easy location to get picked up by an uber, right in Montmartre and an easy walk to Sacre Coeur. Hotel staff was so friendly and welcoming...I lost track of the number of languages I heard them speaking to guests in. They have museum tickets available at the front desk. More than they cost at museums but sooooo much easier than dealing with lines if you haven't planned ahead and ordered or purchased a museum pass. We really enjoyed the living areas downstairs. It wasn't ever busy while we were there which was really nice, so we'd bring breakfast back and hang out or play arcade games in the club room late at night. You must go up to the 7th floor - even just to appreciate the view when you first arrive...day or night it's stunning. A couple slight misses for me: -There's a seriously strong fragrance that they use throughout the hotel. I wasn't a fan of the smell and there wasn't any escaping it. After a few days I got used to it, but maybe that's something to use a bit less of. -The shower is kind of a pain. There was no way of keeping the water from flooding out into the bathroom when taking a shower. We ended up using two towels to mop up the water after each shower. Strange design flaw, not sure if it's every room but ours was certainly a bit of a headache. That said I still whole-heartedly recommend this place! read more

We stayed at the Terrass Hotel for our first trip to Paris. It's located in Montmartre across from the Cimetière de Montmartre, and is easily within walking distance of a lot of great food choices and the Sacre Coeur. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful! Most of them spoke English as well as French, so communicating was not an issue most of the time. The concierge was able to give us restaurant recommendations and advise on how to get to certain parts of Paris most efficiently. They even helped us call a few places to confirm reservations -- I figured it would take me longer to communicate in my mediocre French than for them to make a quick call. Our room was very modern and clean. It wasn't extremely spacious, but it was enough for the two of us! The front desk was quick to respond when I reported one of the lights being out. We also ordered room service one evening since we heard the in-house restaurant was a top choice to visit. The food was very good and delivered more quickly than we expected! The street noise was moderate at night, but nothing kept us awake. Our view was of the cemetery across the street, which I actually enjoyed. We were also able to wander up to the rooftop bar and enjoy some drinks one evening. They have a panoramic view of Paris, and an especially good view of the Eiffel Tower from the bar. The cocktails were good, and I would have liked to try a few more had I not gotten sleepy! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in the area. read more

Beauty that is only skin deep. Terrible service. Stay somewhere else and just visit the rofftop bar. I received an email before arrival asking for our arrival time and offering assistance with anything we needed. I responded with the requested info and asked for help with a dinner reservation. After two days without a response, I made the reservation myself. After another two days, I emailed them again letting them know that I made the reservation myself so they didn't double book. Never got any response, nor was it mentioned at check-in. The room: Large, yes. Renovated and modern in style, yes, but cheaply done - our wood floor was spotted with stains and striped with scratches. You can hear the plumbing from adjoining rooms. The air conditioning didn't work - the single vent is hidden in the ceiling moulding and blew only un-cooled air. First call: "We unlocked it, try again." Second call: "We will send someone up." No one ever came. The common areas of of the building were being cooled, but not our room. I mentioned this again at check out, and it was completely ignored. The view from our Tour Eiffel room, for which we paid a substantial premium? From the window, you could just see the top. From the balcony, nada, though you're afforded excellent views of people working in the office building directly across the street, and of the adjacent cemetery. The concierge agreed to arrange for a car to the airport, after lengthy discussion of the pickup time. We came down the next morning - no car, and the concierge (different person) just stared at us blankly. Fortunately we were able to get an Uber and just barely made our flight. read more

My husband and I were here for business and this was suggested for their convenience but I would definitely choose to stay here anytime I go to Paris. It's a great little area. Much more quaint, easy to explore and nice restaurants/cafes nearby. Our room had a great view of the Eiffel tower and they have a rooftop bar with great views as well. Our room was excellent, couldn't have asked for better. We were expecting it to be much smaller because of being in Europe but it was great! The service was FABULOUS! Everyone spoke english and were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using Uber over taxi's. Uber's were easy to get, clean and nice and much less expensive than the cabs (and MUCH better than the cabs) I will definitely stay here again on our next visit. It's not a super high class place but it was perfect for us! Loved it! We were in room #605 and it was great! read more

Avoid US-based chain hotels while in Paris and stay here! Hotel Terrass is a wonderful hotel located off the beaten path in Montmartre and away from all the touristy nonsense near the Seine. Rooms are very modern and extremely well appointed. Staff are very helpful. Excellent rooftop bar with a wonderful city view. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The front desk was knowledgeable and extremely helpful, especially because my friend and I did not speak much French. Vince and another gentleman with long hair were always willing to set up our tickets and even gave us written instructions, in English, for the metro to Palace of Versailles. I felt just ever so slightly discriminated against for being Asian American by the staff, some were friendly, most gave me a rude vibe, but who doesn't in Paris? That being said, I am rating this solely on the hotel. The location is nice, it's tucked away in Montemarte, far away enough from the bustling life of Paris, but close enough where getting to the popular spots is merely a walk and a train ride away. I only write reviews when hotels are wonderful or absolutely horrible. I am sad to say this was the later. There was nothing to note about this hotel, except for the absolutely horrible service. We had the unfortunate luck of having something go wrong in our room. I understand things go wrong in hotels (especially when they are located in charming old buildings), however, it is a service based industry and the staff should be pleasant when there are problems with accommodations. Unfortunately at this hotel, that was not the case. I believe the way in which it was handled speaks volumes about the quality of the hotel. The incident: The hot water was not working in our room. The concierge ignored my initial complaint (in english). The second time my boyfriend complained (in french) and they sent someone to fix the water and were unable to do so. What happened next is rather odd. They expected us to stay in a room with no hot water for several days (the water was freezing). They would not refund the remaining nights and let us switch hotels. After several phone calls they agreed to move us to a room with hot water, however, they would only switch us to a room with two beds. When we said this was not OK, as we were staying as a couple and would like a room with one bed, they would not accommodate. After 48 minutes of back and forth they downgrading us to a significantly smaller room and noisier room (without any form of remuneration). I highly recommend avoiding this hotel for the following reason. One comes to hotels (and pays a premium over other forms of accommodation) in order to be on vacation and not deal with unfortunate realities such as broken plumbing. In the chance something happens (which seems relatively common as a result of the "renovations"), it is the last thing one wants to deal with on vacation. It can ruin, what is otherwise suppose to be a special time. Of course, if it were an otherwise remarkable hotel I would be willing to overlook this series of events. Sadly, it is not. The room service is edible (low-average American standards, poor by french standards). However, the breakfast is decent (average, perhaps slightly above). The views are OK. However, it is of the skyline in Paris, which is far from the most charming feature of the city. It is close to a hospital, so if you have a street facing room, there is a great deal of noise. The hotel is in a modern decor. It was perhaps overly ambitious for the budget (trying to look high-scale cheaply rarely works out), but given the cost of the furniture and the look they were trying to achieve it could have been much worse. read more

What a great hotel! We chose the Eiffel Tower view room, and despite the fact it was mostly foggy/polluted during our stay, we enjoyed it! The lobby is so well-designed, and there's plenty of places to just sit and relax. The room we had was very spacious and wonderfully decorated. The bathroom: just amazing. Huge tub and a rainfall shower. The Montmartre neighborhood is great. It was fun to get lost walking around it and stopping into various shops. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The one thing I didn't like, and it's very minor, is that the room overlooked a cemetery. read more

Great views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower large rooms. But service is to sporadic. Housekeeping needs work. I booked several welcoming packages. To make my wife's second trip to Paris this year special. Champagne was stuffed in mini fridge no ice bucket. Rose petals put on obnoxious multi colored blanket rather than white sheet which would have been visually appealing. Vase of roses was beautiful. But an item called love box was completely forgotten but was billed which they corrected. Good hotel with a little effort could be great. I will return hopefully next time it will reach its true potential. read more

Loved staying at this hotel. It was extremely convenient to all. The neighborhood is fantastic and is so fun and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Hands down the most beautiful and comfortable hotel to stay at. We stayed here for two weeks and it was centrally located to everything. We had the basilica to the north of us, Eiffel Tower in front from our room. Our room was a suite on the top floor. And we could see the Eiffel Tower light up at night just beautiful. The concierge were so nice and attentive they took care of all our needs. This place is also located near a chicken rotisserie that is finger licking good. Excelente! We debated so many hotels in Paris and we made the right choice. This has to be the cutest neighborhood I've traveled to in a long time--like NYC, it never sleeps. It's quaint and full of life. People are friendly and our hotel took great care of us! We will continue returning to this hotel for years to come. From Enzo and the fabulous rooftop team to the concierge crew who helped us arrange a day trip to Normandy and greeted us every morning with so much care--beyond amazing. I definitely wouldn't stay here again. Mostly because of the service. On 3 occasions the hotel staff indicated that they would fulfill a minor request but it seemed as if they just completely dismissed them. 1) we had no nespresso coffee pods in our room. Hotel staff assured is that they would give us 3 or 4 pods for the morning. Never happened. 2) after a long day of walking all over Paris we asked if we could just have silverware deliver to our room. The host staff assured us with many thank you'd and or of course madams. But the silverware never came 2 hours later. 3) we called on the morning for our shuttle service to the airport and the hotel had no record of or call. Had no idea what we were talking about. The hotel price is 3 star the service is not even 1 star. also the rooftop bar was super slow. read more

A group of 8 of us traveled to France last week and stayed in Paris for 2 days, we decided on Terrass hotel based on other good reviews, location and uniqueness of the hotel. They did not disappoint, front of the house staff was wonderful and helped us were quick/helpful with all of our questions and requests. The bar/restaurant on the rooftop had a great view of the city, the drinks were rather expensive BUT the time and effort that was put into the drinks made it well worth the price. If we do decide to go back to Paris we will definitely keep this hotel in mind! Thank you staff at Terrass Hotel for making our stay memorable and providing great customer service. read more

We had the cheapest room and we're still blown away by the quality, especially the balcony view of the Eiffel tower. I recently stayed at Terrass Hotel in Paris with my cousin and friend for 2 nights. (3 girls in our 20's). It was a very nice and pretty hotel. We had a deluxe room for 3 people and it was quite large and the bathroom was very nice! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Although it wasn't in season, we went up to the roof of the hotel and it was amazing! we saw the Eiffel Tower in the morning and lit up at night. Such a beautiful and unique view. The area was great ( so close to the Moulin Rouge) and I liked being away from the very touristy areas. There were soo many places to eat within a couple blocks of the hotel, we never had to leave the area at night. I would definitely reccomend this hotel! read more

I stayed at Terrass Hotel for 5 days. I booked their Studio D'Artiste Eiffel 2 months before the trip. Their suites were all booked already. They gave me room number 604. I was worried that my room was on the 6th floor because I once read a review to avoid 6th floor. The review said that 6th floor became noisey due to the restaurant on the 7th floor. That was not the case. My room was very quiet. The street noise was somewhat audible but it didn't bother me. I think if I was on the 2nd or 3rd floor, I may have been bothered. Overall, I really liked Terrass Hotel. The bed was super comfy and the view of Eiffel Tower was stunning. I didn't eat their brunch because I am not a heavy morning eater. There are so many beautiful and delicious cafés near Terrass Hotel so I wouldn't recommend getting brunch here. I did try to get dinner reservation for their restaurant. Unfortunately, they cancelled my reservation a month before the trip due to a private party. I thought about booking another date but by this time I had already reserved other restaurants. Anyway, this did not bother me as they gave me a month prior notice so that was acceptable. read more

If you're looking to stay in the Montmartre neighborhood, look no further. Views of the Sacre Coeur from the top (outside) terrace and better yet, one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower. I mean that's one of the reasons you come to Paris right? You can have the view while enjoying breakfast (prices were steep for even a coffee and croissant, but you're paying for the view and the service, so it's worth it in my opinion). We had breakfast up here on our last morning and met the sweetest gal, she was one of the servers at the restaurant. Wish I remembered her name though. She had worked in California for some time, which I think really showed because she was so kind and so talkative, she really made the experience that much better that morning. Let's start from when we arrived though. We had just arrived in from a long flight from the states and on top of that our luggage was lost, so as much as we hoped the room was ready, we didn't want to push our luck and just expected to check in, drop our carry on bags off and hit the city. We got there and sure enough, the room was ready! Again, that was a complete miracle, but it sure made our day a lot better because we got to put our feet up for a bit. The lobby area was under a bit of construction, there was something being done with the front door and the mirrors above it, but after that the hotel is very chic, modern and beautiful. It's just off a main street and on the corner, so before getting there I wondered if we would have problems with the noise, but we never heard a thing! We explained to the staff that we were hoping our luggage would come in the next couple of days, but we weren't sure when. I know it's not on them to remember, but after we had told one of the young men once, he continued to check and see if our luggage had come after we were out for the day. I had written the concierge before the trip asking if they could make us a reservation for dinner. The place I wanted was booked up for the four nights we had there, so I asked them for a recommendation for something close to the hotel- knowing very well that we could be jet lagged and just want to walk back instead of using the metro or paying for a taxi. I described what we were looking for and the time we would prefer. They gave me a couple of options, I picked and they made the reservation. I hadn't even found the place on the map (google maps) while looking, so it was a great find. Literally across the street from the hotel! We had dinner there and loved it, I'd go back if I was in the area again. Though when we asked the first day where we could grab lunch, the girl at the front desk just gave us a vague "there are so many places in the area" kind of answer. Nice. When I asked her about a place I had read about nearby, she said I don't like that place, I haven't ever been, but the service is bad. Hahah. Again, vague, but we ended up finding a street cafe, under a heater, that was just fine. She was right in a way, there are tons of cafes and restaurants in the area, but it's a bit overwhelming to pick when you've just arrived in a place. We took the elevator up to our room, there are more than two elevators in the place- don't worry! In the hall way on the way to our room, one of the stairs carpeting was ripped and the lights were dim, I wondered if this place is just pretty on the outside, but our room wasn't going to be what I then expected.... the room was smaller than I had thought it'd be, but it was just fine for two people (was there with my mother), that expect to be on the go a lot. I liked the modern design and the calming colors that they went with. The bathroom was very modern, great lighting, amazing shower. We were very pleased with how it was. There was a little area with coffee maker, glasses, tea cups... etc. set up. There were robes and slippers to be used. I'm one that loves a good robe, so that was a bonus to find there. If we weren't always so tired after getting back to the hotel so late, I would definitely take the time to watch the Eiffel Tower light show at night from the bar area. They are open until 11pm- not sure if that was just the weekend hours, but late enough to just enjoy a nice glass of bubbly or a cocktail before turning in. This hotel is literally steps away from restaurants, cafes, shops, the metro is close as well if you're trying to get across or into other parts of the city. I have been meaning to write this review since I return but I have to give praises to Terrass for accommodating a large group of wanderlust travelers such as us! It was a total of 10 and I know we were not easy. Francesco (I think that was his name) and Sophie and the entire front desk were amazing helping pull of my friend's 30th birthday surprise. Even though we had restrictions about where she made it work in the room. They were very knowledgeable about the city and where to go. The rooms were adequate in size and I was astounded that every room had a different layout. The view is amazing in the morning and breakfast is splendid! I will definitely return! Don't miss this one! On the hill just below the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre is one of the most enjoyable hotels in Paris. Spotless and convenient it's a great place to stay just on this alone, however, the staff makes this a five star visit. Louis (concierge) and Leeza (front desk) were two of the best ambassadors for the city of Paris I've ever encountered. Louis got us into Jules Verne at the Eifel Tower when everyone said it was impossible to get a reservation. Leeza spent the better part of an hour telling us about hidden gems in Paris. See also recommended one of the best restaurants (best piece of fish I've ever eaten) I been to on my many trips to Paris. The entire staff was wonderful and extremely helpful; five star (six if you had it). The view is as good as on the Eifel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe. Wonderful read more
